I would watch eight straight hours of fellow actors talking about how insane Steven Seagal is. I’m sure the material is there.
Trust me, that's a road you don't want to travel, my friend.
I recommend the behind the bastards 2 part episode about him. It's amazing
@@thematman92 is that a real thing?
@@tallasianguy42 yup it's a podcast that looks into the lives of bad people. I highly recommend it.
@@thematman92 sounds like my cup of tea, I'll check it out. Thanks!
I love how he completely bullshits Steven Seagal into killing him.
That's how you manipulate a narcissist. You have to find a way to feed into their delusions in order to get what you need for the moment.
@@whitestguyuknow steven is so dumb he killed his own career
@@Chuked well not being an entrepreneur
@@whitestguyuknow Yes. Just stroke their ego and convince them it was actually their own "brilliant" idea.
Brilliant he knew Seagal is a fucking fraud and flipped it on him
This man’s conversation about his reincarnated character is more believable than anything Seagal ever wrote
🤣🤣🤣
I loved his movies in the 90's and early 2000's. However I noticed all of his movies had the same thing. Steven coming up for the native Indian population and the baddy is always some western Oil tycoon that wants the native's land and then Steven bumbling about 'saving the environment', much like those luny Al Gore climate alarmists.
Seagull can't wrote.
@@ps3pspgoandroid Good thing you can wrote. XD
Didn't see Stephen Sagal beat up and threaten cast numbers.
I had no idea what a fascinating, real person this guy is. Like, wow, he passed the mother-of-all Speech checks against Seagal's beliefs.. then had the stones to go back in and record those lines, and did so well enough to get Keenan Wayans' chuckling. And how he slipped back IN to that little role form all those years ago! This. This is an actor.
I had the same thought. It sounds like the conclusion to a quest in a CRPG that's either long, tedious, and involves lots of combat and traveling or an insanely high speech check..
A few years ago, a guy named David Chen did a podcast with him talking about his life. The Tobolowsky Files. It’s pretty great and he has tons of interesting stories.
@@TVWOC Ooo, I'll have to check that out. Thanks!
Interesting to note that he was in Groundhog Day, a movie about Bill Murray repeating the same day.
After having a number of takes with Bill doing various antics, when he had his conversation with the Director he had to be thinking about, “Doing strange things in a movie that are unexpected? I was in a movie with Bill Murray who was repeating the same day. I got this!!!”
Steven Seagal: "I've had a spiritual awakening and no longer feel it's right to be in violent action movies"

Because you love when people suffer.
In Hollywood if you want to keep working consistently you NEVER bad mouth another project, fellow actor or director/crew member.
Steven seagal is obviously a narcissist, and quite possibly a sociopath (and sociopath is actually a type of narcissist!)

Stephen Tobolowski is a PHENOMENAL actor. This video should've won him an Emmy. I've never seen a better acting job than when he gave Steven Seagull compliments on his acting and personality. This was honestly quite riveting. I had no idea that this level of acting was even possible.

He sure does!
They need to start doing collector's edition DVD's of all of Steven Seagal's movies from the 80's and 90's with bonus interviews where the cast share all the crazy stories from set like this one.
That would be great. The only downside is that his shitty movie sales would go up. Maybe just do a documentary with everyone that has stories of how crazy he is.
Just reading every IMDB trivia about his movies makes me think he is schizophrenic or something...
Seriously? With all the straight to DVD movies he's made, it wouldn't be a box set, it'd be a shopping cart-full set.

Stephen Tobolowsky is one of those great character actors that has been in dozens of movie and has guest starred on hundreds of TV shows.
But who very few people outside the industry know by name.
He was terrific as the Very Persistent Insurance Salesman in Groundhog Day, which gets a lot of play every year around this time.
It was fun (but not surprising) to hear his Seagal story.
What an amazing storyteller... and such an underrated actor!!
Totally! I love everything I’ve seen him in! And yeah, I love how he tells this story!
Steven Seagal has the gall and audacity of someone a trillion times his talent level. It's pure comedy.. 💀😂
It's not about talent, it's about drawing money. In the early 90s the dude put asses into seats
@@GinEric84 I question whether any of his movies would not have had the same or even better box office with a different lead.
Replace Seagal in his biggest movie (Under Siege) with a real movie star (i.e. Bruce Willis) and the movie does far better at the box office. With the rest of the cast, a B movie star of the time like Thomas Ian Griffith gets a similar box office.
@@geoffreysorkin5774 I think under siege did so well because he was at the height of his powers with his bullshit mystique which lead to the big box office.
People inexplicable thought he was for real (maybe because his acting is so bad) and I think that set it apart from the other a room flicks at the box office
@@GinEric84 Marketing. The producers marketed him as "the real deal" heavily for the film. If you replace him with Thomas Ian Griffith and market him just as hard, the movie does just as well (and Griffith being a better actor has a real career once he gets the big break he never got in real life)
A trillion times zero is just zero.
The most hilarious part to me was "Stephen started adlibbing that he didn't kill the guy at the church." Laughed my ass off!
Ha Ha..yea that's crazy!..they got him on video killing the guy and it's in the script.
Marcus Gorvin I know right? Jesus Steven seagal is a prick. Good on that dude for tricking him with the reincarnation bit, that was smart
I find that hard to believe, i.e, why wouldn't the director have yelled, "cut!"
I lost my shit at that part lol

I loved Stephen Tobolowsky in his comedic roles. I'll pretty much any scene if he is in it.

5:25 “Man, now we are in the realm of high comedy.”
Brilliant!
Even though that man was forced to do that scene in that ridiculous way, his acting was still on point. The dude can act.
I didn't know that actors can just change the script spontaneously as they please.
Yea, I would say anything goes in a majority of his movies. Actually I never seen more than 5 minutes of any of his movies, because he looked like he didn't have any acting ability from that 5 minutes I'd even seen. And other critic's said that since he tried writing all his own movies, they were so confusing that the directors basically said, Whatever, and went with it just to get it over with and done.
He was at the height of his stardom, the whole movie rested on his shoulders
If you're a star you can. I think he was also the producer, so that helps too.
They aren't supposed too but if your one of the main stars of the movie such that they can't finish the movie without you can make all kinda crazy demands...
If you try that as anything but a main star you just get fired...
@@RideOnTimePH 😂😂😂😂😂 You're right!!
I will NEVER grow tired of hearing these Steven Seagal stories lol the absurdity is always entertaining.
There's not a big audience for bad acting action heroes in non-murderous action movies.

Seagal is crazy on set. Several times he mumbled so bad on line delivery that the studio would dub his lines with a voice actor who tried to emulate Steven's voice. Sometimes Steven would not be in set so they had a body double stand in for the simple pick up shots. You can see these flubs on a lot of his B movies especially after 2010.
