Cheeky Synopsis:
The sci-fi/horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonisers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.

Watched Alien a million times in Armadale WA, when I was a kid in '81, just got our first VHS machine and Alien was the only movie we had for a long time.
Loved it though and looking forward to this.

Nope. Alien was better cause you didn’t know what was going on. Think on the first time you saw it. We didn’t even know dude was a robot til it went n gagged Ripley out with a rolled up magazine. Bots don’t even know how to kill someone. Duh.
Agree original is best, I think the second movie gets waaay to much praise, when in reality it's super cheesy and over the top, especially when it comes to the Marine characters. Also up until Ripley searches for Newt, there's zero atmospheric horror, it's just shallow action with cringe dialogue.

@@Odin_Bladeworkshot damn, thats a fair amount. Side note, how the hell did they get 2 m4 rifles from a gun locker? Their shuttle may have them, but i know for a fact the original ship from alien, never had military fire arms. Hence why they made use of the flamethrower. Also shooting holes inside the ship is dumb.

Ridley’s daughter Amanda survived. She lived to 66, was never able to have children and died of cancer. She was attacked by one when she went out looking for whatever sign that she could find out about her mother on Sevastopol station 15 years after her disappearance.

Alien Isolation is game where you play as Ridley’s daughter between the events of Alien & Aliens. You’re stuck on an old space station and basically are forced to sneak around as to not draw the attention of the Alien, as you try to find information about what happened to your mother’s ship and figure out how to leave the station. The Alien is unbeatable and uses a three tiered search AI, and that’s all I’m going to say about that.
But it’s canon as far as I know, at least as far canon as you would expect a game to be.
Nice that the life support is still working and set at a comfortable level. So liquid water. This boarding party could have used a few robots.

Apropos Alien living inside you: So what if... A facehugger gets to Wolverine? The Alien wouldnt be able to break free due to Adamantium-ribs, right? Would Alien just live inside him? But the Alien would grow cause it can eat parts of Wolverine that grow back pretty quick. And the Alien might inherit that healing power...
They should have taken one look and said: Yeah, Nah, Yeah, let's nuke if from orbit first?
ngl, this looks like it might actually be good. i hated the last few movies, so it'll be nice to have a new entry in the alien franchise that isn't.... whatever the Prometheus series was.

Well, ozzyman, you did it! Managed to go from ads between videos to ads in videos to straight up the video just being an ad. Reminds me of that South Park episode when ads take over everything, and only Jimmy can reconize an ad from reality. Am i jimmy right now?

If they finally get it right I will be so grateful. Campy slasher/suspense not another cerebral snooze fest. People gave resurrection so much crap but that movie was fun and did exactly what it set out to do.

The problem with these movies is they’re basically all the same
They literally are paying homage to the original in this one. But I agree. I had the same issue with Jurassic World, especially the last one. All fan service no original thought. Also they gave away a lot of the movie in this trailer it looks like lol
And why do young people today (in movies) all look like they are 16 and not a clue?? So this is a sci-fi joy ride movie where they took their parents space ship without asking??

@@blaircox1589well, they're all early to mid 20s, so I guess the answer to your question would be 'you're old'. Right there with you on that one though! 🤷 As for the"cheaply made sets", are you watching the same trailer?? They've clearly gone to massive lengths to capture the look and feel of the original 2 movies, and from what I can see have done a fantastic job! And if you think Hollywood is dead you're not watching enough movies, there's a constant stream of great original stuff coming out, as well as the sequels, reimaginings and new adaptations of source materials, and they've always happened, it's nothing new.
This is certainly a unique choice for an original trailer from 20th Century Fox, but I prefer it to a creepy version of a popular song + jump scares. Loved this original unedited trailer for the movie Alien Romulus.
Looking forward to Aliens too. Bring 'em on.

Yeah, nah. Apart from the first two, the Alien franchise has been pretty mediocre. But then again this does look pretty good. I just hope like fuck that the crew members aren't completely moronic!
the alien species wouldn't survive without idiot hosts, most times the crews are like space janitors, sticking their faces where it doesn't belong, not exercising a tiny bit of caution, or even wearing some sort of protective gear. Don't get me started on Alien Covenant, show up to a new planet, no respirators or even eye protections, flicking cigarettes butts everywhere

For those keeping track, there are--debateably--nine extant Aliens movies, of which two are any good, the most recent of which was made in 1983.

@@jeremy____5747 Yeah a huge problem with Prometheus, is how it uses making bad decisions as a plot device, which doesn't make sense when it's grown adults and accomplished scientists. At least with this new movie which mostly has kids/young adults, any poor choice that may be made, feels a bit more justified. Also I saw that this isn't a continuation of Prometheus and Covenant, which makes me relieved and cautiously optimistic about this movie.
@@TothanCrawk To me it just seems like Aliens only has a few things to work with. They have dark corridors, fearful humans running and aliens. They have had nine films to show there was more to it than that and...they failed. There just isn't anything left to explore.
