Lenovo V15 G2 ALC Laptop Review and look at upgrade options

This is a low-cost home use laptop from Lenovo, as it comes with Windows 11 Home, but can be upgraded to Windows 11 Pro if needed for joining to a local or Azure domain. It's fairly easy to get into for upgrades and comes with an empty single RAM slot to add another 8GB SODIMM in, and an empty bay for a 2.5" SSD drive.
Overall, it's a decent machine providing sufficient CPU performance for daily tasks although it should be noted that it's not a gaming laptop so don't expect any decent frame rates from modern titles.

It already has a 1 8gb. As per Lenovo site, you can only add another 8gb 3200 ddr4

​@@Alladin758 no, you are wrong. As far as I know, this laptop has 8 gb in dual mode, so 2 modules installed. But one 4gb module is soldered so you can change only the other one. If you believe the specs on Lenovo site you can install only 8 gb module and get 12 gb total. If so, it sucks.
But some people say that 16 gb module is also supported so you can get 20 gb total memory and even dual mode works. Still I'm not sure if it's really true.
