On June 12, 2022, police were monitoring city surveillance cameras when they observed a female with an active felony warrant in Wausau, WI. When they made contact, she ignored their commands and continued to walk away. Officers were able to detain her but she would not allow them to search her and demanded to be taken to jail immediately.

That's easy to answer. Left wing extremist DA's. Cops catch them, but charges are more often than not dismissed. I think a good example would be the Summer of Love Riots of 2020. Where rioters seized blocks calling it the Chaz, burned police stations, threw explosives at cops, and beat anyone they wanted. Adding fuel to the fire you had democrat politicians saying things like Kamala Harris and I quote "Protesters should not let up", while many people lost their business and lives, like the 16 year old kid that drove into the Chaz and was gunned down by extremist.

Yes, it makes sense they dropped the charges, because the US Justice system is F up. She did commit an offense, but getting charged 4 times for basically the same thing or at most two offenses is crazy. This insane pilling up of charges on the offender is just a heavy handed tactic to scare the person into agreeing to a plea deal.

This is a common way to secure convictions without the need for costly and time-consuming trials.
