To whoever is edititing this video, fantastic job! I watched the whole thing, and wasn't the slightest bit bored. The cuts to different missions were perfect. The focus on the job was perfect. And shout out to the cinematographers and drone pilots, and of course Matt, who put this team together and sets the standards. This is one of the most entertaining rescue channels in the world. Databyter
My thoughts exactly. Editing and camera people were of professional broadcast quality.
Couldn't agree more. The drone shots are terrific too!
@@iridium8341 I thought that was actually useful and informative.
Definitely credit to the edit on this one!!!
I've been watching MORR videos for several years now and I can't think of a single video that didn't leave me wanting more. Weekend videos are my favorite because we get to see more action. Keep it up MORR!!!!
It's been a while since you had a difficult recovery. This one is probably in your top ten most difficult. Nice job.
So many people in so many triangles of death, one guy got clotheslined on a rubble slope and kept his footing (and his neck) luckily. Matt was so tired at the end partly due to the stress of managing such a complex operation, plus the deep knowledge that more than one tenet of safety was broken that day. I've made mistakes and just hope no one gets hurt, not judging
@@phlanjo the triangle of death is not really relevant too much with the rope winches, its not a ZERO issue, just not nearly as dangerous.
@caryserack873 but they also use kinetic ropes as extensions and around trees. And that significantly increases the issue
Peanut didnt think so!
Big issue if the vehicle lands on you 😎
Thank you for cleaning up all the debris left over from this wreck. That's going above and beyond. This wilderness area is a better place for you and your crew having been there.
Moving recovery job! Great co operation by crew!
Matt's living the dream. He's doing rewarding work, out in the fresh air, with a beautiful view, with a great handpicked team, with nobody unpleasant barking orders or spreading negativity, with his spunky and gorgeous wife bringing food to celebrate once the job is done. Honestly, what more can a man ask for?
He could ask for more Corvairs?
Spunky?😅
What I want to know is who are these people who complain about every little thing you do and why are they watching? You keep doing you, Matt, because the rest of us love you for it! 👍
Miserable soul suckers don’t mind them they are insufferable
Says the person who is complaining about others.
Lol
People who've watched Trail Mater earlier in the day and know what doing it right usually looks like. 😆
@@K3NnY_Gthen they can shut up and watch trail mater
Gives them something to do.
it's a huge upgrade to have the drone footage on rescues like this!!
A couple of doggie cams would really show how steep and rocky the cliffs are. Great video.
I believe this was one of the best recovery videos yet. Amazing maneuverability around those rocks. This is what the wrecker was designed and built for! Outstanding job guys and gals!👍
I used to live in Mesquite Nevada and these shows remind me a lot of the endless times I spent in the Arizona Strip. The landscape of Southern Utah, Nevada and Arizona can be quite alluring and beautiful. Even though I'm in the Sierra Nevada's of California I'd still could be Very Happy in Southern Utah.
Speaking of the recovery aspect here, my grandmother died out in the Arizona Strip because my grandfather tried to drive a Grand Marquis from Mesquite NV to St. George UT the back way on dirt roads ( a 60 mile route that only a good 4WD should be on ). Yes, clearly he had No business being out there with that type of vehicle and to me it's clear he must've been having cognitive problems. If I remember correctly it was in February so it's usually pretty cold at that time. It's a long story but once they got stuck my grandpa eventually went to look for help, even if they had a cell phone there's usually no reception out there or least there didn't use to be. My grandmother was found laying on the ground outside the car and had succumbed to the elements by the time any help arrived. I don't think my grandpa ever wanted to live again after that and it was only 6 months or so afterwards that he passed away.
This was an awesome showcase for what the wrecker is capable of. You guys used almost all of its bells and whistles for this recovery. But the rear steer was definitely the hero at the end of the day.
Agreed. It’s overkill for most jobs, but this was one of the first jobs to flex its capabilities. Multi-winch, Side-winch, rear-steer, narrow-body, field-welding, cool-looking, etc. all the hyphens! WOW!
Yep I was thinking the exact same thing. This job appears to be exactly what the wrecker was built for. Probably one of my favorite recoveries to watch.
Not gotten all the way through but nevermind the end of the day, he wouldn't have gotten near the job without it.
If I ever win the lottery I'm deff trying to replicate the wrecker.. tho maybe not as a wrecker😶
❤
To me the best part is watching Matt leads the crew. Never a raised voice, no ego, just plain good management and wonderful attitude. General kindness is shown at all times. Kudos.
Semper Gumbi!!
Especially when you consider these are extremely stressful and incredibly dangerous operations. I bet he is plenty terrified often, but works hard not to show it. Or... To cleverly edit that stuff out
He also has a very good team, which he knows and trust
Damn good leader of people!
