I have the exact purse as yours. My husband got it for me back in 2019. It still holds it shape. The purse may be expensive, but it's very pratical and versatile especially for everyday use.

I been regretting and wanting the Chanel woc (regret because of increase)
But in the back of my mind I know I want the metis because I love using my LV favorite but tired of brown monogram. It hit me that I might as well get the leather version for the subtle look. Also for less then the little woc and holds way more. Uhhhh … no brainer. I need to get this. I do wish it didn’t have any hardware to avoid scratches and peeling 🤦🏿♂️. Also wish it came in silver hardware.
I never thought of silver hardware. That would give it an edgier look for sure. I’ve had this bag for 4 years and I still love it. I’ve been wearing it everyday (again) since January! It makes so many casual outfits a little bit more put together.

Have you tried goo gone to remove the adhesive residue? Rubbing alcohol on a q-tip might work as well but I would be very careful. Goo gone is probably much less abrasive.

The one product I would recommend that would take off that sticker residue is wax pot cleaner. Works miracles on anything sticky. Give that a try!

I am not sure it considered their fault since it was my mistake to leave the sticker on fire so long 🤷🏻♀️

Knock on wood No glazing issues and the embossing has held up well too! I have even over stuffed my bag on several occasions. I don’t know why the embossing wears out on others. I’ve heard about that.
Did you ever resolve the residue issue? Curious if you tried olive oil, dawn soap, etc..
No I never did. I always forget.
Dawn dish soap. Let it soak on there. Apply with QTip and make sure the leather is protected.

I’ve used nail polish remover on glass to remove residue I don’t know if it would affect the hardware
I’ve had it in for so long, I will stay on the safe side and just leave it as is.
Use Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths to remove scratches on the hardwares. It does wonders.

I’m okay with the condition of my bag. I really think it has held up well. The sticker was my fault after all. Bit trust and believe if there were any glazing or cracking issues, I would be at the boutique in a split second 😂

I have the same bag. 3 years old. My glazing is cracking. You notice it more when you have the flag open.

I have the LV pochette Métis in the original colour. All LV bags should be leather. Especially with the money you spend

The real leather version will always be better than the canvas because these leather bags are naturally tougher than their faux leather canvas
Louis Vuitton leather in the Empreinte is my favorite and Epi is my second favorite
