Man I've been doing this for so long the more "manual" way of just looking at the records of the master and then trying to find them in the child mod, never stopped to think if there was a script for it. Decided to check because I'm trying to remove a big mod and I have a lot of patches for it and it would've taken me hours of checking, probably gonna be done in 5 minutes now. Thanks!
Thanks so much for this! I had a mod that required another mod that added nothing too it and conflicted with another mod I had due to that. This simple video helped alot! Btw to save it, exit SSEEdit by pressing X then go the save button that appears. Just incase theres afew newbies just like me who were unsure.

Okay, the video helped me to the point where I was able to remove all the master snippets from a patch, but the master references in the header do not want to update after running Clean Masters.
Thanks! Was able to download a more recent patch collection for COTN Falkreath, and remove the plugin fish.esm master files without issue. No more floating lanterns in Falkreath!
Can you teach us how to manage/change weapon animations? I use MCO and Animated Armoury but notice that NPCs don't use the spear animations for my Pikes lol
Does not work for me. When i press record there's no Remove button, only Edit. I can only remove record from original esp but not patch. xedit 4.0.4 since its the one used in Nolvus
Unfortunately, I'm still not getting it, it's too much for my smooth brain. If I get "Selected masters are required by the following records and elements" I can use ID to open but still don't know what should I disable, too many stuff Nothing is really poking my eye to be like "hey dumass, this! ( ) right here👈 !!" and I have almost 2000 mods and I am afraid not to F it up, so I guess I'm stuck even with the stuff I don't want. It's just whole bunch of followers that I don't want from the pack, but have ESP. I'm on edge with Master plugins that's why I wanted to remove them.
The message should tell you what type of record is being referenced. For followers usually it'll be the entire npc record or objects they place, so you'd want to remove the entire record from said patch. Also, if the origin of the record is a mod and not base game stuff, usually you'd remove the whole record.
I know these videos arent as popular, but i appreciate these tutorials. Been making a lot of custom patches thanks to your tutorials.

When I want to remove a record that is creating a master dependency it will not let me. Now what?

On mine I ran the script but does not show a container just all the files dependent on the Master. Not sure what to do...
