    I remember in my English class this guy who'd never had acne in his life was talking to his girlfriend who had minor acne and didn't wear makeup that day. HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL HER TO WASH HER FACE, BRO U DONT UNDERSTANDDDDDD

    • @aliceroared
      @aliceroared 7 лет назад +231

      A lot of people don't seem to realise just how often and vigorously people with acne wash their faces! Back when I used to have it, I would try and use the most aggressive treatments cos I felt like I had to almost sear off the acne with chemicals (didn't work, obvs). It's so frustrating to be told you don't wash your face when you 100% do and often a lot more than people with clear skin

      its ok he'll grow up to get hella acne and his girlfriends gonna leave him for someone better but before that she's gonna look back and tell him "wash your face ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)""

      Is your acne gone now, Alice?

    • @aliceroared
      @aliceroared 7 лет назад +26

      It is! It calmed down once I hit my 20s, but recently got bad again, but when I switched to Cetaphil's acne products it went away within 1-2 months. (I also use a 5% benzoyl cream on my worst areas, and use a Neutrogena pore-refining toner nightly, in case you were curious to find out what worked for me.) I'm not sure whether it's the Cetaphil products exactly, but everything I use is strictly oil-free, whereas before my cleansers and moisturisers all had some kind of oil as an ingredient.

    I have a lot of acne, like my whole face. Even when the acne is gone, the scar or black spot still remained. People who never have acne will never understand. Some of people staring at you, make me feel insecured. Some of people easily say 'wash your face', 'god i dont want my face looks like yours', 'what happend to your face', 'eeewww..'

    i wish they would've given us an update, like did the girls feel like days/weeks later their acne reduced??

    • @Rinsuki
      @Rinsuki 7 лет назад +97

      Probably not since acne is usually the body's inflammatory response caused by the system and not how many times you wash your face. Acne is usually a symptom so treating the spots and healing pimples don't get rid of cause. I would recommend checking the diet and consuming supplemental herbs or vitamins. Last resort would be chemical warfare lol.

    • @MiyukiItachi
      @MiyukiItachi 7 лет назад +75

      it will take multiple facials to see any results. acne is cause by hormones and genetics so basically taking accutane is the only way to get rid of it.

    • @v3nus1111
      @v3nus1111 7 лет назад +39

      Rinsuki actually acne is a disorder of the integumentary system. it is usually caused by increased secretion of sebum (oils), bacterial growth, or hormones. diet doesnt affect your skin or acne but just your overall health. dermabrasion and antibiotics are the ways to go for serious cases and maybe uv light but that hasnt really proven to do anything

    • @Rinsuki
      @Rinsuki 7 лет назад +10

      Tiffany R Yes but overproduction of sebum can also be due to the endocrine system like increase hormones during puberty. For women, acne tends to plague them because they have hormonal changes with pregnancy and menstruation. Washing your face isn't going to fix hormonal acne.

    • @Rinsuki
      @Rinsuki 7 лет назад +8

      Tiffany R Oh and diets does as some of the things you eat end up being secreted through your sweat. Some of these things can cause bacterial overgrowth of the natural population on your skin leading to irritating skin conditions as well as acne. Dermabrasion basically sloughs off the outer layers of the skin which helps those who's pores are becoming clog as well as those who have hyperpimentation from previous outbreaks.

    • @LeleMiaz
      @LeleMiaz 7 лет назад +6

      ***** NOOoo! Makeup does not cover acne, if you acne, makeup will hide the redness, but if you think it will make it look like it's gone, no it doesnt, you can still the the acne bumps and it looks weird, if you're wearing makeup to cover acne then stop wearing makeup, there's no point, if anything, it's making your acne worse.

    • @MissSuperMoo
      @MissSuperMoo 7 лет назад +8

      I'm not saying it will cover it completely but it does cover redness which is my main issue with my skin. I've had bad skin for a long time regardless of my wearing makeup, and its easy enough to just say stop wearing it but if its something you're self-conscious about, not so much.

    The worst part about acne for me is whenever I try to use acne cream the night before (I slather it all over because the acne is LITERALLY EVERYWHERE ugh) and then when I wake up the next morning, a lot of the acne cream is stuck in bits of dead skin and the scabs of my acne, and then I try to wash it out, but that makes like five or six of the zits start to bleed again? and then I have to leave for the bus stop in ten minutes so I try to get it to stop bleeding, but it just keeps coming, until I give up and go to school with big red scabs all over my forehead
    Does this happen to just me? Or is it just my weird skin trying to make things hard for me?

      i recommend a clay mask it's at Walmart called avocado and oatmeal it's cheap like 3-4 dollars and it has a lot of product that'll last a long time it instantly reduces redness and shrinks the pimple and hydrates leaving your skin super soft that helped me lots I use it at night before bed then let it dry then wash it off with warm water

      what kind of cream are you using that gets stuck on your skin? it should disappear the same way moisturizers do... like, sink in you know? that really sucks, i think you should try a new product.

    • @LadyNiril

      n acne spot treatments are not moisturizers. For example b.peroxide stays on the skin.

      if your skin is flaking you might not have oily skin. i used to believe i had oily skin and would use oil-free everything until a beautician told me my skin was actually dry and because i wasn't moisturizing properly it was producing excess oil that made it look like it was oily!

