- Today I show you how to Upload Fonts to Design Space and which font file type is best. WHAT IS an OTF file vs a TTF file?
Adding fonts can be a bit tricky for some of you new to Cricut and the Design Space platform.
So let’s snag a free font from Creative Fabrica and practice :). We will be uploading a font using my Mac desktop. If you need to learn the iPad or mobile device way. You are going to follow the similar steps- however with a mobile phone you will need an app to open the font files. I have that video listed here to help you with those few additional steps. :)

I always remember OTF and TTF as "Open This Font" and "Trash This Font" 😅 if its an option when I download 😊

When I download fonts do I have to close out on each one? Or can I download my say 5 fonts then close and they will appear? Please let me know
Yes just download and upload all your fonts to your font book. Then open circuit
You can actually refresh at the top and your new font will appear.
Do your instruction apply to using windows 10 as well? In not sure if windows will support this file to upload to Cricut Design space..
I would try doing so. There might be a few steps that are slightly different but I am sure you can still complete this task adding it to a font book. I have seen many use uploaded fonts on a windows operating system. I’m sorry I only have the steps for a Mac.
I have waaay too many fonts! How many new ones will design space hold? I have a folder on my desktop that is named ‘fonts not installed yet’ because when my computer/design space updates the installed fonts automatically add to design space but I was curious at how many is safe to add?
Great question my friend. I honestly believe the iCloud can hold quite a bit but it also depends on how many fonts you can have on your computer hard drive. I have probably added over 100 fonts easy to DS. DS I feels adds and removes fonts on their end for those that don’t get used much. So I think for uploading - have fun and add the ones you know you want yo get creative with ☺️. I’ve never had a error saying I ran out of room for a new font yet 🤓😅
