      @LD-tn6ff 4 года назад +21

      Daniele Amani lol, there are no improvements. Facials are a glorified means of paying someone to wash your face. Totally gimmicky. There is no one time use, surface level/superficial treatment that can be made to the skin that would yield noticeable results after a single use/visit. Facials are beneficial and practical more for therapeutic reasons than anything. Think more along the lines of “massage” than along the lines of “treatment”. The only skincare benefit I can see from something like this in terms of improving skins appearance may be receiving at home skincare advice/suggestions from a certified esthetician. If that’s the intent though, someone may be better off scheduling an appointment with a dermatologist instead.

      @helloo there i'm a certified esthetician and i can tell you that every single skin type (even darker skin tones) NEEDS sunscreen. african americans can and do get skin cancer.
      perhaps it doesnt prevent acne, but there are many other skin issues caused by the sun. fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin (loss of elasticity/collagen), and pigmentation disorders are all caused or worsened by sun exposure. it doesnt matter if you live in alaska where its really cold, or if its cloudy/raining, the UVA/UVB are still present. only 20-30% of UVA/UVB rays are blocked by clouds.

    Love it. Even love it even more seeing dermatologists comments. I know dermatologists that hated being in internal med rotations and that was the exact word used back then. And I've heard of so many doctors who feel like pawns and were set up to fail in the regular health care system who want to leave for other industries..If I could only share with you all the upsetting comments I hear about them on a daily basis...Thank you for inspiring. Noticing the comments. Thank you for inspiring...

    Want nice facials but broke? Look into beauty schools especially one that has esthetician course. They do work under a lisenced professional and they practice on eachother before they get real clients. You can get salon treatments and products for a fraction of the price. That is where all these ladies started.

      @@JohnSmith-kl3nm I guess it's more because of New York. Because putting you under led lights doesn't really count as "training" to me. I can also buy a lamp and use it at home if it's just that. I expect them to at least use their hands for most of the session not just fancy instruments. At least that's what I want when I do facials

    It's funny how US has different prices. In Austria a good facial starts at 170-200 Euros. That's nothing special.

    • @tennessee9920
      @tennessee9920 4 года назад

      Yeah that's true but everytime I spend that much, they usually do a facial by hand (and don't use fancy machines and lights) for at least 60 min or even more. And I'm Swiss so I know what high prices are!

    I picked the last one as best as well, because of the slower more relaxing way she massaged the lady's face, it seemed more professional, and she looked the best afterwards. However I would not recommend vit c in the daytime because vit c is a mild acid, that's best used at night.

    The only one that I think gave real helpful advice was the lady who said DO NOT over cleanse your skin
    People always tell me I have such nice skin and what products I use and blah blah blah
    I’m like I don’t use any just some warm water here and there. I used to break out all the time when I’d over cleanse. Ever since I went to minimal cleansing my skin became flawless

    They all have something valid.
    But id go for the more Affordable two.
    Silver Mirror and HeyDay.
    I always thought facials were far more expensive than those are and that i could never get one but now i know i can, if i save up a bit for it.
    Those two are now on my radar.
    Silver Mirror i found on yelp but this video gives me more in depth info.
    And HeyDay is now added to my list too.
