Evolution of Level 80 Monkey Killing You - Xenoblade series
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 9 авг 2022
- MonadoMax brings you a video dedicated to the most beloved recurring character, the level 80 gorilla that one-shots the player in the grassy plains area. The Territorial Rotbart and its offspring/siblings/lost family members(?), Hayreddin The Territorial and Jingoistic Gigantus.
This video was a lot funnier in my head LOL
#xenobladechronicles3 #xenoblade #maxmonado #monadomax
Pro tip: when you know you're about to die like that in 3, press A to start the battle, switch characters and then run away. A sacrifice to be remembered.
Nah press A, turn ouroborus then run away as ouroborus
Literally the strat I use when I’m entering areas 30 levels above mine knowing full well I shouldn’t be there.
@@ShurikanBlade cant move as fast in ouroboros cause you cant combat dash or immediately sheath
@@Kt-hp7cv Lower level maktha be like:
@@luigichu19 yes but you can't die as ouroborus. Meanwhile there's still a risk of death in the other methods.
There’s a reason you never see the final bosses show up in the starting area, cause that’s Rotbart’s territory.
"Friend sound startled like 10-ton gorilla with fancy name appear from nowhere and start playing electric guitar," -Nopon Archsage
I hope one of the challenge battles coming in the dlc is "Return of the Rotbart" and it's just 3 Territorial Rotbarts
Monolith Soft please give this to us
I sing up for this
We had a challenge to fight all the nopon so this would be nice
Considering a couple of the meme fights they put in 2's challenge mode, I wouldn't be surprised to see this, lmao.
I hope they fuse into one perfect Rotbart ouroboros.
Love how there are so many high level enemys in the game but this specific monkey became the meme of the community. Monkey see, monkey kill
Guess because he's one of the first and because he keeps coming back lol
Plus, literally in one of the first areas *every damn time.*
I think it's better it's always the first throw your ass into oblivion
Its because its been specifically a monkey in the first major area every time. And always around level 80.
I recall Immovable Gonzalez, another ape creature, returning in all of them as well. But he's always sleeping and blocking a treasure of some sort
Rotbart is just the most "This is a Xenoblade game" moment ever
Welcome to the very first true big open area of the game, but be careful because some monsters could take down God if given the chance
If Zanza had just chosen Rotbart as his vessel, he’d never have lost.
No matter the Xenoblade game, you can always expect a level 80 giant monkey to one-shot you
81*
Territorial Rotbartt was off at a family reunion during the events of 3 so he called his old college buddy to fill in his place
This is some insane Xenoblade lore
in the expansion you find a baby rotbart so i guess the reason he didnt show up in 3 was becuase matthew killed him already lol
If anyone is responsible for rotbart’s name change in 3 (or as I like to call him, territorial notbart), I would say it’s taion
I personally call him Robert since Rotbart is close to Robert and other unique monsters have normal names like Gonzales for example.
This is why hes only the 4th best mate
His name was not changed
@@BladeDevil immovable Gonzales’s name wasn’t. Territorial rotbart was changed to jingoistic gigantus or some shit like that
Taion: You keep saying Armus this and Armus that, but actually, the proper term would be "Armuidae".
Eunie: 🤓
I love how Monkeys are more powerful than Gods in the Xenoblade universe.
monkeys ARE Gods in Xeno universe
We all know who the real final bosses of these games are...
Egil: this is the most powerful mechon ever built (level 75)
Ancient Daedala: you were saying? (level 105 with the 2nd biggest attack range in the game)
@@Zuldane they have a little bit of son wukong energy in them
Who would win:
The god of the Monado, a mech with the power to destroy the world controlled by one of the strongest blades in existence, and the master of an eternal world with the power to force two armies to needlessly fight against their will, all at level 70+
or
3 level 80 monkes
Following Gray's footprints being the method of getting Rotbarted in 3 is accurate.
Oh cool so it wasn't just me then hahaha
Yeah I was just following those footprints and next thing I know I got rockbarted
He knew what he was doing
@@Bylethisop Same here.
Xenoblade 3’s biggest sin is changing Rotbarts name
Xenoblade X looks away awkwardly and hopes no one notices it did the same lol
@@MaxMonado Tbf it’s a different design in X
@@MaxMonado At least it’s still territorial
@@flameheadshero And also still Redbeard. Rotbart and Hayreddin were both names for a guy also known as Redbeard.
