A month ago we uploaded this contest: • The Riff That Got Away...
I'd never found the perfect song for one of my favorite riffs that I created, so I opened it up to everyone who watches my channel. More than 300 entries later, I've found more than a few. The plan being that my favorite wins one of my signature models from Chapman Guitars, 6 or 8 string, and a music video that we'll make together.... Here are the results.

I feel called out XD all the entries were so goood, even if I didn't win, it pushed me to make probably my favorite song I've made so far in a super short deadline, and introduced me to so many other cool channels, so I'm super happy I entered for sure :D
Congratulations to Steff! :D I've honestly become a huge fan of his over the course of the contest, and although I still held out a little hope since he'd won once before, he definitely deserved the win XD good job to everyone else who entered too! :D
Also, I'm for sure gonna release a better produced version of my entry later with retakes of a couple parts, and I've been working on a bunch of music with the two folks I made the song/video with, and I'm gonna post those, plus I'll post videos talking about how I made them/some other just general fun stuff too if anyone's interested :D

I'm sorry to break the chain, but, I just wanted to say that it's such a sight seeing you three legends replying to one another. I love each and every one of you guys' work and I'm so thankful to Rob for giving such great musicians and artists this exposure! I love making music and thanks to you guys that love is strengthened. I just wanted to let you know how, in the span of 30 minutes, you guys have become such big inspiratons for me to become a better musician and in general. There are so many moments in this video where you can tell Rob is on the verge of tears finally hearing this riff used by so many talented and loving fans. I just wanna hug him.

Ahhh! Thanks so much Rob for your recognition - that seriously made my whole week. Im so glad you put this contest on since Ive had a rough time getting out of my own composing rut and finally finishing something, so hopefully having recorded a song I'll have my foot in the door to continue creating. Im so excited to see the music video with Stef!

real talk, a big reason why I love these so much is all the silly awards you give to everyone. It's a fun thing but it actually shows your appreciation towards every single artist in a unique and personal way and I really dig that.

oh man! rob is such an inspiration to me as a musician. i'm learning how to play my favorite song "for that second". i'll never be able to afford one of this guitars or pay the chip to my country or even afford gear to record videos to participate on these contests. it sucks. i just want rob to know that in some small town of Chile is a painter learning from him...

Congrats to the winner, to all that submitted, and thanks Rob for making this contest. I was a little surprised that the guy who played his guitar upside down didn’t win. I have to say I’m a bit sad though lol. I knew my entry wasn’t good enough to win but I had hoped it was good enough to at least get some random award in the final upload “most depressing, best doggo, greatest shameless coke plug, etc.” lol. I submitted my entry via the form on time, but I had forgotten to add the hashtag to my RUclips video until about a week after the contest closed. I figured that was only important for other people (besides Rob) to find the uploads easier. Oh well, it’s all good, I’m used to things like this.