Yup still search through all the episodes to see if Matt ever gets mad, still nothing... thumbs up!!
@@robertdonatucci4934he did get mad in one where he almost got stuck in sand
It amazes me how well you planned ahead and built the WLORW to exactly fit through the skinny bend on this trail. Makes it 11% better to watch! 👍
Cheers!
I just felt a disturbance in The Force....almost like a million Rory fans crying out "TRAILMATER WOULD HAVE DONE BE....T.....T.......E........R......."
I just recently found your channel after watching the joint recovery between you and Dave Sparks. This is the first video I've seen of your tow truck really in action and I'll be honest, this would be nearly impossible for any other rig. First, just getting a tow truck up that trail is impressive enough, but working on that tiny shelf road and all of the off angles that you had to pull is mind blowing. Having the side winches was genius! Wiley Coyote would even be impressed.
Peanut's dedication to Matt is heartwarming. At the start of the episode she was staring at him in the truck.
Peanut is number one employee
A very critical member of the MORR team! 😊
Matt, This has got to be one of the best all time recovery videos. Great work by the whole team.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Rory has a couple just like this..
The mountain side makes you work for it
Just found your channel. I was a recovery mechanic in the army for 14 years back east in PA and now I live in Santaquin. This is about to be my favorite channel!
Living in South Africa, we have similar open spaces, to which we sometimes escape for recreational pleasure and sometimes pain, when we come undone. We don't ever need to extract ourselves from snow with crawlers because we only have snowfall in highlying mountain peaks, where one of the few roads on a mountain is San Pass which until perhaps 10 years ago didn't even have blacktop, where snowfall sometimes makes the road impassible and the local Basuthu tribesmen use ponies to get about. I thoroughly enjoy your channel and all the inserts. I've lost track of the rebuild on the little yellow Suzuki SJ410. Love it when Lady and Peanut join you on missions. I gather that you and your crew are all people of faith as I've never heard crude language. Keep up the good work and strength to you and your crew.
Probably the most technically difficult recoveries I've seen you do. The (still unnamed) wrecker performed admirably. This recovery shows why you built it the way you did. Thanks for the great video!
It’s definitely named.
W.L.O.R.W or Worlds Largest Off Road Wrecker. 😉
It doesn’t roll off the tongue quite like Banana or MORRvair though.
I still think it should be called the "M.O.R.T. - H.A.W.G." Matt's Off Road Towing - Heavy A** Wreck Grabber .@@Crewsy
I'm still stumping for "BoomBoom"@@BluCappy419
Since another viewer said they "aced it in spades", maybe they should call it the Ace of Spades.
This is what the off road wrecker was built for!!! Awesome engineering and thoughts put into this build. You used just about every option you had built into the truck! 4 wheel steer, welder, side winches great job love the videos. I had to do a really tough recovery very recently but I got it done with some things I learned from you Matt!
Hats off to you and your team. This recovery shows how beneficial the heavy wrecker is and congratulations to you for creating such a vehicle. We have done a few recoveries in our time in New Zealand so we can appreciate how much effort went into this one. Working as a team is so important. Love the scenery in your videos. Thank you.
You are great ! and your country is incredible you are very lucky to have the right to have fun like this! well done from France!!🤠🤠🤠
Wow - This must be the hardest recovery you have shown us in a long time. Thanks for bringing us along!
This was seriously impressive work. Having seen in person how big that wrecker is, holy cow. Top notch skills on display squeezing in and out of this one.
Thanks for this. This is the type of You Tube that attracted me and kept me. I hope the rescue videos continue.
Great job! That RZR stood up to the fall pretty well. It's still almost the same shape!
Huge pucker moments. Great job keeping everyone safe during the job!
Wow, most impressive recovery!! that looked hard!! You definitely have a hard-working crew Matt!!!
Great people , great scenery , dramatic footage, and all with great good humor & never a bad word. Brilliant TV. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've been watching this channel a while and I'd have to say that was one of the gnarliest, and most complicated recoveries I've seen you guys and galls do! Love this channel, keep up the good work
I know this was a hard rescue for you Matt, but I gotta say, it's in these situations that you are at your best. It is a joy to watch you solve issues as they arise. Well Done!!!!
THAT is what the wrecker was built for - I really enjoyed watching this episode
That was exhausting to watch. Crazy recovery! Unbelievable work
EDITING!!!! The editing is great...
Such an amazing crew you have assembled here Matt. I freaking love it.
Bro as an operations hazmat specialist, I appreciate you sweeping the area for any materials that had fallen off. Way to go Matt!!
