Was so happy to find such an informative video on this subject. Many times the demonstrator seems to "gloss" over this aspect and as a newbie, I was getting lost. Thanks so much, gwen

@MegDowningStudio Hammering will help to work harden the metal which will make it more structurally sound. It also makes it flatter so that it is easier to glue on. It is not absolutely necessary that you hammer it though, I do prefer it for this project for the above reasons. Good luck!

The bail I made in the video was just crafted out of wire and does not have a specific name. However, one of the most common glue-on bails is that produced by AANRAKU. There's a link for Aanraku Bails in the video description underneath this video.

How do you attach it to a chain or other necklace?

Great video! How many minutes does E6000 take to dry? Thanks!

mordoquiojunelle This cement does NOT dry instantly -- you have at least 5 minutes to make adjustments before the glue starts to set. For maximum strength bond, allow 24-72 hours for complete curing.

if you do use E6000 i would make sure your out side or do it as close to a window as you can possiable be as it smells bad and the vapors should not be breathed in. i used it out on my porch and then left the item out there all day , i brought it in before dark and put it up way high where my cats could not get to it-just in case.
