My dad overdosed on drugs when I was six because he "couldn't handle the pressure of raising a daughter" and what made it worse, he did it while he was watching me. So i sat in his old apartment, with his DEAD body, waiting for my mom to come get me. My dad and her split up and i went with my dad every other week, so i had to sit in that house for 2 days waiting for her. First time I ever seen my mom cry. I dont think I'll ever be able to forget what that experience was like. But now I am 15 and in high-school, with an awesome step-dad. Doesn't stop me from missing him though. I no longer like going to friends houses either or anywhere overnight without my mom. We tried therapy but it didn't work well so now I just stay home with mom everyday.
I know I’m a month late, and im so so so sorry that must have been so traumatic to u! It happened at such young age to. And I want you to know I don’t even know if u need to hear this right now but I’ll say it anyways, Ilysm and im glad you have a great step dad! And at least your spending time with ur mom! I bet she’s amazing!

Then I decided that there was no point to keep trying to be someone I’m not bc either way I’ll get judged so I would rather be myself.
