I know this is an older video, but it came in handy. I have a Rebel GT and has the same air cleaner as in your truck. This video will make the installation of my CC much simpler.
Great review, purchased the same catch can but the hose lines came pre-installed on the wrong side of the catch can. Had quite the time trying to remove it (unsuccessfully). Should be getting another one here this week to actually route the lines correctly.
Thanks for the video, made install super simple! The directions weren’t difficult but it’s nice to see someone else do it so you know what you can pull on without breaking stuff. On my Rebel GT, it came with the Ram CAI already but it has an additional support bracket behind that metal column where yours has nothing. Didn’t make taking it apart impossible but made it harder to get a good purchase on the rear point where the tube connects.
Nice job. Did this right after putting the ram airflow intake on. Went with Mishimoto though. Still waiting to hear from my dealership here in Pittsburgh or even Chrysler for that matter as to when we will be able to buy secondary air filter for the intake. I prefer to wash mine and let them air dry on their own and put there secondary one on til it’s time to clean and repeat. Time doesn’t stand still when there are so many things to do. If I hear anything, I’ll send word in your direction. Great content, keep it up my friend.
You should of left off the old cover when installing the ram air intake…plus you don’t have your cover installed correctly….you can see the cracks where the cover snaps in…
How many miles did you have on your truck when you got this? I got about 16k on my 21 ram and I drive it hard just noticed my s n b intake was wet a bit and oil in my intake box and inside the tube have no idea what’s alot tho hopping I’m not late

Glad it helped.

Thanks! I appreciate it!
I really think the oil catch can is really worth having!! I bought one for my 2019 ram months ago. 👍👍👍👍👍
Yeah I am definitely late buying one but I at least have one now lol.
Dang I happened to purchase the cheapo one and the metal hose ends were tighter than heck. But got it done 👌👌
Is a catch can recommended for a 2019 ram 1500 V6? I see them all the time for older rams or 5.7 hemi's. Thanks.

Yeah I noticed it afterwards and fixed it.
Does it matter to cut the hose or just leave it how they come?
I just left it. Always good to have a little extra.
Whats the benefit? I know it catches oil but to prevent what? Any performance improvement?
Mostly it helps keep the engine a little cleaner.
Which catch can is this
Do you like the Ram airflow?
Yeah I do
What’s the point. Hemi is not a direct injection motor.
It catches a lot of oil! I empty around every 1000 miles and it’s usually just under half full.

I was around 15K when I installed it.
