- In this video we’re having a look at the 15,6 inch Lenovo v15 g2 alc laptop from ideapad v series with latest Ryzen processors. It comes in Ryzen 5300u, 5500u and 5700u variations. This includes a quick setup and demonstration. I quite liked playing Valorant on it and watching Shang chi.

Which laptop would you recommend this one or ideapad 3 with the same processor ( r5 5500u) for a student?
ideapad 3 is more classy, but they have still a lot in common, so it all depends if you care about style or if just want affordable performance.
Can it be upgraded with 8 gb module of ram for a total of 16 gb ? It has a dedicated slot for that ?
Yes it has soldered ram and one slot for ram upgrade.

Hi, Do you recommend this laptop for electrical engineering student? Softwares which i am going to use Autocad matlab proteus keil etc.
its well supported, go with 8gb ram version and you will be fine for long time, you can also upgrade ram in the future. autocad best works with intel processors, but it will also work with latest Ryzen 5 7520 and Ryzen 3 7320

I just ordered one but the 14inch version. I want to buy ideapad 5 but the ram are not upgradable. It sucks having only 4+4 ram. Bought one and also added another 8gb ram to make it dual channel. I wonder why it's cheaper than ideapad 5 though.
How is your experience with this machine? The battery, any heating issues..?
@@azizbalti8467 No issue with the performance. I can even play games like monster hunter sunbreak at 60fps 1080p on medium setting. My only regret is the screen is not that good. And there's also no backlit keyboard. Battery life is decent. I use it plugged most of the time so I can't comment much on that. It have no heating issue so far even when I'm gaming.

@@mahmoud_benamor hi , i choosed the ideapad 5 i5 11th , 8gb ram , mx450 , 500gb ssd ... And I'm really happy with it , 8gb is more than enough, the battery is great, and i can play big titles like resident evil 7 easely with the mx450.
Should I go for a Lenovo V15 G2 or a Lenovo Ideapad 5 "14" ALC (BOTH HAVE A R5 5500U, 8gb Ram) the V15 has 516ssd and ip5 has 256ssd

I have ordered g2 v15 1tb dos for 34k...same with windows and ssd was costing 42k...i was tight on budget so i bought good or not? I will update RAM and SSD later
yes for the price and speed ratio - its logical solution and you can always upgrade windows later...

@@subscribeandlike154 yes you can! it has 4gb soldered RAM and one expansion slot for another 8gb (or 4) i think 12gb is max
Do you recommend this for normal video editing work? runs software like filmora?
well it will work, it all depends of size and bitrate of 4k videos, its possible to have normal workflow, but processing could take longer time with bigger projects. its best to start with 16gb ram.

I've just bought this laptop, but why the brightness doesn't work? the lowest and highest brightness is same..

it has good midrange sound with 70% volume, but on other side definitely not the loudest in the class.

5300u is okay also check out 3500u or 4500u if you can still find it
@@TechWatcher I'm getting ryzen 5 3500u, 8gb , 512 gb ssd at 29.5 k but isn't that processor a bit old and on benchmarks ryzen 3 5300u out performs ryzen 5 3500U that's why I'm confused.
First i ordered ryzen 5 3500U but after checking the benchmark score and keeping in mind the launch date gap/ generation gap of both processors i cancelled it and now thinking about Ryzen 3 5300u ?

@@utkarshdwivedi1923 I have ordered the R3 5300U, 512 Gb version. Even I was heck confused but then I decided to go with it because of the price factor. The processor beats the i3 11th gen in multithreads & competes with the i5-11 too in a few specs.
@@NikhilKumar-fb2dd mine got delivered today, and after checking it for a while i can say that i made the right choice for the price I'm paying as its fast and build quality also feels good.
Display quality is good according to price and anti glare display but viewing angles are not that much good if more than 1 person is watching something on laptop as they are limited to 90°
The sound feels kinda low.
But everything else is quite good, the performance, keyboard, looks and everything.

yes but u will need to use low quality graphics settings, go with laptop with gtx graphics if you want to play smoothly
