      Wasn't he already extremely wealthy at the point artie joined the show,? Artie said he was very generous and looked after his staff and friends, for example hiring out that pizza place artie loved in new York with free food and booze for all, its clear he changed dramatically at some point but was it just money ? Or I suppose it could of all been an act from the start and he was smart enough to keep the people playing a big part in the, shows success sweet... That story about him blocking the go fund ne for Scott the engineers wifes cancer treatment is unbelievable, he could of paid that himself or at least helped promote it, what on earth could get stern to be that cruel? He almost sounds like a different person, or maybe he was always like that

      Very narrow and subjective interpretation - Howard is very upfront about his therapy and how much he has changed - and he constantly speak of not being proud of a lot of his angry and resentful behavior of the past - money has nothing to do w it; like the other dude pointed out, he had been loaded for many years prior to his "change" - I've been listening to him since 1986 and I'm not the same, I'm cool w his change - if you still want him screaming at the sky, fine, but that doesn't make Howard a sellout.

    Howard and Beth getting together was the death of the show from what it once was. Howard being older dating a younger women after his first wife. He stopped doing the things he did while married to Allison. Started acting as if him and Beth were the greatest together. And trying constantly to prove to everyone she was with him because of love and how perfect they were together and how it wasn’t for money or because he was Howard. Everything stopped once he was serious with Beth. Even the staff knew. And they I’m sure was tired of hearing Howard talk down about everyone else’s marriage or personal life acting as what he has is the only way. The game shows he had with the couples he cheated acted as if his love was stronger than anyone else’s and was mad if anyone questioned it. Howard will always be a great interviewer but he will never be what he once once in the 90s. Also he seemed very fake at times towards his staff that truly ran that show. Even with stuttering John leaving how he couldn’t even talk to him about it when John wanted 20 minutes with Howard. Howard acted as if he’s to important to spend time talking to a staff member. Which makes it much easier to know your place somewhere and take the offer with Leno.

    • @firstnamekaty8830
      @firstnamekaty8830 9 месяцев назад +7

      Yeah, I agree with all of this. He calls Beth the love of his life and that has to be a slap in the face to Allison. Allison married him when he was a nobody and was broke and he calls Beth the love of his life?🙄 Beth would’ve never even looked Howard’s way if he wasn’t so rich and famous. I’ve said for years that Beth ruined him. He’s the person he used to make fun of. I understand people aging and maturing and changing their beliefs somewhat but Howard did a 180. It seems like he’s trying to change his legacy before he retires but he’s actually just ruining it imo. He’s not gaining fans, he’s losing them.
      Rumor has it that Beth was a high end call girl working for Uzo(remember Uzo?) and that’s how she met Howard. Allegedly, Beth was at a party with a “date” and she was introduced to Howard and then Howard called Uzo to hook him up. Who knows if it’s true or not but it wouldn’t surprise me.

    What an employee (or independent contractor) will put up with is his/her responsibility. That said, Howard's character is seriously in question. And while I don't spite a guy for maturing, the whole "I'm woke" thing makes me want to vomit.

    Shuli was corny af. He tried to hard to fit in and it showed. Constantly felt the need to let everyone know how long he'd been doing comedy. Not funny and the only way he had fans show up was because he was on the howard stern show. He's like that one person everyone had in high-school. The corny guy that followed around the cool guys around school because he wanted to be cool so bad.

I don’t know what Ralph’s net worth was but if he did not have insurance, it means he was struggling for money, or did not want to spend. He could’ve easily had ralph staying in his house even if he’s a best friend.