As a retired production foreman and firefighter, I applaud the clear division of labor. Teams set to specific tasks to accomplish the overall strategy and objective. A pleasure to watch as always!!❤
I Like To Watch You Work.Stay Humble.Stay Prayerful.
Man that was a crazy recovery. The pucker factor with that big wrecker on that small trail had to be intense.
This was an awesome display of Matt’s thought process as well as his trust and understanding of his team and machines!
It was also a display of extreme recklessness.
@@stefan514please load up your rig and video how you could’ve done it any better.
@stefan514 make a video of how you would do it
Seeing as how the wheels on the uphill side of the Razr were off the ground much of the time, I'm thinking hauling it up with the two good wheels on the DOWNHILL side would have made wheely-ing it uphill a lot easier and faster.
This is one of the most impressive/exciting recoveries I've seen. Your wrecker is phenomenal with it's rear steering and rock crawling abilities. I can't imagine another crew accomplishing this without air support of a large helicopter. What an adventure and team! Thanks for taking us along.
You guys are having too much fun. Fascinating watching this recovery and the dogs helping as well. A job well done.
Teamwork and professionalism of you and your staff is exemplary! Good job.
Just a thought. If you could carry a cordless roto hammer with say a 1" bit, a few turn in concrete anchors with a eye attached you could make almost infinite attachment points. Large rock surfaces everywhere. With the "screw in" type fasteners you could remove them after with little footprint. A bit easier than always having to find a tree.
This is something i've been thinking of several times, why not just have a drill and anchor bolt.. ?
Anything to keep in mind is they posted video footage of moving a rock out of the way and the government sent them up there to put it back. Not sure about where they can do what but I'd bet they would get a bunch of trouble for damaging the rocks on a lot of the places they go
@@sweet65mustang
Yea but the rock out of the way was a problem, if the rock wasn't there the trail was excessive by vehicles that wasn't supposed to be there.
An anchor bolt in a rock to get a vehicle out of the nature is probably easier to get happening.
@@sweet65mustang
(And pardon me for my spellings, I'am from northern Sweden 😅 )
That was some fantastic work by the whole crew of Matt's recovery team. Great job everyone!
34:07 the same can be said watching the recovery. At the edge of my seat, a real nail biter! Good job!
Amazingly difficult recovery! You guys are an amazing team. I've done some sketchy stuff off-road, but this makes my stuff look tame. Great entertainment, and I'm glad everyone made it out safe.
You have to do this because of the challenge. There just isn’t enough money to compensate all those folks for all that effort. Thanks for taking us along. It was a blast. My compliments to all.
I like how Jayme has some more confidence driving and dragging on rocks because of having Kaitlin (a competitive rock crawler). Will we see more Jayme and Kaitlyn adventures? I hope so! ❤
Yes, and doing the 2 wheel drive challenge when she used to question Matt about it. Now she has the confidence to attempt stuff.
Since they converted, so far ,the Tangerine into a "Crawler" I thought it's be great for them to team up,and Katelynn could teach Jamie some techniques, and they'd share some vids.(We don't want her to show us All the tips and up their competition though)
All of the different cameras, drone footage, and editing make watching these adventures / recoveries very enjoyable.
Love watching the team work on these precarious, technically complex recoveries!!
Toughest recovery yet--nicely done guys !!!!
Not only a very skilled recovery. I absolutely love, and I respect you all taking the time to clean up, instead of leaving the smaller pieces in the mountain.
Hope everyone is taking care.
Amazing recovery in terrible conditions. And you cleaned the mountain. You guys are the best and it's fun watching. I'm now a fan!
Happy New Year Kids!!! Love your channel. I’m an old Tri-5 Chevy guy myself. Watching you save these old Chevys and give them a new life makes me very happy!! Keep up your great work!!!
This video had me on the edge along with my blood pressure. Matt's abilities never cease to amaze me. What a job! Congratulations to everyone!
GOOD JOB EVERYBODY!!!, what an amazing crew you got there. making it happen. this is some serious recovery work you guys just ACED!
You all done a fantastic job on the recovery of the razer. The best no one got hurt. God bless you all. Amen Amen Amen ❤🎉❤🎉
Absolutely amazing recovery 😮!
Definitely my favorite yet!!
Certainly one of the most difficult, dangerous and technical recoveries I've ever seen, WELL DONE THAT MORR TEAM THERE.
I'm always blown away by the backdrops you guys have. We have mountains and good hiking here in Maine but there is just something about that unobstructed view you have back west.
Great video guys! Appreciate you vulnerability sharing the reality of life on the road.
