  • Pachysandra is very effective at spreading itself. You do have to be careful when you plant or transplant it but if you’re looking to cover an area quickly, this is a good option.
Garden location: client’s house (video filmed by client)
My goal is to empower as many people as possible to get out there and get their hands dirty. If you’re not already, follow along with my clients and my own continuing gardening journey. I’m in zone 6 in the Boston area but almost all of the principles I talk about are applicable to any garden.🌺

I thought so too, but I think the plants are stronger than we think.
I have a bunch of pacasandrea that I need to do that with too

Great short video with lots of advice in seconds, thank you dearest! Unfortunately some people can’t wait to criticize how fast you did it.
It is fantastic those plants can be reground so quickly! 😂

Pachysandra is my favorite ground cover and I have transplanted it for decades. I was taught to trench and plant the long roots or make a bouquet of three pachysandra coil the roots and plant. I love your method - so much easier. Pachysandra can take a bit of rough handling. It’s a tough plant.

I am howling! When you match the pachysandra’s aggressiveness energy for energy 😂😂😂 Seriously, though, I’m considering this stuff to kill out some ugly weeds in my front lawn that are the only things able to grow under two large sycamore canopies. 🙄 This might do the trick, but I’m concerned about its invasiveness 😢

Good. But - what kind of ground cover is that? Surely not all ground covers you could treat like that? Or can you?

It's pachysandra. I can't speak to all of them but you can be a lot rougher than most people realize.

Must the plant get that type of forceful treatment? Such intensity can affect its energy. Just sayin'.

No, definitely not but it works out fine and I've found it takes less time than being more gentle.

Maybe her plants would spread even quicker if she didn’t brutalize them while planting. Just saying…
