It shows great humility for Matt to even post this video. It also shows the rest of us and reminds us that no one is infallible, never over estimate your rigs ability!! Those recovery’s were still damn impressive!!
I love Rhett, "Not too many people know about it, and once you know about it you don't want to go back down there again." That was a little foreshadowing of the events of the day. I was seriously worried about Matt's health there for a bit, and sure glad Tom Tom and the Banana were OK. The Porsche was seriously not impressed by. The Bronco was incredible. Glad to see Kaulin come to the resuce. The best comment of the entire day was when Jaymie said to Rhett, what's our strategy going to be? and Rhett's reply, "I'm just going to floor it." What an awesome job, well done team. Amazing entertainment. Thank you for taking us along. Amazing camera work.
And WHY donut you have 4 big guys pushing the Porsche same time as it is being wenched? That is nearly all we had in old days was man power. Why doesn’t occur to all those standing around??
Best. Video. Yet. The most impressive part is how honest and humble Matt and the whole crew are. No one would know about this if he simply didn’t post. Instead, we have one of the longest videos full of both the good and the bad. This is the boldest demonstration of humility by such a great team of guys and girls.
was thinking the same thing. It will take a while for Matt to relize im sure but a lot of good came out of this. Plenty of learning experiences and obsticles they all had to fight through together. Not only was it an amazing episode, the whole crew learned so much. And my god what a healthy group of people both physically and mentally.
I was on the edge of my seat the entire video. Matt and his crew perform miracles almost every day but not this day. I was really concerned for Matt the way the heat was affecting him, I worried that he might have a heart attack. He is blessed to have sons that are capable, he has brought them up right.
I found it really impressive when Tom started yelling for help, cameras were immediately dropped in the sand & you all went running. Really shows you care about each other long before the show or the job.

