When I first saw the pictures of the box, I wasn’t too sure what to think about this one, but the more I see about it, the more I like it. Also, really nice review!
Thanks for reviewing this. Felt you were a tad kinder to this model given your self-confessed love for Lamborghinis. Couldn't agree with you more on the lights, color matching, printing errors, and lack of printed tires. I think you aptly hit the nail on the head - It is a 380$ toy that can't move (re: Leibherr)! To me the color starkly reminds of the Claas Xerion. An agricultural vehicle and super car sharing the same color may seem rather sad on display!(?) It would have been nice to see (more) your thoughts on the transmission, suspension and general complexity in the vehicle as part of your detailed review. Why not offer customers the option to pick and choose their own colors - couple of options would have been nice and making it an experience in itself - another missed opportunity!
Sariel -- you should know that your bonus code is fully legible between 14:54 and 15:04, right through the bag. We can see all but the first character at 14:55, and that can be found at 14:54. You may want to reblur, unless you've already used it. You can see almost the entire code again between 14:58 and 15:02, except for half of the last character.
Errors in book 2. 1st page of building with parts from bags 4 page 58 shows 2 of the Black Flex Rods needed. It should be 3. The red oval in the inset in step 771 page 145 should be around the red cross block like in step 722 page 121. The inventory shows there are 26 Black Lever 5M. Brickset shows the correct amount of 12 Black and 14 Med Stone Grey ones.
My problem is reverse. I already have both Porsche and Bugatti so I cannot refuse to buy this set. At least, I do not have to spend any more money on Legos till 2022 when we get another 1:8 scale supercar.
Rafat Monjazeb yep same here, this out of the three interests me the least just because I have no interest in the Sian, but I’ve got to get it now that I have the others
I just with they would get someone other than VAG to do this. Porsche, Bugatti, Lambo, and even Ducati - all part of VAG. CAn we get a McLaren, or a Koenigsegg, or even a Ferrari?
I could have sworn those lime axel connectors and tooth existed way before this set. Definitely remember a few of them in different technic and bionicle sets.
Just got mine from being backordered. Pieces still do not match in color. I found a couple errors in book1. There are 2 black pins used in step 215 on page 154. In step 367 on page 244, you can see 1 pin has jumped onto the subassembly being attached to the car. This error has been corrected in the on-line instructions. Also, in the insets showing a closeup view in step 471 page 304 and step 500 page 321, the 2 arms are supposed to be 90 degrees from each other. You can see the cross hole in the arm does not line up with the cross shape of the yellow shaft.
I got into the legos at 61....lol But after buying a few of their big sets, i am completely hooked. I am always amazed by the creativity of their engineers. I will probably buy this set. It's a lot of money, but hey, what the heck...let's have some fun building.
After one year of having this model, and after deciding to clean it deeper (have it on a tall shelf)... I realized i made basic but annoying mistakes. One, the doors should hold up fully and lower perfectly. Mine drop loosely and need to fiddle with the connection to close fully. The second... The front drive is reversed to the rear drive. That is it won't drive forward nor back, cuz when the front wheels move one direction, the rear wheels move the oposite. I gave to fix this mistakes. Luckily there are parts that don't need to be touched, but will need to take apart a great deal of the car to find where i screwed on the drivetrain and the gearbox. Still 10/10 model, love it to bits
@@searme yea now I agree with you on the printing as the wheel looks small on camera but bigger in real life. Although I still think that the tread looks pretty accurate.
I believe that with colours the original lambo is only being painted a different colour for each car, you cannot buy one in the same colour as already existing. So the wrong colour is a moot point. The big question is who will by the real car in lime green.
Great video. As a lego fan, I enjoy watching your videos. I absolutely love this set. As a kid I have always loved lamborghinis. One of my favorite sports cars. I am really looking forward to getting this set to add to my technic collection. Keep up the great work.

Lego have evolved so fast, this set dosent nearly look like enything lego have made before, just by watching the opening makes think -this isent lego- well it is.
Just finished mine. The amount of exterior parts that were a dull green rather than lime green was disappointing, but overall it was still worth it. It is a work of art on Legos part.
Man, you were quick! Thanks for that. It really made my day. Great review, there is everything I wanted to know in it. It will be hard to wait for some discounts...
Initially thought it was slightly smaller than the Chiron, however sizes up well next to it. Everything about the model looks fantastic, and I love for once all the pieces are printed, and not cheaply stickered. Never gave the tires much thought, but a valiant complaint considering it is a 350+ model, and deserves better. Only other complaint is at this scale/detail Lego should start considering to include the option to add motorized functions as most people probably will anyway. Despite any flaws an excellent build challenge, and display model. Would love to get someday, but if I ever venture out into world of 1:8 technic super cars I'd probably go for the Chiron as it'll probably be retiring soon.
So now we got a 1:8 supercar with a boxer-6 engine, one with a W16 engine, and one with a V12. What's missing is one with a rotary engine, and one with an inline engine. For the latter I can think of the BMW i8, which would give Lego the opportunity to also add electric motors, like actual electric motors, and finally make one of these RC! I'm glad to hear that Lego has gone for the print-only, no-stickers approach for these premium models. And that the transmission is exposed. Definitely steps in the right direction. Now if only we could see the engine working as well! And I'm totally with you on the tires. And the lights. Also, very unrealistic expectation, but I don't really like the "panelfest" aesthetic of these supercar models. I'd celebrate it if Lego went back to only suggesting the shape of the bodywork with soft axles.
Regarding the color discrepancy at 18:00, there's something about that particular piece. I have a 42108 Crane and this exact piece is obviously a different shade of yellow. It is also very difficult to connect the pin side, which makes me suspect that this piece was not made in-house, but was offloaded to some factory where they add a lot more "Chinesium" to the plastic.
Got this set for Xmas, just finished box 2 and got 2 blue pegs left over. God knows where I've missed them from. Had to come here to check the spare parts list.
Prior to the launch of this set I did not like the Lamborghini Sian car. However, LEGO knocked this model out of the park and sold me on the real life car. I agree that it’s the best 1:8 Technic car.
First off, amazing cinematography love Sariel it's a pleasure to watch and also props for you utilising the new segment function so we can see which part of the review is at what time. It's the little details that make it thanks! What a car too

The Chiron did have bonus content, I just did it last week. The site you enter it on is different to the Porsche one, you will be able to tell by the URL. I build the 42096 911 RSR and the tires are really plastic-y. I don't mind too much for a ~120€ set, but at 3 times that price... that sucks. It would be like in real life where you purchase a Lambo for the price of a very nice home, and then put the price of a three week vacation into aftermarket parts :D Something i wish they would put into those models : a hand of god. Error in instruction manual book 1. There are 2 black pins used in step 215 on page 154. In step 367 on page 244, you can see 1 pin has jumped onto the subassembly being attached to the car. This error has been corrected in the on-line instructions.
The detail that goes into the boxes is amazing