@@MaxMonado i for one can forgive X because I never played it, 2 didn't know it had an alien version of My man the Rotbart but with 4 arms and a long tail for AOE damage, 3 X isn't even related in the lore aspect of the Xenoblade Chronicles Franchise. What I won't forgive is that the nerfed and straight up removed my man and replaced him with a lv.80 NOBODY that Not only walks back and forward like a Mario Goomba across a river but doesn't even share a region with My Second Man Immovable Gonzalez who by the way got nerfed by 2 levels, 2 GODAMN, MOTHER FLOOGING LEVELS!!! AND IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN THE LOW MAKTHA WILDWOOD. I Killed every Superboss pre lv.80 except the lv.120 one who i will not name and I haven't even beaten the game yet! How has it been so easy to find ONE Monke over the years but in 2022 now it's impossible?
Bro the names of enemies in this game are honestly hilarious sometimes. Love strolling through an area and seeing a 100ft tall Monkey named Gargantuan Tony or something, Hornbow Dante and Sycophantic Lillith in X3 are a couple examples lol
One of the unique monsters in X is called 'Delton the dentally challenged' LOL
@@MaxMonado That is awesome lol. You just reminded me I need to buy X off the Wii U eshop because it shuts down at the end of the month ty
"You will know our names"
The most vile and reviled creature ever to be touched by The Conduit- *Big Tim*
Never forget Flabbergasted Jerome
Man, it's wild how even X kept the "Territorial" part of the name while XC3 completely changed it
Definitely a weird change
XCX's name was also a reference! The ottoman admiral Khayr al-Din (or Hayreddin) was nicknamed "Barbarossa" in Italian, which translates to "Red Beard" in English or "Rotbart" in German.
Those apes are just there to show you a thing or three about how enemy encounters work in Xenoblade.
I like their attitude!
But Lanz is looking for something a bit meatier
Encounters don’t matter when it’s Reyn time
In Xenoblade 2, it be like “NO ONE LEAVES GORMOTT!”
XC1: why do I hear boss music?
XCX to 3: ah shit, here we go again.
Hearing Uncontrollable brings so much nostalgia. X truly is the best in the series exploration wise (and dare I say, music wise). X2 when?
X is the best one in general tbh. Only thing I like more about the others is the story.
My favorite Rotbart is 2's. Because of how he just zooms across the plains and demolishes you.
They should've made him lvl 160 in XC3 because it's the fusion of 1 and 2
Well you can refight the unique enemies at higher difficulties, the level 120 superboss goes to level 200 at max difficulty and it's goddamn insane.
@@Laenthor I'm sorry
They
*WHAT*
@@Laenthor i beg you pardon ?
*162
it would be so funny if so
“Why is there a level eighty guy in the baby starting area?”
-Videogamedunkey
That's only the first of many brushes with death in this series, in Xenoblade 2, on the way to the area to rotbart's patrol area there's a level 75 articuno looking birds drinking at a pond, if you go past his path, there are level 90 dinosaurs and spiders. X had level 100 diplodicus looking dinosaurs that aggroed on sight near most ponds and early missions to fight an electric flying shark early on, and also a mission to get a magguffin near level 40 pack of wolves when you're level 15.
I need a bigger gun
this is their world we’re just living in it
@@brickwallace99 Literally, in X's case 😂
First Vangarre in xc1 who was supposed to be the Vandham of the game and now my boy Rotbart gets a full name change and drops a level.
The greatest thing about xc3 is the fact you have 5 meat shields instead of 2 or 3 for planning a dating escape. Assuming one of the tanks sinks aggro at the start of course.
0:07 How has no one mentioned that Ponio just sliding in yet
Yeah he got pushed along by Rotbart LOL
So territorial he punts a horse JUST to kill you.
Other games: Here's blank back!
Community: Ugh! How original
Monolith: Oh yeah we add the big monkey back
Community: MONKE!!!!!!!
For real though you have no idea how hard I was popping off to see the face of a massive fucking monke creep in right at the end of the intro cinematic for Millick Meadows. They know we love this fuckin guy.
