Thanks for the award and thanks to Yousician and Rob for the contest, didn't expect it honestly. Hopefully many people will recognize this Sape Instrument, FYI it's a music instrument of Dayak People, specifically Kenyah/Orang ulu and Kayan Sub-tribe, that spread across Borneo/Kalimantan island (Indonesia and Malaysia). Some well-known Sape Player are Jerry Kamit, Alena Murang, Uyau Morris and Thambunesia.

The one you see the guy in red was playing is called a sape. A traditional instrument from Borneo. You can check out Matthew Ngau Jau and Jerry Kamit to see more and there are various sape players too not enough to be mentioned. Hope you'll come over to Sarawak here to check out this instrument!

Speaking of unusual instruments, I'm challenging you Rob: Find an Asian musician(s) to show you a Korean *geomungo* and a Chinese *guqin.* Both are great instruments that I know you'll love, they sound beautiful, and they're not hard for a guitarist to pick up.

The musical instrument with a bird headstock was called a “Sape”.... its from the eastern part of Malaysia, Sarawak. ( a.k.a Borneo)
