@hannekebb Thanks for your comment. If you have trouble with the jump rings, a good alternative is glue-on bails - I use these too with E6000 to attach them to the domino. Hugs, Rach
@mrsnetrix I used regular dominoes that are used for playing with. I use the Klear because it makes the tissue paper transparent - more so than when using an adhesice like mod podge. It also leaves a slight gloss finish, but as you can see, I use glossy accents to achieve a high gloss finish on my pieces.
I love all three of your dominoes. You used some really fun techniques. As always, I enjoyed watching the entire process of you making them. Thanks for showing us. JIL
@zoetic26 You can stamp directly onto the domino, but if you want to share a very exact part of an image on a tiny surface, it is easily to stamp onto tissue paper and line up the image where you want it.
Those are so pretty! The image transfer technique was fabulous and I do not think I have seen it done before. I am going to have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing your creativity...such fun to watch!
The ink will stay on if it is a permanent ink such as Archival or StazOn. You can also seal your dominoes with any craft glaze, glossy accents or resin.
@AliDantre Hi, I've never tried the soft gel gloss for transfers, but there's no reason why it wouldn't work. The finish won't be glossy though because the medium is underneath the paper. The properties are the same as the matt, so it should work no problem.
Glossy acccents is dimensional, but not domed, for a dome effect you need a dome resin. You can stamp directly onto the domino, but they have a very slick surface, so sometimes images can distort, and sometimes because you are stamping onto such a small surface, you don't get the image exactly where you want it. This is the reason I use tissue paper.
@iimandy Dominoes are made of a hard acrylic, they won't crack when drilling them, at least I've never had one crack - and I've drilled a lot of them! Have fun:-)
@melodyok1 Hi, The Jump rings for these dominoes were 10mm because they are quite thick. The beads were various sizes - sorry I didn't take note of exactly which sizes I used - probably between 4-6mm. The spacer beads were 3mm however.
Yes, the glossy accents dries hard, though not as hard as resin, which is now my preference/ However, resin can be a little messy, and takes a long time to dry, so you need patience with it. Glossy accents dries within a couple of hours to a finish hard enough for items that won't get bashed about too much. The dragonfly stamps are by PaperArtsy..
Absolutely Gorgeous!! And you made them SO fast!! LOL You're a very talented lady, thanks so much for sharing your wonderful gifts! Warm thoughts, Karen
If you use the floor wax I show in the video with tissue paper, not only do you get a very crisp, transparent image, but you will find the you can tear the tissue right on the edges of the domino, so no bulky sides / corners. Hope that helps.
Hi I've just discovered you video's and I must say they are fabulous. I love metal art and have had a go with metal tape in the past. The dominoes are very creative as well & I like the fact that you have shared where you have sourced your materials in the UK. Keep them coming. Thanks Edwina
My dear little girl!!! you are awesome!! You always show things with such glee and are so inspiring. Tell Hubby hi too. Really love watching your videos. I learn every time I watch.
If you mean to transfer the images, I'm not sure as I've never tried using mod Podge for it. you can always experiment, & if it doesn't work, just scrape it off and re use your domino for a different technique :-)
A friend at work did these ones, but I've done them myself with a dremel and very small drill bit. Dominoes are only plastic so it's relatively easy to do :-)
I've never tried Mod Podge as I don't get on with it's level of stickiness, though you could have a go and see what happens. I've only ever used gel medium for transfers so I can't help much really.
These are fantastic! I have a lot of dominos.....in fact, I just bought an itty bitty set last week...they're adorable. Now I'm going to have to start drilling some holes. Or my hubby will do it for me, since I'm kind of accident prone...lol! Keep the vids coming...I LOVE them! TFS, Heather
I usually buy my gel medium online, if you are in teh UK try Fred Aldous or Jacksons. My printer is just a regular ink jet, though results will vary depending on ink manufacturers & printer type. My printer is by Canon one and the ink seems fairly good in holding up to wet mediums, though you do still need to be careful.
Yet another amazing project Rachel, now I have to go to Tesco and get some Domino's :O) Your work so inspires me cannot wait for Saturday on Ustream to see what project you do for that. Thank you for sharing your time and your art Rachel. Hugs n best wishes Tracyx
Hi, really nice video! I was wondering with the first example, why you stamp onto tissue paper instead of directly onto the inked domino? Also, how long do the inks need to dry before adding anything on to them? Thanks!
Tissue paper is the kind that gifts sometimes get wrapped in - very thin, almost like tracing paper and translucent. It is not the same as napkin paper. Hope that helps :-)
I absolutely love your Steampunk crafts, they always come out looking really cool :). I was wondering, when you are making a craft, do you know pretty much exactly how you want it to look when it's done, or is it more of a design as you go type of thing?
AWESOME works of art! I've just recently discovered you and am loving your videos! Question: are your tiny text boxes from stamps or just things you've typed and printed yourself from your computer? Thanks and I look forward to watching many more!
@hannekebb Thanks for your comment. If you have trouble with the jump rings, a good alternative is glue-on bails - I use these too with E6000 to attach them to the domino. Hugs, Rach