To be fair, it can't be a proper xenoblade game without a big monke. Pretty much a staple at this point, and I am all for it
@@l4w1i3t XB community: mm monke
Hayreddin the jingoistic rotbart
Territorial Gigantus the Territorial
This is exactly what I needed in my life.
Crazy how XCX looks and animates better than 3 games on a stronger console. Idk what they was on when they made XCX but I need them to get back on that level. XCX really pushed the limits of world design I don’t think any other rpg has even come close to.
The Switch isn't really more powerful, it just has more modern chips that allow for more advanced visual effects, such as the cloud sea in 2. In terms of more basic graphics rendering - polygons and textures - the Wii U is actually equal or more powerful in some areas.
Man XCX looked so good I was shocked when it came out on the WiiU. 3 definitely looks good, but something about X stands out tremendously
I like how there are enough Xenoblade games now to make a thumbnail like this
Here’s hoping ol Rotbart strikes a deal with the archsage to have a challenge battle
Thank you so much for making this. This is an incredibly important video.
SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRE XENOBLADE SERIES
Klaus for some reason: Haha monke go brr
'Ah yes, my most glorious creation'
I remember killing the big monke for the first time in 2 (2 was my first xeno game) at level 70 and it felt pretty damn rewarding
I love all equally but so far nothing beats X's soundtrack, that tyrant battle theme is so damn good.
Yea, X is the only one I go back and play from time to time. Just too good
It's become like a right of passage in these games.
These level 80 monkeys are out for revenge because someone took their banana and they don't know who took it.
The Xenoblade lore really is deeper then you would think...
They are just Donkey Kong's cousins who got very lost when trying to help him
XC trilogy's music is good and all, but man I want more of X's games. I already miss Sawano's tracks in XCX the moment Uncontrollable plays.
Hopefully after they finish up the dlc in 3 they can start focusing on the future of X
Sawano music is probably the best in the industry. X having that insane exploration level while god tier OST's play is something to behold
Gotta love how Those Who Stand Against Our Path starts... It sounds like an alarm blaring, screaming "danger! danger!" whilst you run away from whatever overpowered monster spotted you. It's sounds so panicky for the first 30 seconds... And then becomes an epic rock song to accompany your fight since you actually managed to live that long.
Basically, it fits both the early-game panic of being spotted by Rotbart... And the eventual beatdown you give him later.
Monolith Soft, king of putting bosses harder than final boss at the very first region
And they have all killed me when roaming the fields on the first playthrough
That just means you are a true Xenoblade player
Monkeys like to do a bit of trolling every now and then
all in good (?) fun
Xenoblade Chronicles X :
G O O D
The "Good" on the second one had me dying 😂😂😂
finally, this content in its enjoyable form
With this video I confirm that the best looking in the series is X, even the appe animation is awesome.
That ape looks damn near real in that clip 😂
I haven't heard Uncontrollable in a while 🥰
Gotta love that X music
So beautiful that Nintendo can not release to a wider audience from creating a perfect world
@@JustJulyo I still have my WiiU copy, but I'd assume that porting to Switch isn't possible because X uses the handheld screen for some functions.
This is why people should put respect back to the name Harambe
NOOOOOO🥶
@@JaackMilk yeah ya
I miss Xenoblade X and hearing Uncontrollable
Imagine having 0 knowledge of Xenoblade and reading the title of this vid
“Evolution of Level 80 Monkey Killing You”
Okay, that earned you a sub
Monki

Mad props to the guy playing XenoblaDE being targeted by Rotbart and just running straight for him
XCD is my first game (I'm still playing it) and I remember that the first time I fought the ape I stood no chance. Oh wait! That's wrong. I still stand no chance :(
Edit: The day has arrived! With my party finally above level 80, the monkey was defeated!
One day you will be able to defeat him, I believe in you :)
You have partaken in a great and noble tradition.
Evolution of immovable Gonzalez when
The gogols in Xenoblade 1 were so goofy looking lmao
Immovable Gonzales, Territorial Rotbart, and Jingoistic Gigantus in a nutshell
1:00 It didn't even touch them, but the air he moved was so strong they died
The real power of the monkado
Territorial Rotbart must be the descendant of Sun Wukong
*sees him using Wild Wave*
You know what you might be onto something...
