Michael, you forgot frog fruit. How best to tell the difference between Pentas and Ixora when they are the same size?
Hi George! To tell the difference between Pentas and Ti ixora is to count the petals, you will count 5 petals on Pentas (derived from latin word penta meaning 5) while ti ixora has 4 petals. Also Pentas tend to flower robustly on top and ti ixoras tend to flower all over the plant- the sides and top more or less equally. Also, leaves on pentas are larger. ππͺ΄
Hi Michael, what confuses me is the fact that I counted between 4 and 6 petals for both Ixora and pentas when I was watching videos about them. I also thought that penta means five and it would be easy just counting the petals. But you mentioned also the location of the flowers which will make it easier to tell them apart. Also, regular Ixora tends to be larger than pentas, Anyhow, thanks for your reply.@@LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN
Having a hard time finding some of these.
Are there any for full shade? Looking for a ground cover for the side of my house that gets hardly any sun.
Also, is there A clover that is native to FL?
Wart fern, Native boston fern, and peperomia should do well! ππͺ΄
@@LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN Awesome! Thank you, Iβll try those!
