Wow...so glad I came across this tutorial it is so well put together. All of the instructions are very clear visually and verbally. I can't wait to begin wire wrapping!
You are amazing. Thank you so much! I am a beginning beader, and it was so easy to see what you were doing because the person who video taped you did a great job...they were close and the images were clear. Thanks again!!!!
very elegant. I myself work with base metals (copper, brass, nickle silver), and I love the way they look. They look great for my vintage style jewelry. Thank you for posting.
Wire work is my fave, spiral is my fave technique so really pleased with this video. I like the interactive part too, thanks for sharing this video free.
HI!! THANK YOU!! I really enjoyed this instructional wire technique !! I am always looking for extra inspiration for my jewelry projects,,,and I am so grateful to RUclips for being an excellent launch pad to show them in,,for FREE!! WOW!!! Keep em coming!! I really appreciate your work!! :))
Meggan, this was a great video! Beautifully executed and awsome job! Thank you so much. Really helped me see that small stones can be worked and wire wrapped . Thank you kindly again!
I've watched some of your videos, it's awesome, and very useful and I like how you make your jewelry, they looks clean, smooth, and so beautiful, perfect, I'll always wait for your new videos
Most wire that comes in vibrant non metal colors has a color coating on it. That means that the color can come off. You can use nylon jaw pliers to prevent marking up the wire, or you could try putting masking tape on your tools to prevent marking it up. They won't grip quite as well, but it will keep your colors nice.
Increible! Que manos tienes.. El conjunto precioso! Y caya par de herramientas.. Creo que para tantas cosas no habia visto nunca jajaja muy buen trabajo! Thank's you!!!
Great video! We love handmade jewelry and a few of our Minsstyle Approved Designers make just that. It's definitely a huge trend right now going into the fall.
If you're curious about the durability, I would recommend getting some craft wire and doing some experimentation. You will have a much better understanding of the material if you actually handle it.
If you just type the length in inches into an internet search bar followed by "in millimeters" you will get the conversion. For example, if she says in the video that it's 3 inches, you can just search for "3 inches in millimeters" and the equivalent will usually pop right up. Alternately, you could search for a conversion chart.
Yes, the craft wire is quite soft, but will hold it's shape decently. If you take a pair of nylon jaw pliers and repeatedly tap them closed on the finished components, it will gently harden them somewhat, making them a little stronger. Either way, if you are using a thicker gauge of craft wire, like the 18 gauge I used here, it's going to be decently strong, and will take a bit of a knock to lose it's shape.
Unless you need the ring to be adjustable, it would help it to hold it's shape during normal wear if you did 3 or 4 wraps from each spiral to the bead loop with the 24 g wire.
Artistic wire is great, although we do carry products that are specifically made to avoid that. You can go to Beadaholique . com and search "non tarnish". You'll find a variety of Non Tarnish products to choose from.
I love this project. I'm pretty new to wire wrapped jewelry making, but even as a beginner, I found it perfectly simple, even though it looks much harder! What type of ribbon did you use, is it silk ribbon? I want to be sure to get the right type so it doesn't fray. Thank you so much for your tutorials. Keep them coming, and I'll keep my Amazon orders coming your way too!! Thanks!
actually what i do sometimes, when i really dont wanna scratch the wire with my tool i put a piece of paper towel between the wire and the tool on, i know that doesent seem realy handy but its a way.. :)
Aluminum wire is extremely soft. You shouldn't use it for rings or ear wires, because it would just bend out of shape. It would be possible to use it for the other parts of these pieces, but they will be fragile because it bends so easily.
What type of wire is this hard, half hard, dead soft? I am having trouble with wire and Im thinking ppl use soft and I am using the wrong kind lol thanks
I use craft wire in this project. Specifically, I used Artistic Wire Craft Wire, which, according to the manufacturer is dead soft. You can find a list of the supplies used in the video description.
The ribbon that was used in this project is - Silk Fabric Flat Silky Ribbon 2cm 'Amethyst Purple' 42 Inch Strand. The links for the supplies in this video are located in the video description underneath this video.
You can get the Purple Impression Jasper (Dyed) Round Gemstone Beads feature in this video on Beadaholique . com's website. The links for supplies and the project description for the The Impressionist Necklace, Earrings and Ring Set - Project S1002 - are located in the video description underneath this video.

I'm sure you could, yes. You would just need to make sure you had pegs the right size to fit around your beads properly.

Amazing, amazing, AMAZING!! tfs...
No, memory wire will keep the shape it has (usually round) and won't take the shape you want to bend it into.
This was the best
I loved it!
So beautiful!! I really like this video!!! :)
felicitaciones aunque esta en ingles se aprecia facilmente como elaborarlo...gracias

actually what i do sometimes, when i really dont wanna scratch the wire with my tool i put a piece of paper towel between the wire and the tool on, i know that doesent seem realy handy but its a way.. :)
Sorry just to make the first part! Thanks!
Hey! I really like this video. Could you please tell me is it possible to make this project with memory wire? :)
Hi,
What wire can I get that has color that doesn't leave tool markings on the wire when making rings or other jewelry.
Hi, is the wire as malleable as it looks? and if so, do they lose shape later?
where did u find all the supplies (wire, beads, tools, etc.)????
Thank you.
This is very nice! ^^

I really like that...wouldn't it be easier to wrap the bead in first? Sorry, Before wrapping the top (under the spirals) closed...
You can add the bead to the wire first if you prefer, but we found it easier to make the spirals before adding the beads. Thanks for watching!
