i found it way more funny when she went after gary. watching the higher ups get their balls busted is way more entertaining than going after someone low on the totem pole.
I love how they all say they didn't know how bad Artie was. He literally told them how bad he was, he put it in a book! They went with it because they thought it was funny. It wasn't.

After listening to a few of these it's kind of apparent how insanely self centered howard was. Someone said on one of those how he's only in it for himself. This lady was like 3rd in command of the show after Gary and she couldn't afford to live in the city. Like he paid people like crap then yelled at them when they were forced to get 2nd jobs to pay their bills (appearences, cookie party, touring). Scott the Engineer had to go on gofundme to beg for money for his wife's cancer treatment and was fired for it. I feel awkward about ever being a fan...
Apparently the Scott go fund me was Scott double dipping. They had full insurance according to Radio Gunk

I love Tracy. It was from another time. When the radio was raw and it hurt people's feelings. That is ultimately not sustainable when the bosses feelings get hurt, but very good.

It’s really sad how we’ve become so hyper sensitive now! I’d think it’s funny if my boss called me an A-hole. Ppl are so uptight and thin skinned nowadays, you feel like u have to tip toe around everyone and constantly worry about everything that came out of your mouth.
I’d much rather have a work environment where ppl were allowed to speak their minds no matter how offensive it may be. I’d hate to work for a company where I felt I had to constantly walk on egg shells! That’s no way to run a company or in Stern’s case, a radio show. Howard operated with no filter! And that’s a good thing in my book. Now go play in traffic! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have to disagree with Tracy. The show is not good now. Howard is a great interviewer, but who he interviews makes a difference. Jane Fonda, one of those UK soy boys, no thanks.
It was boys club at the Stern show. They didn't like a woman who has a strong personality to challenge them. Not surprisingly that the morale there was toxic when you're constantly attacked on the air everyday. If you look at most of that cast of characters a lot of them have problems with addiction or problems in general. Hell a lot of them are dead and who the hell would attack her 7 years later? That's just odd
The only ones who are dead are Ralph, Cabbie and a few wack packers who already had pre existing medical problems. Howard got ETM all his acting roles. And even though he made fun of ETM, he genuinely liked the guy and wanted him to live a happy life. It’s so easy to sit on the side and judge and criticize Howard’s actions. I myself have listened to him for at least 25 yrs now and he’s put out some of the most entertaining shows ever.

Artie incident seemed like it didn't need to happen, but if it did not, maybe he overdoses on show because they were forging ahead, like it was gonna be Belushi background aspect layer..."missing signs of trouble"...Unfortunately, it rose to level of suspecting occultism, because listening there were was too much volatility to stay on rails. You can read more into other detail aspects, but if thinking again to Belushi, you wonder if it's wizard people. It was not subtle how much Lange was struggling with addiction, just listening to show.
