My strategy to survive a gunship: never do something to get into a fight with one in the first place.
To survive AC130 is either get a plane so you can run or accept your fate
there is a way, its call water

Take out the pilots
While I was deployed to Afghanistan I was able to see one in action. I also did see a Warthog too. Both were pretty cool to see but the Gunship was crazy.
What unit
I used to be a Sensor Operator on the AC-130H. We had a saying, "You can run, but you will only die tired."

The older AC-130s had hot cups and a convection oven. Hot cups could do coffee or soup. All C-130s have that capability. The new J models have the same amenities as the Gunship you featured. There is usually a privacy curtain around the toilet area.
6:21 MEF: Mission Execution Forecast. It gives extremely specific weather information for a certain timeframe. Army Aviation uses MEFs provided by the Air Force.

There isn’t much you can do to survive an AC-130 anymore. I know the new ones have pylons that they can put additional ordinance onto, usually bunker busters. So if your survival plan was to hide in a basement or a bunker I hate to break it to you but you will probably not be leaving there alive.

@@snugglecity3500 Ac-130’s are almost never up without Fighter or Multirole aircraft up at the same time😂 this includes F-22’s, F-16’s, F-15’s and sometimes even F-18’s and F-35’s its the same with the A-10 and stuff too its something the US has done sense WW2 something useful to keep ur planes, drones Etc.

I had a friend who had some experiences with AC130s in Iraq around 2009 and he described it like a "thunderstorm from hell" sadly I never got to see one in action, but he swears by them.

Worked weapons on the H model when the U was completing development. Miss seeing the 40 and rotary cannons, but stoked they finally approved the missile capabilities.

Just so you are aware, one hand flying as you call it is how I was trained in the civ world. You just need your other hand to flick some switches and move the throttles.

I was a special operation radio communicator in the 2000s. I would deploy with these beats, and yes they are that amazing. Good times!
The AC-130 has such a formidable reputation that it should be possible to use regular cargoplanes as a deterrent when the gunship is not available.
The Marines have the Harvest hawk package that is a similar concept to the gunship but it is able to be transferred to another plane if needed.

How do you survive an AC-130 attack? Unless you have air support on call to intercept it, you don't. It's a flying tank with a howitzer, cannon and high-caliber machine gun.
Even if you have air support the AC-130 will just leave until the threat is immobilized.
They are also testing a lazar to destroy ICBMs
My favorite model had 2 7.62mm mini-guns (6000 rounds a minute each) 2 20mm M61A1 cannon (6000 rounds a minute each) 1 40 MM Bofors auto cannon (180 rounds a minutes) and the M107 105MM cannon.
7.62 was discontinued on the A models with twin 40’s. The 105 was introduced on the H, but had no 7.62’s.

The T56 prop planes are fine. Same engine platform that was in the P-3’s and E-2C’s. The only downside is the steady hum on ground turns could put me right to sleep.

Watched an AC-130 take out a target one time. Pax were entrenched in a full block area...needless to say that city block is now just a field.
The AC-130U was the better one if you ask me. because it had a Smaller BRRRRRRRRRRRRT gun on it. the GAU-25 Equalizer 25mm Gatling Gun. then it had the 40mm BOFORS and THEN, it also still had the 105mm Howitzer.
