Another round of boffer fencing. We both initially had the task to focus on the riposte. However, we soon realised the other's intention and switched tactics.

Are these boffers safe to thrust with? Training with very little gear is quite nice, since it lowers the bar for beginners to get into sparring.

They are safer than the equivalent longswords but not 100%.
They do have some sort of stiff inner layer. I don't think it's a problem with just a t-shirt on but a really powerful thrust might hurt. Cutting isn't a problem at all, though.

Thank you! Lots of places in the EU these days. SPES, Black Armoury, Faitsdarmes, Blackfencer, Regenyei, PBT, regular sports places for shoes, the list goes on and on. No idea about other markets, though.
