I cant believe how long ago this video was made but affter watching several previous to this I don't need any more. Your instructions were concise and welll demonstrated. Thank You 😊
I am new to the jewelry making world, and you make it look so easy! According to the comments, I figure if they can do it, so can I! I look forward to purchasing my first pair of these pliers, and start my journey! Keep the videos coming!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have had these pliers for some time but didn’t know how to use them. This will make my loop making so much easier! I have avoided projects with too many loops because I could never get them right, you have saved my desire to make jewelry!
Thank you for all the great wubber tools that your company has created and I will be looking forward to any more that may come in the future. Your loyal customer, Linda D.
That is wonderful to hear! That is exactly what inspired me design these pliers--the frustration that can come with making wire wrapped loops! It isn't as easy as it seems, is it? Ha-ha! I truly hope you enjoy your Looping Pliers, be sure to visit www.wubbersu.com for more jewelry making tutorials. Best regards, Patti, Owner and Designer of Wubbers Tools
Thank you so much on this tutorial on how to use the tools, so valuable. I've been doing it the old way with just round nose pliers. It is so time consuming and takes so much concentration. In the end I have not much accomplished. I'm definitely getting this tool. Have a great day.
searched for 2 days to find demo on wire wrapped pliers, watched them all..yours is the best. easy to understand, easy to see..great explanation of each move. thank you so much! PS. love the nail polish color too. :)
I would like to say that this is by far the best instructions on how to make wire wrapped loops. Thank you. I bought two sizes of Wubbers pliers. I am pressed to get a necklace done for a wedding, and now I am feeling good about attempting my project without stress.
My new pliers just arrived, and they’re great. Some getting used to but, I can see how much easier they are on my wrists and it’s going to save a lot of time! 🙏
I treated myself to a pair of wire loopers. About to buy these looping pliers. I am to sold on these Wubbers because of the handles that love my hand. So ergonomic. And, because I'm left-handed, making a loop is a chore for me. The most basic technique of jewelry making is difficult for me to achieve symmetrical loops. And I want to wrap them all😂. So, I wanted to add, to lefties, and those of us who need that handle that loves that not so wonderful hand, Wubbers understands your needs.
I wish there were no custom fees ... no 'country borders'... no income taxes.... and then I would buy ALL of Wubbers jewelry tools available. I LOVE Wubbers and I love your tutorials and videos. Kind regards, from Europe, Belgium.
I just bought a pair of these. I am having problems with my hands and saw this figured I would try them. What a difference. I can turn out many pieces a night now. Thank you for coming up with a perfect tool. 👾
Wubbers brand pliers are sheer genius. Thank you for designing them. I absolutely love them, and plan to use nothing else in the future. So far I have purchased the6-1 bail making pliers and I coudn't be happier with ithem The Wubbers truly make other pliers obsolete. I work mainly with low gauge half-hard wire. Wubbers pliers are so sturdy and well-made that they handle even 10- gauge wire without bending. I also use my bail-making pliers to form large loops because I find the standard tapered pliers both too small and too weak to withstand half-hard wire without bending. Wubbers also really does allow you to make consistent loops without measuring, and since I prefer to make my own chain, that is an important time-saving component to to my jewelry making. Wubbers are not a gimmick like a lot of other supposedly "time-saving" contraptions that are sold online. They are truly well-made, and worth every penny. I rarely use my other pliers since I purchased the bail making pliers. They have made my other tools virtually obsolete, which is great because now I don't need a million different pliers to get things done. Wubbers also work great at holding loops in place while you are wrapping them. They are nice and sturdy and will hold your loop in place without resorting to needle-nose pliers. Great product. Fantastic concept. Once you try Wubbers, you will never again go back to standard brands. I was buying pliers at the hardware store because standard jewelry pliers are built to handle dead soft wore, but Wubbers are sturdy enough to get the job done.
Shelby, this is Patti Bullard, the owner and designer of Wubbers. Thank you so much for your review of Wubbers! My goal from the beginning has been to make jewelry making fun and easy and to create tools that improve the quality of the finished product. That way, creativity can occur--we are not spending our energy fighting our tools and destroying our metal, but rather we can focus on creating. Please let us know if we can ever be of service--you can contact us through www.wubbersu.com. Happy New Year--have a wonderful 2018!!!
Patti Bullard Thanks so much for your response! I just ordered he Wubbers bail making pliers in small, medium and large, the round mandrels in extra large and jumbo, the looping pliers in all the sizes, and the jumbo cone-shaped mandrel, which is great because I love to make bead cones. I can't wait to start working with them. Thanks again for your brilliant products. They really do as you say take the tedium out of the jewelry making process for those of us who prefer to make our own personalized components.