AGREED!!!! I laughed, hysterically, when he said that!! Not a single episode of "The Survivor" series, can compare to this video!!!!😂 BTW: Who else considers this, a huge win, for the Bronco??
Can't wait to see the responses from Rory and Paul huge fan of you all, btw I'm not big in the sand but ohhhh matt do I know the struggles and defeat you were feeling 😂 I'm that guy that does the dumb victory lap and gets stuck himself lol
The bronco is a perfect rig for Jefe in my opinion. Both are kinda doofy, but underneath they are super trusty and will always show up and get the job done! 😂 The more i watch Jefe the more respect i gain for him, you really dont realize how much he does behind the scenes and what a solid dude he is. Same goes for his bronco, i was blown away when it romped right up the hill!
What a disaster! HILARIOUS! The best line was when Matt looked into the camera and said ..."this is what it's like to know me". They really are tenacious though. Greatest Ford commercial of all time or what?
This was painful to watch, and yet SO compelling, I couldn’t stop watching it. Thank you for being humble enough to show us your worst day in the most spectacular way.
I’m extremely impressed with how well the bronco did. Drive right up and probably would’ve gone all the way in one shot with no vehicles in the way. Super entertaining video Matt
I was 100% against the Broncos when they came out but honestly every time I see a video of one it leaves me astonished! They should name it the ford Billy goat.
Brings back memories from my time deployed in Afghanistan. We'd be recovering rigs like this once a week, sometimes over days at a time. Glad to see everyone still in decent spirits through your trials. Love your videos, thanks for sharing.
I love that when the fire started, Matt asked what kind of fire, really thinking ahead and making sure he doesn't make it worse. People make mistakes, but it's how you deal with mistakes that shows your character. Matt's a good man and leader.
Matt ate humble pie and smiled. Cheers man, not easy to admit you made a mistake. But we know you’re a good boss ‘cuz the team was happy to push on and finish the job. Bravo!
This is probably my favorite Matt’s video in years! 😂. Highlights all the things we love about Matt. 1) bad ideas, 2) woefully unprepared 3) no gas. 😂 Always love seeing these guys work through the problems. Great video team!!
LOL, I find the combination of Matt’s bravado and continued lack of preparation to be particularly agitating. I find myself yelling to the screen “Why?! Why haven’t you done the lockers in the Heavy Wrecker?! Why do the gas gauges still not work?!” But then I finish the video and hit Like. 🤣
Only thing we needed was TomTom to forget the keys and it would've been perfect! 😆 Poor guy.. he sacrificed his own flesh to keep the banana from burning down.. maybe Matt can forgive him for the whole forgetting the keys thing now 💥🔥🖐🏻🍌
this was the ABSOLUTE best video you guys have made. If I every saw a group keep their sense of humor, and keep going till they won, even when everything goes to hell, Matt's off road recovery is it.
@wildwheelsdarin I disagree with the idea they were in danger. If I heard them correctly they were about 2 miles from restaurants, stores, and their own garage. They had cell phones that worked, and the only person who seemed physically distressed was Matt, who looked like he was close to collapse from heat stroke after all the running up and down that very steep, and sandy hill. I will say he was right when he blamed hubris for taking everything down there with no plan B, but that's part of life. Leaders are seldom "perfect". I do think this was a wonderful example of leader who made an error, and when he realized it, owned it and stated frequently that it was his fault, instead of blaming others, the vehicles, etc. He then worked harder than anyone to get them out. I also think how the group reacted says a lot about the type of person he is. Rather than blaming him, whining, and expecting someone else to fix things, he has the loyalty and friendship of his wife, his kids, his employees, and his best friend, who all helped and contributed to an ultimately successful outcome for everybody, They are all a very admirable group of people.
This comment is so late for the party, but at 52 mins, THAT is why soft shackles are a much safer option than steel hardware in _most_ situations, particularly in situation which are pushing the limits. What a crazy adventure though... Well edited, entertaining from beginning to end, and so relatable! Well done y'all.
Wow that Bronco is impressive! Can't wait for part 2, the wrecker recovery! The Banana was toughing it out like a champ, and the Morrvair just showed everyone why its the top dog... MVP for sure. Those Porsche guys had an awesome attitude and a sweet rig, great video! Thanks!
I love Matt's flying by the seat-of-his-pants attitude. A man with true humility able to admit that it was an adventure gone wrong. Still, got everyone home safe, one of the most epic videos MORR has ever done.
I agree. It's one of the things I love about this channel. Lots of comments complaining that he puts people in danger, but deep down he knows his equipment and what might fail, he knows the heat, he knows this sand trap, and I'm sure he was prepared to make a call if there was any real emergency. But, it wasn't so planned out that it was too easy, and obviously not staged like so many other channels do.
You brought yourself voluntarily into a situation not knowing it would test your limits more than you would have thought. You also tested your physical and mental limits. You failed with a lot but kept on trying and never gave up. You guys rock. Thx for teaching us how to not give up. Cheers from Germany.
He failed because he has the dedication of a puppy who cannot finish a SINGLE vehicle. gas gauges that don't work, tanks NEVER full, batteries half dead, lockers broken, A/C that don't blow cold in 110+ temps, etc. Don't glorify his complete lack of being responsible with his equipment. He set the stage for this massive failure with his habitual lack of care for his rigs. EVERY one of them. You watch, this Looooong series of failures in one single day/event STILL will not be a wake-up call for him to get even ONE of his rigs fully functional and prepared.
@@lothre I see what your saying but it’s entertainment and wouldn’t this be a little boring if everything went right? Went down the hill, came up the hill…You gotta leave something along the way that causes enticement into the story such as oh man it’s hot, there’s no ac, are they going to run out of gas?, is something going to break? That’s the fun of this channel. I think your looking to the wrong channel if you want perfect builds and boringly easy outcomes on every video.
