- For this video, I had the opportunity to drive this monstrous 705 wheel horsepower Shelby GT500 owned by my friend JD from Northern Virginia. Basically a step above the Terminator Cobra I reviewed, this thing is no joke and it is one of the most thrilling cars I've ever driven. Thanks for all of you watching and stay awesome. He must mean at the rear tires. So I pulled up to a brand new Corvette at the Red light. As soon as he heard my car take off he knew he didn't want to race me. I have over 900 HP at the crank on this SS.

This GT500 was easily one of the most beautiful sounding cars I've ever heard in my life. I JUST got over my obsession with wanting one, looks like I'm back on it. Hahaha.
It's a GT500 version of the Terminator Cobra you reviewed, just with about 200 more Horsepower :D. I have such a sweet spot for Mustangs, it's probably because I'm in the UK haha. Nice video David.
do you guys get the new gt350s over there? don't think ive seen a gt350 on the right side drive.
We don't get a right hand drive GT350. If we want one we need to import from US.
One thing I've noticed in all your videos .. When you accelerate, and give it.. You have the most dead serious face in the world, soon as you let off your grin hits instantaneously. I love it hahaha.

This and a 5.0 are a close race stock to stock.. Not sure why he called it a "dud". I'd take a shelby over a coyote any day, it's something special.
xjado321 I call it a dud because my car pulls on them stock and I have 3 bolt on's. For the price it was back when it came out-the competition was much more worth the money. (Z06 etc.)
ThatDudeinBlue Well, the mustang isn't really meant to compete with the corvette. The GT500 is more about big horsepower and straight line speed where as the corvette is a bit more handling orientated
I would take a terminator over a pre 2013 GT500 any day

Ugh... why can't they make a Camaro sound this nice? Don't get me wrong... the ZL1 has unrivaled exhaust note in my humble opinion... but Ford Mustang's (Cobra, Shelby, etc) have a blower whine that simply just can NOT be beat.

Because of this video I bought my own 08 GT500.
It's been 7 years but I'm here to say they are 100% affordable now. 20-30k for a very good condition GT500
Picked one up w 48k original miles needs a little body work but only 25k
@@jackharris4185 I got mine in May of 2020 clean title few tasteful mods 108k miles for 16500. Miles was little higher miles than alot of them but that is an absolute steal. Last year I did a gen3r I'm at around 750 rwhp pushing 20 psi on 93/boostane I'm at 125k now and it's put up for the winter. I keep up on maintenence and take care of it but I ain't afraid to rip it either. They're stout cars. Don't be scared of a few miles if it's been taken care of. Talk about bang for the buck lol. It had an mgw and rst twin disc when I got it and they're awesome. Must have. The tr6060 is a badass trans I shift the dog piss out of mine and it begs for more. And the sound omg the sound! Mine has borla stingers and OR hpipe stock headers right now but I'm doing long tubes in couple months sticking with an hpipe because h sounds menacing and deep. These cars are full of so much win its not even funny. Mine is a stripe delete 07 so it sort of flies under the radar. I've had more than one gm product run up on me probably thinking I was a run of the mill 3v only to get heartbroken. Priceless.

Yep! 705 wheel.
The hellcat is 707 hp from factory , so with some basics bolts on like cai , tune , pulley etc , easily smokes this mustang , plus the chally has a 8 speed with fast shifts :)
elvicdesonora the hellcat is going to cost you a lot more than this, also this one is 705 WHEEL horsepower, the hell cat is 707 crank. The best time to buy the hellcat will be in about 5 years, once they are old enough for some good tuners to get their hands on it, nothing else will compare, but for now....07-09 gt500's are a great buy!
elvicdesonora also 8 speed trans is just extra overdrive gears to better the fuel economy witht the govt getting more strict in its federal standards and guidlines for newer cars...it is a kool car that I am glad they made. When the srt8 first came out I thought looks great but why not put some serious power under the hood?

I love all the cars you review on here, especially the integra and I'm a die hard gm fanboy too! Haha! But with that being said, I think it would sweet to review older cars, such as chevelles, camaros, trans ams, chargers, mustangs, whatever you can get your hands on. Hell, older imports like a Datsun Z , even unique 80s cars like a GNX's, or what have you, would be amazing to see as well!

It's defiantly an experience to feel 700+whp and your first time you have to record your reaction, that's why I love making reaction video's bc most ppl won't and haven't ever experienced how it feels. But when you do and get back in a 300hp car that felt fast before it won't be as exciting anymore.
Lmao that's funny you say that. I rode in my buddy's SR 240 300ish hp and I damn near shit myself when it first hit boost. It was so unexpected haha. First boosted car I've ever rode in.

Yah 380hp does feel fast until you get in my 08 gt500 making 850hp and my 10 super snake has more power with 900hp.Honestly I almost want to tune it down.In 4th gear at 90mph if I stomp on it I can spin the tires at90 mph in 4th and when I hit 5th it churps.I honesty think 600hp and up for the street is insane.
You should find a Supra to review!!!

One of the sweetest looking cars I’ve seen and herd! I have an 03 Terminator but this cars colors “outside” are perfect! I wish the seats and doors had the same color inlay as the stripes instead of the red.. but that’s being picky. It’s a smoking Beautiful Real Hot Rod!!!!