Patti, I am so happy to see there is an easier way to make loops. I can always get the first loop to look perfect, but the next loop(s) seems to always be less round, and slightly larger than the first loop made. It is so frustrating! I will be purchasing Wubbers Looping Pliers. Thank you so much for the tutorial, and for showing me how to have a more professional look to my creations.
Thank you for your comment, Terri. That is exactly why I designed these pliers--I was frustrated that I couldn't get consistent results with traditional methods. I hope the Wubbers Looping Pliers give you hours of enjoyment, and lots of beautiful jewelry! Best regards, Patti, Owner and Designer of Wubbers Tools
Thanks for the video. I'm not a jewelry maker but a electronics-electrical hobbyist. I noticed that the wire cutters you are using don't seem to retain the cut piece of wire in its jaws after the cut, the cut end usually flies across the room. There are wire cutters that will do that, Xuron makes them. I own and use the "Xuron 170-IIF Shear with Lead Retainer", "Lead Retainer" being the keyword, and they work great, no more wire pieces flying everywhere. I found a demo video of those wire cutters here on RUclips, it's titled "Wire Retaining Clip Demonstration.MOV"
Hi Patti, Thank you so much for making this clearly explained video, you make it look very easy to do. I am heading off to see if and. where I can find the Wubber’s tools here in France. I have subscribed to your channel and hope you have other videos to watch and will be checking them out for sure. I. look forward to watching some more of your great videos. Warmest best wishes from France. Susanne
Hi Patti, I purchased the small looping pliers and I loved them so much I bought another small for my mom and the large for myself. I am currently in the process of purchasing all your pliers since I find them so easy to work with and so unique. Can you tell where I can find a set of mandrels like you have on the set of this video? Thank you, Julie
Hi Julie, Thank you for taking the time to comment! I am so glad that you love the Wubbers Looping Pliers. The mandrels that you see in the background came from RioGrande about 10 years ago. They were a Ray Grossman product, and unfortunately, I don't know of anyone who carries those exact sets anymore. I bought them to go along with the high production version of his tool for making jump rings. I have one set that is sized in inches and the other set is metric. I hope that you can find what you are looking for! Sorry I wasn't much help!
Hi Patti, Great video. When wire wrapping the beads how do you attach the next wire wrapped loop on the previous bead without getting a blip in the loop from the wire of the previous bead? Do I need a different wubbers tool?
I finally ordered these today when I began wasting silver wire with round nose pliers that didn't produce the consistent wire wrap loops I want for my work.
Could these pliers be used (and effective) on half hard and full hard 20AWG or 22AWG (or thinner) steel wire? I am not making jewelry and looking for a tool for scratch building HO model railroad bridges....and other model railroad uses as well. I also looking for a tool for making clean right angle 90 degree bends in small gauge full hard wire if you have any suggestions. Thanks for doing the video. Philip
On the regular pliers what the mm of the center of the loop? I read that the loop is 2.2 mm but I don't know where that is measured from? Is that like a jump ring measured from the outside so the outside is 2.2 mm on a 20 gauge wire?
I love my pliers but I wanted them for memory wire loops at the end's of my project, but in none of the video's do they demonstrate using the pliers for memory wire. could someone please clarify if they can be used for end loop's. so far I may not be strong enough. tks Nicky
Wonderful video! Could you please tell me if you are using the Wubbers classic series chain nose pliers, or the Baby Wubbers chain nose pliers? Thanks.
Hi Dianna, thank you so much for asking. In the video I am using the Wubbers Classic Chain Nose Pliers. Please let me know if you have any other questions, I am happy to help. Best regards, Patti, Owner and Designer of Wubbers Tools
Hello Lori! You can buy the tool rack with the drawer from ijsmiami.com/product/wood-plier-rack-w-drawer/ You can also find it through Amazon. I hope this helps!
Looks nice and easy!! One question - how can I add a chain to the loop and still have it be tight. Do I leave it partly open and then use round-nose or needle-nose pliers to close?
Aida Diaz , there are a number of online stores that carry them. You might try www.micro-tools.com as they carry the full line of Wubbers. Thanks so much for asking!
Thank you Eileen! The bracelet Patti is wearing on her wrist is the Elegant S-link Bracelet. The tutorial can be found at the following link: www.wubbersu.com/moodle/course/view.php?id=16 The bracelet that appears around the six minute mark of the video does not have a tutorial. The links on it can be made using the oval shaped mandrel pliers. There is a geometric links bracelet tutorial that is similar in concept: www.wubbersu.com/moodle/course/view.php?id=620#section-0
I finally learned how to use this tool after having it for about 10 years. It really does make beautiful wire wrapping for my beads. Thank you.

Great demonstration! I'm having a time learning how to make the loop, and you made it look so simple. I'm going to continue trying. Thank you ma'am!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have had these pliers for some time but didn’t know how to use them. This will make my loop making so much easier! I have avoided projects with too many loops because I could never get them right, you have saved my desire to make jewelry!

Thank goodness for Wubbers!
Your instructions were excellent. Could please do a video on making ear wires?
Hi Jacqui, We have a tutorial on RUclips for ear wires here: ruclips.net/video/Ryncwh8_ZAE/видео.html#action=share

Do they work with other gauge wires?