@@lothre make your own show and show us how things work out if every little detail is prepared perfectly. And then show us how you would deal with failure. That would be the moment I could learn something from you. The only thing I learn from you right now is that you might blame others for your own fear of failing. Thank you.
Can we just take a second to appreciate the production quality and the awesome filming of this video! It's better than any TV shows about towing and recovery I've seen in the past. Great work MOŔR team!!!
The sincerity of Matt's "I'm sorry" when he is under the front of the car says a whole lot about the man ! He will get others out before he gets himself out. One day, when all the heat exhaustion, muscles aches and fatigue is over, you guys will have a great laugh about it ! Greetings from the Netherlands
The Morrvair proved today what an absolute beast it is! Matt you are only human, the fact that you are willing to let us all see this on camera just endears you to your fan all the more. Keep up the good work, we love ya!
for sure the dude is just solid in stressful situations. just like his dad. no way matt would have gotten any of the non recovery vehicles out without the help of his team.
I am a 61 year old retired Kindergarten teacher. I found myself grunting and pushing down to make the wrecker go up the hill. The tallest sand dune is Jockey’s Ridge. People fly hang-gliders off the back side. Over the year the dune is always different. It is in Nagshead N.C. It is now a national park.
I think this was one of the best videos Matt's Off Road put out so far. Two surprises were the Wreckers limitations and the Bronco's ability to just run up the hill so fast. Can't wait till the next show with The Wrecker recovery.
Matt is one to seek and find the limitations and store it in his memory bank for future necessity. I'd say Matt's limitation here was lack of preparedness.
In the team and most importantly Matt’s favour this was an awesome test of skills hear and resilience. Gear tested. Brain power tested. Body endurance tested and team work tested. The radios worked a treat. The cars and truck for the most part tested well. Solutions made and resources used. A win win win for everyone and we got to watch it all for, the comforts of our homes. Im happy also. 🤠👍🇦🇺
I have watched every video Matt has ever posted here on RUclips and that is the most stressed out I have ever seen him and his crew get. That sand trap is THE most difficult trail I have ever seen in all his adventures. Can't wait to see the Heavy Wrecker's rescue! Hope is goes easier for you guys.
Man, I know that feeling. When you are the senior guy on a job, and it's not going well. It happens to the best of us, so don't feel bad. You really showed your mettle by pushing on through, so great job in the end. Well done to the team as well for backing you up and working together to get it done. Time for a well-earned mountain dew.
I think what I gained from this video is actually how capable Jefe’s Bronco is at handling the sand hill. The Bronco was a beast. Squatch for the win! And Matt you may need to get Rory’s, Paul’s and Merlin’s wreckers involved to get the world’s largest wrecker out of that sand chute.
@@MrCaprinut Heavy D would probably just winch it in a straight line from the top (assuming their heavy wrecker doesn’t have to pass very sandy spots on the way from the road to the top).
The most amazing, and telling part of this video was the speed Matt took off on foot up that hill to help Tom when the battery was arcing. He’d been walking up and down there all day at that point yet covered a 100m faster than I could run on the flat. Yes he made a mistake taking everyone down there, but the reason they went with him is because he’s such a lovely bloke. Real legend.
@johnme7049 or die trying, and they know he would! Lead from the front, worked for me in the USMC, works with my employees now. I love seeing the greenhorn's face when I hop down in the muddy nasty trench in freshly pressed jeans and a white dress shirt to show them how to tie a knot! For me, it's just like, "Yeah, I know where I came from and I won't forget it!" (Then I get home and the wife rheems me a new one...lmao!)
Well the tenacity of you all is commendable! Got stuck one time something similar. It was out at the Salton Sea crossing what appeared to be a dry lake. Got about 50' into it and sank up to the frame. It was about a 100° and the ground was thick clay with a crusty salt layer. Between the heat, salt and time spent trying to get out we were all really having a Jesus moment. The nasty clay sucked up everything we had trying to get traction never to be seen again. The closest anything was about 15 miles. There was nothing to anchor to. Needless to say, important lessons were learned that day.
You know this kind of stuff isn't staged when there is an emergency (like with Tom yelling for help) when they put down the camera and full on sprint to help. Most creators either stage, or just want the content during an emergency and will still run the camera instead of helping out. This is why I love this channel. Genuine people showing us what they do for a living.
Jefe’s Bronco was impressive! I had doubts after seeing the banana and Morrvair. Porsche became dead weight, looked like a Subaru with no power (seemed too heavy for that hill). That sand combined with the elevation is brutal. What a grueling episode. Can’t wait for what’s in store for the Wrecker.
100% agree with that assessment. I wasn't a fan of the Bronco but when I saw it take off I was like ok hold on a minute lol. That Porsche was just a big fancy anchor after a while.
I wonder if he Bronco was in sand mode, or he disabled everything? He commented he could disable all settings but am thinking the sand mode helped it perform
@@zgdafzgdaf4264 probably and with the fat tires, lockers, hp/torque; everything worked perfectly. It was a frustrating episode to watch, I can only imagine what Matt and everyone was feeling.
“So if you want to see it; that’s where you go” 😂😂 best closure ever. Glad that all of you are good and safe. It’s always interesting to see how team dynamics works under Matt leadership… pure legend
Ford continues to blow my mind. The 3.5 EcoBoost was an absolute machine that performed well for Baja. Now the Bronco is out here doing some pretty impressive stuff.
