Watched you over the years. Just bought a 94 f150 4x4 to convert my 95 f150 2wd into 4wd. Guy said I had to buy the whole truck for $500 not just take the parts. This is going to be fun. 10x25 storage unit. This is going to be fun.
oh man! I just got myself a 95 f150 in similar condition and this video is being added to my favorites for when I need that extra boost of encouragement!!!! It came from up north so there is quite a bit of frame and body rust. luckily there isn't any frame rot. got quite a bit of work ahead of me!
Well stay tuned... I have the flareside as well and if you watched my latest vids... I will be fixing it up in the very near future. Will be better vids than my older ones. Will actually show HOW I do things....not just what I did.
Nice truck! It's amazing when I chevy guy buys one ford and it never lets him down, then he's a ford person after that! You did good by keeping that one and restoring it, the new ones arn't very long lasting. It's sad. Enjoy it!
Yeah the darn winter road salt that they spread on the roads is killer! I think vehicles are made a little more resistant now than they used to be... although a lot of them have more plastic just covering areas that start rusting so it takes longer before you see any of it. I did everything I could to keep it from happening...still happened. Hopefully my green truck will never see road salt again!
Outstanding job. I Now know who to go to for questions with my new to me truck. I have been hard-core Chevy my whole life, but I got a really good deal on an 88 F2 50 That is turning out to be a pretty solid truck
Awesome video.. what a transformation. Been watching this truck since the first video you made about it. I hope you continue to make vids for more years to come. Thank you for the entertainment!
nice work man,you couldn't tell it was rusty, depending on where you lived the road dept spread alot of salt during the winter and that's how the panels rusted out, some people think oh its's a truck big deal and they don't take care of it,my brother in law got a chevy cheyenne and he had the same rust spots,it was used by a contractor and they never took care of it and by the time he got it it needed alot of little things to make it run right,i told him it needs alot of work and he says "well i really don't have the time to do anything to it,its just a work truck" nice mentality lol!
Fox Shop, I've watched many videos for repairs over time, (just subscribed btw) and this video really makes me want to tackle my 1994 F-150 xlt Ext cab 4x4 the same way you did. I have the tools, space, and SOME of the talent, just need the money haha. I really want to undercoat my truck like you did while she's still rust free too
+Toluntito Thank you...and all you see is what got on camera. LOL you don't see the hour it took to get a rusty bolt or nut off.... or all the time spent say on the water pump with 4 snapped off bolts etc.. etc...etc.. LOL but its all part of the game. MANY frustrating times, but all worth it. I try not to let that overflow to what gets seen on camera.
+The Fox Shop im 15 and have a 1992 ford xlt 5.0 and you've become part of my motivation to fixt it up. since i live in south texas the truck has no rust just small cosmetic details but i also want to improve the performance
Great job! Started with viewing U-Pol Raptor videos and now I'm looking at half of your vids about this truck haha. I have a 96 ext cab with the 7.3 powerstroke. My paint scheme is swapped with yours.
nice man I know how much effort it takes my dad and my brother and I restored my brothers 1996 f150 just like yours 2 door, long box 5.0 but his was 2wd we went more for a street truck style next summer we're putting a new bored 5.0 block and engine components plus new transmission estimated 500+ horse power
How did you prep all the parts you painted like side panels especially the inside side panels around the engine. I have 95 f150 same color just without white stripe. Sick build.
wow man this is amazing, and that paint color is sweet and that truck is absolutely beautiful at the end, i haven't done anything as serious as you have yet because it was repainted and had all the rust fixed when i bought it from my brother in law, send me your email and ill send ya some pics of my 91 f150 that im working on
is there anyway you could take a pic of wires that go into the brake switch. it should be 2 green and grey wires then a red wire attached by a white clip. the red wire on mine has been cut on both sides so I was needing to know where it supposed to go cause I think it's my cruise problem. thanks
Ok I've done replaced clock spring, brake switch, deactivation switch and throttle position sensor. But I'm pretty sure is that cut red wire that's causing no cruise so I'd like to know where it posed to go
If you don't mind my asking.. What wheels are those? I just picked up a '94 with, what I believe are, these same wheels you installed post-restoration.. But they're in need of restoration themselves.. and I don't know what brand they are.
Nice awesome truck! Glad to see another person love these trucks as much as I do. I do have question about your green and white truck. Is it a mass air v8 or speed dencity?
I'd love to restore an F-150 like this one, but unfortunately I dont have the capacity to do it myself and to get it done by someone else will cost me 2 or three times what you spent.
Love these trucks....but you might as well have bought another truck for the money of all this stuff....nice to know however there is one out there that'll be like new for years to come
+***Classified*** Within 6 years there was a spot right above the left rear wheel well trim that was starting to show rust...very light...but then I just went all downhill from there. I had the truck undercoated when I bougt it also, but there is the inner wheel arch that is spot welded to the outer wheel well, and that is why these trucks like to rust there. It is rather difficult to wash it out as well and to be honest didn't even think about it at the time. She did get driven long distances in the winter on salt covered roads as well. I always tried to wash it off everywhere I could, but it still got to it. The frame had a lot of surface rust, looked worse than it really was...I used a needle scaler and spent hours upon hours on that....got it so darn clean you could have eaten jello off of it. No weak spots in the frame, its solid...but the body was in bad shape around the wheels and cab corners.
The Fox Shop It doesn't seem like the newer ones have gotten any better. I've seen a bunch of the 09-14 f-150's around here with rust over the wheel wells. The silverado's from that generation do it really bad too. Were you able to get up underneath the cab and clean the frame up nice under there? Looks like that would have been a pain.
+***Classified*** Yeah I did...I didn't take the cab off but did what I could where I could get to the top of the frame, but got the sides and underneath all cleaned up! Really up under the cab wasn't too bad. I have been noticing a lot of chevys rusing as well, they just had the fender flares or whatever you want to call em covering that part, but have been noticing more and more, rust showing outside the flares...so they must be really rusty!
The Fox Shop I saw an 03 silverado on craigslist for parts. It looked way too good to be true, and it was a Z-71 too, fully loaded. Turns out it had a broken frame from the rust. I think chevy's rust the worst out of all trucks up here, especially on the frames. Don't even get me started on the brake lines, lol.
My dad had a 93 f 150 xl. Seeing this video brought back alot of memories.
way better looking than new f150s. I love those wheels!!
Thanks! I think this generation just has a timeless style LOL. I think they still look great rolling down the road, and not like an "old truck".

