I love FF Type Zero/FF Agito... its a really good game and loved playing in on my PSP.. The replays and new game+ made it even better..the combat it needed a little polish but I really loved it.. the way you can change char anytime and the battles were fun... i had more fun w type zero combat than w FFXV combat. I like your theory it actually makes sense
I only played the 7 compliation and I just beat Type:0 a few days ago, and it's one of the best games I've ever played. Ff7 is too

I played type 0. I wish the lore for it was more expensive.
i do know FF5 but wasn't type 0 that kind of game were you messed with the system clock to powerlevel you heroes to then stop playing the game?
Type 0 you did missions. It was very redundant but the story was good enough to keep you interested.
Type zero has more in common with FF13
13 doesn't exist. We don't talk about the 13 games, except for 13-2 which was decent.

@@ChrisAtheist 13 had no story, no character development, you ran in a straight line, the battle system sucked, ridiculous you died if your party leader died, no relevant reviving system, the summoning system was awful and nothing about the heroes made you root for them.
Ff13 and type zero are all part of the Fabula Nova Chrysalis mythology. Their lores are intertwined. And yes 13 was a rough game but it's still a final fantasy at heart and after having gone back and playing it a second and third time it's kinda grown on me, its decent honestly. They only got worse as they expanded it to a trilogy. But that's just my opinion

While the battle system wasn't the best it's still okay

And about nothing About the heroes made you root for them?
I agree about snow and hope
But the rest of the character's we're okay
And name one Final fantasy after FFVI which has every character to root for them.

@@finalfantasytheory 13s story was incoherent trash, on that we agree. Not sure there even was a story outside of "become more.powerful through fighting until you kill gods*
6 was incoherent?!? Jumpy yes and uneven in places, particularly as regards the role of the three groups that made up the Returners, and the fact that you visit whole nations that are empty of people... but not incoherent. Certainly no worse than 7. The story of 6 was so good they took many of its themes and put them back into 9. 9s story is an amalgam of 1, 4 and 6.
Disagree with me? Play the remaster.
I think FFV stands tall in people's minds because the battle system was exciting, it had every job fully expressed and the characters were so customizable. TBH though with all that you could do with the characters and jobs, they could have made the game 3 times longer.
That's one of my favorite things about 12: you can get to a full expression of game play by the end of the game.