After seeing so many broken and broken down Bronco's on RUclips, it's good to see they have a strength. Apparently, Ford had this hill in mind when they designed it. It was commendable how everyone stayed so cool-headed considering the long string of failures. A truly epic video. Too bad Lizzy wasn't there to see it.
Wow! This was something to watch! As a fellow Wildtrak owner, I loved that the bronco did so well. I could see how concerned everyone was with the situation and I appreciate how everyone worked together to figure it out. I can’t wait to see what you do about the wrecker!
I can wholeheartedly say that this has been one of my favourite Matt’s video yet. They tried to create a fun afternoon and successfully created an incredible video showcasing everyone’s strengths and weaknesses. Very cool seeing all of Matt’s kids and people adding to the “Rescue” in their own way
I have a feeling that Rhett is going to be one of Matt's best drivers very shortly. He seems to be quite enthusiastic about it, and seems to know what he is doing at a very young age.
I have been watching this channel For years and without a doubt, I think that was the best MORR video ever! It takes a big man to voluntarily and publicly take his lumps. Good on you Matt and the entire crew! That was amazing. Once again showing why this is the best channel on RUclips.
I have to say I am very impressed with how good the Bronco did. I was expecting it to stop way before it got to the Porsche. This was pure teamwork from start to finish. Good job gang!
I'm not a Ford guy but Jeffe and his Bronco were stellar going up that hill. Pretty amazing and a good testimony to the Bronco drove up that hill in one try when even the Morrvair and Banana took multiple tries
I am genuinely impressed with how well the Bronco did. I wonder if it has something to do with the transmission having 10 gears. Probably keeps the engine in a better rpm range.
It's a combination of the 10 speed transmission and factory turbocharging. It gives the engine a huge, flat torque curve, and the transmission does a fantastic job of keeping it right in the middle of it.
This is the number one rescue video you guys have ever recorded. Diligence, tenacity and never gave up. Matt's off-road recovery is absolutely the best RUclips channel ever!!
I agree. And I've been telling my gf, that this should be on tv. Matt's off road is absolutely the best thing I've ever seen, I'm in my late 30s and I wish my grandfather was alive to enjoy all of this. Very wholesome, entertaining and educational
I’m impressed with the editing. Or even more so on your patience. For once I could literally see Matt at the end of his rope. Proud of you men and Jamie!!
@@gymshoe8862 I agree, he is just 10 years younger than I and I have been in his shoes more time than I would like to admit. He was acting like exhaustion was past the danger point.
To be fair to the Porsche, that hill is probably one of the hardest spots to self-recover from or just get out in general. Although, for it being an off-road model, they need to make the torque split 50/50 or have an adjustable transfer case for situations like this.
Matt, feel free to ignore advice from a retired MD, but I was part of a working group at our plant and dug up the continuity of business plan section for emergency response vehicles which I thought I would share. 1. Every plant vehicle is equipped with the following. Military style trauma kit, 20lb Dry chem fire extinguisher, an addition Purple K extinguisher. LED emergency lighting (includes rescue beacon), and a minor tool kit. Every 90 days each truck is inspected mechanically (long list) and fuel additive is added when fueling. Batteries are replaced annually during the yearly fluid change routine. Decca batteries are used due to their heavier construction specs and I believe that all CAT vehicles also now use Decca which are made at a state of the art plant in PA (Got a tour once with the continuity group). The only other thing I found that might be of interest is that all vehicles have their electrical connectors sealed with a Motorcraft product to prevent corrosion. Thought you might use a couple of these ideas since you take it to the limits which is so, so enjoyable. Good luck and continued success.
Tom is an absolute BOSS for calling for help there and everyone responded promptly. I knew that battery was going to be trouble 😢 overall this video was some amazing combination of doing boneheaded things but being total professionals dealing with it 😊😎
TomTom, "Some of us should build a shelter and some of us should look for food" made me laugh out loud. Paul and Rory cameos! Matt and team; your videos just get better and better. Thank you for showing that even the "Best" can get themselves in to a pickle on the trails. 🙃
yeah , i think they got a bit tunnel-visioned. i'm sure it was because they all quickly realized the D 💩 E 💩 💩 E 💩💩💩 P - ness of the situation , and even tho it was 9am they wanted *_OUT_* by sundown ; but i'd have called for more water + food sooner , especially considering they were IN cel svc. & it was _SO_ nearby !
@@rythemzlatin- there were a lot more more people there in the end then when they started. Would have been nice if a junior scouting troop pulled up in a few Subaru's and offered to get them out. Tied their bandanas together and repelled down with folding war surplus shovels...
I know Matt felt really bad for getting everyone in this mess - although, holy cow... what a master class of recovery methods in an imposable situation and conditions. This video turn out to ne one of your best Matt. The entire crew should be proud on how well everyone calmly worked together like the pros they are. (How about that Bronco for the win - we need the specs again) Ford needs to sponsor Jefe off-roading with his Bronco.
Can't even comment on that. It just confirms our attitude that if anything can go wrong it will so we prepare for the worst and take about twice (or 3x) the equipment we think we'll need and a couple of times we've used it all. I think the best advice for everyone is to be sure your vehicles are in the best condition possible. This will probably be something everyone will remember for a long time and than Heavens you all got out.
Not going to lie I thought it was going to do the worst and just behind the porsche due to power differences but ended up absolutely killing it and doing the best
The Bronco did great, but it befitted from the Banana and the Porsche grading the Wreckers ruts flat. The Banana would have done better if it wasn't for the Wreckers front wheel holes it got stuck in.
Wow. This was a heavy episode. The Bronco did really good. And I still get goosebumps from the sound of the Morrvair, what a beast. Let's see how the HW gets out.