I used to have a 1992 F250. A Southern California truck - zero rust. It is hard to believe in other parts of the country rust is such a big problem.

+Chris Thanks! I really appreciate that!
Awesome man nice job.

Simply Awesome!

That's awesome! I would like to build a truck like that myself.
I know you would no sooner sell this truck than I'd sell my 1990 Ranger, but I bet this could for $26k, if not more. Incredible job.
I dunno about 26k.. Would probably take more than that to pry her away from me though 😂
Hey man, I’m 15 and I’m thinking of doing the same thing. Any way you could tell me about how much all the exterior and/or engine work cost?
very nice job! she's gorgeous. :)
Thank you very much! Appreciate it!
sick truck!! I have a 95 bronco I need to take off the frame and restore going on year two working on it
Thank you! Chop chop! Get to it! :-)
so sick

GREAT JOB. I HAVE 1 IM TRYING TO START ON
Good luck! It was a heck of a lot of work, but all worth it in the end!

Pro Comp 1069 There is a link in the description of my newer videos to them
damn it's sexy but a lot of work and worth it especially a hobby to ,it's beautiful
+Alex Ochoa Thank you!!
I WANT THIS TRUCK
+Devan Foley gotta build your own! LOL, this one is mine! Owned since brand new and never getting rid of her.
I don't blame ya at all good looking truck though
Nice awesome truck! Glad to see another person love these trucks as much as I do. I do have question about your green and white truck. Is it a mass air v8 or speed dencity?
It is speed density. MAP not MAF. I believe the ones with MAF in 1994 were automatics and California trucks. Manual non Cali trucks still got the MAP.
What’s the part number that your replaced at 6:05?
What brand paint and what did u use to apply it?
What catalog had body parts? Where do you go for your obs ford parts?
Wherever I can...probably all those parts that old made by the same place... I dunno.. that was a LMCTRUCK catalog
@@TheFoxShop i definitely meant to put this in the other video. You knew what I meant. Posted again on right one.
All good 👍

suprisingly the parts are dirt cheap. I've spent 500 bucks so far on materials and parts and the truck is half done.
Since you bought the truck new, how long was it before you first noticed the rust starting?
+***Classified*** Within 6 years there was a spot right above the left rear wheel well trim that was starting to show rust...very light...but then I just went all downhill from there.