    I had suffered a lot from acne for at least 5 years. I spent tonnes of money on natural and chemical products and even facials which promised to clear my skin. Which either didn't work at all or would only slightly work and as soon as i stopped using the product it came back. I heard that acne was caused my an imbalance in the hormones and requested for a blood test, which a couple doctors refused to give me, and suggested I buy yet another cream which would be very expensive, irritating and ineffective. I ended up finally getting a test which showed a hormone imbalance and I had requested to go on birth control. Within a month my acne had almost entirely cleared and within two it was completely gone. I stayed on birth control for roughly 6 months when I then decided to come off it to see if my acne would come back... And it didn't! It's been roughly 6 months since I haven't taken birth control and I haven't gotten a pimple since, except for maybe one near my period. And that is all! I completely recommend it for any female acne suffers out there

    If it's hormonal acne then no matter how much you spend on facial it won't work. It will just keep on coming back. Visit your doctor and ask about your situation. It's not normal to get adolescent type of acne if you're over 20....I'm talking based on experience.

    • @susanbenso
      @susanbenso 6 лет назад +1

      Jennifer Rombaoa Even though it won’t get rid of ALL of your acne, estheticians can help manage your acne if they actually know what they are doing, and help you figure out a great skin care routine once you’ve figured out the main root of the problem with your doctor.

Anyway, during our degree senior year, my friend suddenly had bad acne, like as big as 20 cents coin! Her face was flawless at first place. I was the one who had bad acne face when we first met and I always said to her, I wish I can have your skin. Then, when she had the big acne, it totally destroy her confidence level. it was really hard for her. :(

    • @funkiebutch9690
      @funkiebutch9690 6 лет назад

      It does, if you do it few times, like once every month with consistent. I had acne problem, and I did facial. it did help alot on relax my face, but as I did it for like 3 years or so, my face became too sensitive. I'm not sure what they used the products on my face or it's the weather or the things I ate, but I stopped doing facial and my face was okay and still does. Now I just have small acnes because of my period, but after that it's all gone. But still once in a while, I do facial myself, steam the face, use the charcoal mask. It's really cheaper than spend like 50 dollars every months.

      @AmandaBear916 7 лет назад +26

      la bruja that's not technically true. The technician had cloth covering her hands. You aren't supposed to squeeze zits with uncovered fingers because of all the bacteria on your hands and under your nails. She's fine

    • @HeyLookItsKathy
      @HeyLookItsKathy 7 лет назад +16

      The esthetician was performing extractions correctly. The skin had already been prepped by cleansing, steaming, and exfoliating beforehand. And like +amandabear916 said the gauze on her fingers was used to properly wipe away anything that was extracted. They didn't show it but she most likely also used a toner in addition to the high frequency to help kill bacteria after she finished the extractions.

    I struggled with a bit of cystic acne for a while & I think the best advice I can give you is keep your skin regimen small. Don't use like 15 types of products it's probably aggravating your skin further. Charcoal masks & tea tree oils are awesome & last but not least, love yourself. Work towards loving yourself. It's easier said than done but acne-free skin wont ever be the reason why you are beautiful, it'll always be your confidence & kindness that does.

    Hi guys! I am going to share with you how to get rid of tiny pimples/ acne. All you need is organic honey. But, in like a "solid form" you could call it. I had acne/ tiny pimples all over my forehead going down my nose. I put chuncks of organic honey on the spots that had acne/ tiny pimples. After a few days/weeks it should start to get better! I know his because I've actually tried it. My acne is almost gone. Bjt, remember all skin types are different so it might take a few weeks for noticable changes. I recommend only using this method once or twice a week. Like monday and Friday, or whatever. Thanks for reading! Reply how you're doing, I will answer any question. :)

    I see most people on the comments are talking about dealing with acne. I'm 25, still dealing but not as much because I finally went to see a dermatologist. Before that, I was on the birth control pill and it helped a bit mostly it reduced my oily skin and went to dry to Normal skin. So when I went to the dermatologist it wasn't as expensive as I thought. I spent what I usually spend at ulta or Sephora to buy acne products. My dermatologist prescribed me spironolactone 50mg and with the birth control pill it worked great. But then I decided I didn't want to be on the pill anymore because I'd heard of blood clots and it scared me so I went off the pill and went back to the derm to raise my dosage. So I went on 100 mg and I'm going through the "purge period" it's been 2 weeks and it's not as bad anymore but still very minor tiny whiteheads. I hope this is the last week dealing with the purge and my skin will clear up again. I still recommend spironolactone specially combined with the birth control pill. But if not, it's working fine by itself. Just be patient you can't write it off in a couple of weeks because you're breaking out. That's normal. Also with spironolactone you won't see results right away. The derm initially told me it can take up to 3 months but I honestly saw results that same week and that 1st month I was almost clear. Anyway just thought I'd share my experience and give women some hope. For men, I'd still suggest to go to the derm it's not that expensive trust me.

    Your not going to get better skin doing this once. You dont need expensive face cares from shops. Just regularly wash and exfoliate and let time fly. Dont worry about it dont stress it just take care of it like its a routine and months/years you will have great skin without the expensive facial costs

    I love getting facials because it feels so good but it really does nothing for my acne (even when I get a facial targeted towards sensitive skin and/or acne). And extractions hurt so much for me because of how deep my acne is so I don't get them anymore. Unfortunately, facials only help acne that is oil/dirt/etc. related and not hormone related.