WOW What an experience! The best part is you never stop from learning new things and skills! Congratulations for completing that task and the Bronco proofs it’s a great vehicle!
How'd everyone sleep that night? 😁 Greatest MORR upload. I laughed, gasped, and had such sympathy for you folks as I watched the day collapse in on itself. Everyone really dug deep that day and showed their resiliency. Deep respect to the crew.
This is quite possible the best video you a your crew have ever made Matt. It gives a sense of what some of your customers go through before needing to call you. It showed how small mechanical issues can spoil your day and it shows how experience is something you get in both good and bad situations. Keep up the great work 👍🏻👍🏻🇮🇪
Yeah it was an hour and I could not quit watching. It was as real as it gets. Kinda reminds me of some of the sh*t shows I've been in the middle of myself.
As frustrating as this trip must have been, I am sure it was an amazing learning experience for everyone there. The important part is that everyone made it out of there unharmed. For a while there, it looked like Matt was suffering from some severe exhaustion and I was truly worried about him and everyone else there for a bit. Other than that it was a great video and getting the wrecker out will make for another one as well. Seems like there's going to be a lot of planning needed but I believe they will come up with a solution. Good luck guys!
Honestly I think this was a very good thing to happen. Shows no matter how much experience you have things happen. And was a very good experience to learn a few things for the less experienced members
Even though you might have thought you made a mistake going down there, remember that's why we watch this to learn from others' mishaps and how to help ourselves in these situations. This was fun to watch. I felt for you in that heat.
For real, it doesn't matter what terrain you are trying to tackle, when stuff goes wrong, you need to be well prepared. In this video we saw broken winches, dead batteries, low fuel, snapped soft shackles, broken air lines, overheating, fires, dead computers. It got me going through a checklist in my head; how many spare shackles do I carry (2 hard shackles), Spare fuel (sometimes), fire extinguisher (never), water (always), food rations (always), etc... And most importantly, which we didn't see in the video, not to say they didn't do it, but when things start going to hell, to step away, make a plan and communicate that plan. Go through it all one by one. 9 hours in on this rescue, emotions are running high, people are stressed, there are a lot of moving parts. The situation is ripe for something catastrophic to happen. That all being said, such an adventure and a really good watch.
Obviously you have never driven in a medium like sand or even perhaps snow to understand what these vehicles are actually capable of. I personally feel you should apologize to Matt and his team for a slanderous comment like calling his equipment "old junk vehicles". I tried to find humor in your comment but can't find it where none exists.
That was brutal. I’ve been in situations where you’re just bone tired and everything has gone wrong, and the only thing you can do is to just keep going. This was that X10. The heat, sand, and the crazy steep grade. Just glad no one was hurt and hopefully the vehicles didn’t get broken too seriously. Rhett and the Bronco won the day.
Just like dang ol' TV, I was on the edge of my cliff when the call to Rory rang out, Rory reacted, looked up, and then the dreaded 'COMMERCIAL I CANNOT SKIP!!!!!' came on LOL!!
@samuelorozco255 yes. Rudy, Rhett, Kaulin and Karter I believe. That was what Google said. I think Rudy is from a previous relationship than Jamie. They all seem to be pretty respectable kids. In my opinion anyways; I was smashing mailboxes, egging houses and getting into fights at their age.
Thanks so much for posting this video, everyone, what a trial of persistence. All while retaining your civility throughout the day. As a solo desert explorer, this was a lesson in everything that could go wrong. A real eye opener for sure. 😳
So this is just a thought. There is a guy that does off road recovery in Florida, I think. He uses a sand anchor for winching. It looks like a boat anchor, but modified. And it digs into the sand and he uses it as an anchor point for winching.
Can just imagine how hard that day must have been. I would like to see the bronco go down again and take that complete hill in one try. Great work guys!
Stopping in the middle then casually driving off from a dead stop on the side was impressive enough. Thats a serious machine! Those other rigs got 37 and larger, Crazy that stock truck is that good
Sometimes the greatest blunders and worst decisions make the greatest memories and life experiences.. well done to all involved. Respect from Ireland..
I am genuinely impressed at how Jefe and the Bronco just shot right up the trail. I was getting ready for another halfway getting stuck and winching, like the Banana, but at no point did the Bronco need assistance from another rig.
@@cedricpomerleau5586I thought the banana and Morevaire both had functional lockers? I thought the only ones that didn’t were the wrecker due to them being broken and the Porsche due to not having them as options.
@@mizinoinovermyhead.7523 When they talk about lockers on the Banana and Morrvair they talk about hubs locker. I don't remember hearing them talk about diff lockers on those, but it's true that looking at the video, they appear to have them. EDIT: Ok after some research: it appears that both diff lockers are limited slip on the Morrvair (Detroit style in the front, not sure about the exact style in the back). So there's no way to fully automatically lock them unlike in the Bronco.
I know this had to be a very stressful day with lots of regret about the decision to take all the rigs down there at once. But, you've got to admit this is peak content. I was invested every second of the video. Also nice job to the whole crew working through this in a calm collected manner.
Also, could you ask for better preperation for the guys doing the trip in the Porsche? The Darién Gap ain't no joke.. Most sucessful expiditions basically carry their cars/bikes for the worst few miles over the toughest terrain..
All I can say is this is definitely a 4WD recovery channel, not a “I can drive up a big sand hill” channel, you have delivered on your content as promised and supplied the viewers with awesome entertainment, invaluable recovery techniques and problems solving strategies. I’m not convinced that if most made it or just made it, that the video would be anywhere as good. Great work team!