Beautiful work on those dominoes. Love your videos, and your procedures, especially because there is no talking. Thank you much
@Dizzylizzyscreations Yes, the stamping is done onto tissue paper. My printer is a Cannon Inkjet.
I haven't done altered doms in ages. You've inspired me to do some again! Thanks for sharing!!!
@jolac46 Yes, you can use any colour medium that is permanent such as acrylics.
I love all three of your dominoes. You used some really fun techniques. As always, I enjoyed watching the entire process of you making them. Thanks for showing us. JIL
@dreller120 Yes, Glossy accents is great as an adhesive as well as adding a clear dimensional layer of gloss to projects like this one :-)
@zoetic26 You can stamp directly onto the domino, but if you want to share a very exact part of an image on a tiny surface, it is easily to stamp onto tissue paper and line up the image where you want it.
@Scrappinology The text was done on a computer. The font is called 1942 Report - you should be able to find it easy enough if you google it.
now this is how you make a DIY video less talking just put info on video and get to crafting love it. thanks for sharing
Those are so pretty! The image transfer technique was fabulous and I do not think I have seen it done before. I am going to have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing your creativity...such fun to watch!
@lmjacobs It makes the tissue paper completely ttransparent, whereas when using a glue, it remains somewhat transluscent in areas.
The ink will stay on if it is a permanent ink such as Archival or StazOn. You can also seal your dominoes with any craft glaze, glossy accents or resin.

+asw Crafting You're very welcome :-)
@zoetic26 Depending on which type of ink you use, it usually dries within 30seconds to a minute.
It depends on the thickness of the dominoes you use, but generally 8mm is ok for dominoes.
Simply beautiful! And thank you for the answers on the drilling and the using of Klear. Thanks for sharing!!!
You're an amazing artist and a joy to watch. I think I said that before, but it bears repeating! Thanks!
Absolutely Gorgeous!! And you made them SO fast!! LOL You're a very talented lady, thanks so much for sharing your wonderful gifts! Warm thoughts, Karen
You have a gift! You are SO talented!! Thank you for sharing!
@mrv567 The gloss is a product called Glossy Accents which is made by Ranger.
@vkiavian I'm not sure. I've had limited success with laser printed images which is why I use inkjet on my vid.
If you use the floor wax I show in the video with tissue paper, not only do you get a very crisp, transparent image, but you will find the you can tear the tissue right on the edges of the domino, so no bulky sides / corners. Hope that helps.
@samkenney I used a Dremel to drill the holes.

Another awesome project Rachel. Love your work.

I've never tried Mod Podge as I don't get on with it's level of stickiness, though you could have a go and see what happens. I've only ever used gel medium for transfers so I can't help much really.
My favourites are the first and the second one (maybe because I love the colours you choose), but they're perfect all three !!!
TFS
@cricutera The drill I have is similar to a Dremel, bought from a local DIY store.
All 3 are beautiful. I like number 3 the most. Thank you for the video.

I'M SO EXCITED!!! I make christmas ornaments ever year as presents for my very large family. I'm going to try and do this. LOVE IT!
@jkmaus I use regular playing dominos for altering. Try ebay, that is probably the cheapest place. :-)
This was so awesome to watch - thanks for the tut!
Thank you so much for the demo. Beautiful work, as ever!
I use a Ranger Scrubbie - the best product ever - removes anything from your hands.
Hi, really nice video! I was wondering with the first example, why you stamp onto tissue paper instead of directly onto the inked domino? Also, how long do the inks need to dry before adding anything on to them? Thanks!
I found the image on Etsy some time ago, so not sure of the seller, but if you search digital collage sheets you may find it.
You are so talented! I am hooked on your videos!
Wow, I learned so much in just those few minutes. Thank you.

I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! :)

A friend did these for me, but you can use a small drill bit, like on a Dremel - they are easy enough if you have somewhere to clamp them :-)
i love the last one! beautiful work!

I'm so impressed....so inspired. Your videos always effect me the same way. I want to be you when I grow up. LOL More AWESOMENESS from RACH!!!!!

These are great---and the music is so fun too!!! BTW, where do you get the resin? Does it come in a bottle like the glossy accent?