Goated thumbnail
Thanks it took way too long to make lmao
Ah yes this is a key tradition , glad 3 has it too
Gotta include the new Bombastic Rotbart Jr in Future Redeemed.
He's only level 10 though. Still knows Wild Wave
Who's bright idea was it to stick what is basically King Kong into the first quarter of the game?
Monke
Monke
Go back
Territorial Rodbart: FART CLOUD
He's all out of beans.
Bring back Xenoblade X on Switch, please.
I remember this happening to me in Xenoblade 2 while exploring as well
10/10 title op
Reject humanity, return to monke
i think the reason why the big monkey's name is different in xc3 is because it's both worlds combined version. like the dude is like double the size of the og.
Man the lore really runs deep in the Xenoblade games
Man I love all Xenoblade games but XCX ist just untouchable, too bad it didn't sell well comparatively with the Wii U being largely unknown and reviewers whining that they couldn't progress the Story fast enough because of map exploration and a few side quest being a requirement.
Yea, I knew X was a special game when it came out. For a game to be that massive and look that good on the WiiU, I thought Monolithsoft was the greatest game company in the world lol.
Our red mascot!
I haven't played X but among the main three gamse only 2's was ever absolutely awful to me. I surprisingly don't think in 1DE I was ever randomly caught by Rottbart and in 3 he was always visible and easy to avoid. In 2 he specifically walked in a path I was frequently on and on top of that he'd also spawn attack me after killing me. Of the 3 of them 2's felt absolutely cathartic to murder
Why does X look so much better than even the games that came after
Wii U had a better GPU.
Ah yes, the misfortune I've proudly evaded and would look forward to playing 1 & 2 just to see me do it again.
Immovable Gonzales Best Grill
not a xenoblade game without the funny monke at the beggining.
You forgot the 3DS version. As someone who forgot about the monkey and got killed, I can confirm it’s the same.
I didn't 'forget' anything I just don't have a 3ds capture card lol
@@MaxMonado oh. Okay then.
Starting Xenoblade 3 as co.pletely new to the series and oblivious to the meme I sawthis thing, approached, realized it was fightable, saw its level, and noped it as quick as I could out of there... too late.
Jesus fuck X looks so fucking good
Art
Weird that the english localisation for 3 changed its name. In french it didn't.
It's the same in French? Interesting
thanks my bro
Hayreddin killing you
The QTE: *G O O D*
Not this game. I came back to beat him when I was properly leveled up and beat him first try. I did notice one thing about this monkey, he does a kamaehamaehah or Hodukun attack.
i remember almost getting killed like that in xc3 bu i switched to mio and make the enemy lock on me so i had time to run away
It's a great strategy if an enemy jumpscared you
0:28 Pure nostalgia
No love for immovable gonzalez
He can't keep getting away with this. . .
I'm most impressed by the load time in XC3.
Me as well! I noticed it too when making this video!
Monolith sure know what they're doing and crazy enough, they have really good working conditions too.
XC4 Dominering Ceasar
so its tradition.
Genuine reactions to Rotbart:
Territorial Rotbart (XC1): "OH GOD, OH FUCK."
Hayreddin, the Territorial: "Oh okay, that's a cool reference!"
Territorial Rotbart (XC2): "OH MY FUCKING GOD. HE'S BACK."
Territorial Rotbart (DE): "THE RETURN OF THE ORIGINAL KING. 👑"
Jingoistic Gigantus: "Literally who the fuck are you? Rotbart imposter lookin' ass."
Wonder if Rico was the original level 80 territorial monkey.
Maybe Gigantus' extra level was swallowed by an anihilation event...?
Nah what happened is he's the runt of the litter of Rotbarts so when they meet up for a family reunion he's scared due to how the others combined are always gonna be stronger and he thinks to himself "What if I'd only been more terretorial?"
this video is funny as hell
If "Rotbart" is basically "Red Beard", then I wonder if "Heyreddin" is kinda the same, just through a different translation. It'd make sense that the U.S. would want to interpret "red beard" differently.
I neber did beat Rotbart on X...needed some hard to find parts for the Ares 90 skell and stopped playing after 250 hours.
Never played it cause I never owned a Wii u. But is it just more or is xenoblade x the best looking game graphically out of all these games?
Xenoblades series own version of the Rajang from Monster Hunter.