BTW: Who else considers this, a huge win, for the Bronco??
Rhett is just killing it lately. Great job using the turbo boost.
I'm very impressed with the strides that Rhett has made and one day he will outdo his father!

Massive confidence boost for Jefe with the Bronco, that thing powered on up the hill!
I gained major respect for the Bronco after this video, wow.
honestly the Bronco surprised me
I think they need a yellow Bronco!
I'm a Toyota man but I'm curious about the Bronco now!
What a disaster! HILARIOUS! The best line was when Matt looked into the camera and said ..."this is what it's like to know me". They really are tenacious though. Greatest Ford commercial of all time or what?
Only because there were no Toyotas present 😉
We never know our limits until we exceed them. Matt and team learned a LOT on this trip. Thanks for taking us along.
I love Jefe's humbleness + optimism and the Bronco turned out to have done an excellent job. What a win for Jefe & Ford there. 🙂
This was painful to watch, and yet SO compelling, I couldn’t stop watching it. Thank you for being humble enough to show us your worst day in the most spectacular way.
I reallly admire matt and his crew of how humble they are. Not afraid to try things and make mistakes but to keep trying. Inspiring.

It was impressive. I bet the 392 Wrangler would've made it no problem as well. Wheel speed and less weight are key in that situation.

Really cool to see Rett growing into the offroad recovery life, he is gonna be a good man for this crew.
Gonna be?? He already has been for more than a year now.
You can tell how exhausted they all are but yet they’re keeping great attitudes. You guys are awesome.

What a nerve wrecking experience ! Well done to Jefe and the Bronco. His mods really paid off and proved to be quite a capable rig.

The morrvair never disappoints but the bronco was definitely the win of the day as far as making it look easy.
The Wrangler (rental jeep lol) and the Bronco did great.

Except it was Matt who put them all in danger... lol
Rather than blaming him, whining, and expecting someone else to fix things, he has the loyalty and friendship of his wife, his kids, his employees, and his best friend, who all helped and contributed to an ultimately successful outcome for everybody,
They are all a very admirable group of people.
This comment is so late for the party, but at 52 mins, THAT is why soft shackles are a much safer option than steel hardware in _most_ situations, particularly in situation which are pushing the limits.

It didn't go wrong. It just didn't go as expected. It only goes wrong if someone gets injured
Humility? It was Matt's pride that put people in danger in the first place! I'm glad his ego took a hit. Maybe he learned a lesson.

Too bad Lizzy wasn't there to see it.

im not surprised. I've seen a video of bronco V/S jeep. and the bronco had to keep pulling the jeep out from being stuck.
It's a combination of the 10 speed transmission and factory turbocharging. It gives the engine a huge, flat torque curve, and the transmission does a fantastic job of keeping it right in the middle of it.

One data point that has to be considered is if the Milestar XT tires are better tires for the sand, compared to the MT.
The Bronco did great, but it befitted from the Banana and the Porsche grading the Wreckers ruts flat. The Banana would have done better if it wasn't for the Wreckers front wheel holes it got stuck in.

I give you credit for just putting it out and not being totally embarrassed by one flaw after the other😂.

? wow ,
Thanks so much for posting this video, everyone, what a trial of persistence.
Yeah for sure. The bronco was a surprise.
@@rodm5830 i mean those things got like a 10 speed tranny ? Thats why, it kept itself in power the whole time
Stopping in the middle then casually driving off from a dead stop on the side was impressive enough.
Thats a serious machine!
Those other rigs got 37 and larger, Crazy that stock truck is that good
Totally surprised...Jeffe had to stomp on the brakes to not smash into the Cayenne!!@@rodm5830
I was Thinking the same thing. I feel like those broncos are made for these quick runs in the sand and not so much for rocks and stuff.
Sometimes the greatest blunders and worst decisions make the greatest memories and life experiences.. well done to all involved. Respect from Ireland..
I believe it is OJT. It was not all for naught. Those coming behind him (Matt) got the learning experience they will need moving forward.
I am genuinely impressed at how Jefe and the Bronco just shot right up the trail. I was getting ready for another halfway getting stuck and winching, like the Banana, but at no point did the Bronco need assistance from another rig.
Because it's a Ford. Was impressed the Bronco.
@@brucescott4753 The answer is lockers, it was the only rig with functioning lockers down there.
@@cedricpomerleau5586I thought the banana and Morevaire both had functional lockers? I thought the only ones that didn’t were the wrecker due to them being broken and the Porsche due to not having them as options.
@@mizinoinovermyhead.7523it means with 100% functional lockers
@@mizinoinovermyhead.7523 When they talk about lockers on the Banana and Morrvair they talk about hubs locker. I don't remember hearing them talk about diff lockers on those, but it's true that looking at the video, they appear to have them.
EDIT: Ok after some research: it appears that both diff lockers are limited slip on the Morrvair (Detroit style in the front, not sure about the exact style in the back). So there's no way to fully automatically lock them unlike in the Bronco.
If you never fail, you don't know your limits and weaknesses. Awesome job Matt and team.
That Bronco was super impressive. Looks like it was coming all the way out first try. Part 2 Heavy Wrecker recovery is going to be epic!!!
That's what sets this channel apart. Why I used to laugh at the engineers complaining about his builds. Matt and crew don't talk it, they LIVE it.
That's pretty cool that Christopher Michaels was driving the VinWiki Porsche!
Thank you for watching MrCveedud!
EPIC VIDEO Matt & Crew! I bet you guys learned a lot from this expedition and are better from it! 35:24 I felt a surge of excitement and inspiration seeing Jefe & Jaymie charging in the Bronco up that dune !!! Way to represent the Bronco community Jefe ! 🐎