Great video. Throw a few short pieces of light angle iron in your welding kit. If you need to patch something back together on the trail, butt weld it as you did then scabbing a piece of angle along the sides is magnitudes stronger than just butt welding it. Clamping a scab on with several hose clamps is surprisingly strong if you don't abuse it too bad.
True fact.
We call it a splint. Like on a broken leg. Especially helpful for emergency patch-ups.
This was an amazing job and it took about Matt's whole crew to recover this Razor but they got'em out! The Biggest wrecker is so awesome! Well done to Jaymie, Jefe, Rhett, KatetLynn and the rest of the crew. Beautiful scenery and this trail was very challenging!
Just Wow! Incredible recovery, nail-biting drama, fantastic video footage, and some excellent narration from Colby, all in one video. Great Job, guys and gals!
Impressive!! I enjoy the technical recoveries.
Great recovery folks!
This was the most frightening rescue I have seen you do! Great team work! Nerves of steel.
Wow! What a recovery! Great teamwork getting everything handled safely...although there were a few really sketchy moments. Matt, that wrecker is an absolute BEAST! And your driving skills are amazing. To navigate that big rig through such narrow passages was mind boggling. The rear steer and extra side winches saved the day. You guys are amazing! Love your channel. Stay safe out there...
Yeah, pretty much everything Travis said! This recovery felt like the exact reason Matt conceived and the team built this Rig. I can imagine how much more difficult this might have been trying to bring in the MORRvair, the Banana and maybe another rig to accomplish the same job. Well done all around. Just wish Jeffe didn't try to give me a heart attack while he stayed in the drop zone behind the Rzr. :)
Wow! Those big rocks going down gave some perspective on what that razor went through!!!
Man that was a awesome recovery. You have some amazing talented friends
That is one amazing piece of machinery you've built, Matt.
I used to live in Hurricane years ago. My back yard bordered the cemetery. The last week of October i took my sons into M.O.R.R. we got some stickers and a tour of the yard. It was awesome what they have going on. Wish I could do something like this.
What an incredible recovery guys great job
That Wrecker is just amazing! And so are the operators.
That was an amazing recovery. You and your team really showed your worth on this one. Great job.
That was a tough one. There were times where it felt like the crew was a bit too close to the danger zone for my liking, but its not like I could see a lot of options. Glad you got the job done safely!
Excellent recovery there ! Job well done !
Kudos to all of you for a job well done on a very difficult recovery!
15:59 Very clever using the drone to see and control the pull❤
One of the best demonstrations for the use of drones. Having a "little scout, eye in the sky" is immensely useful in a lot of outdoor activities,
WOW. Everybody is safe, what a cliff hanger. Great job from a great team with a great leader. Stay safe
Hard insane recovery! Great job to all!
Wow. That was an amazing job. Doing this kind of thing would be hard enough with all of the space in the world. And good job capturing everything to tell the story.
So much excitement and tension in this episode. Very impressive puzzle y'all put together there. You obviously had a big extra hand watching over you all with the risks and questionable links to unknown stability. And nothing with tires should ever be in certain parts of this world. Pretty sure this area is one of those. Much respect to you all.
The rear steer made all that possible! Awesome recovery guys, and its one of the reasons why I started watching this channel! Also happy that everyone stayed safe and healthy.
Matt, what was the cost of this recovery? 2500 ?? Great job on a shelf road.
Love watching you all
I love the technical videos (builds and recoveries) and watching the wrecker do what it was made to do in every way shape and form is truly an enjoyable watch! Oh, good job too!
I love the family approach to your work 😊
Matt.
I believe you've found the elixir for Eternal Youth and it's awesome that wether you know it or not you're teaching a many good lessons to many people.
To do something you like, are good at and effects other's in a positive way should be the place we all are reaching for.

This video is worthy of an Academy Award! It is suspenseful, dramatic, all the elements! The camera work and editing are on a par with the best I've seen. Well done!
Great video. Good job to you and your team for getting that Razor off the mountain. I really like when you use the additional side wenches. Using those angles really is a savior for what you do and gives you a little more confidence in the gear. That wrecker is just awesome!
I love your videos. Helps me learn how to self rescue from the hairy situations ive gotten myself into in the Oregon Outback and mountains. I hope I dont jinx myself but so far ive been adequately prepared and never had to call for help (crosses fingers).
The drone made some really nice perspective and scenery shots.
One of the best recovery I've seen! Great job!
Good recovery on a dangerous situation.
Matt is the man! I've never seen any recovery of this magnitude! What a great team!👍
A very skilled bit of recovery there, guys. How long did it actually take. It looked like hours in real time
40 minutes each way for food/bags/water, another 40 minutes to get those items, then the time before and the time after, and the sun is low in the end of the video, so yeah at least 5 hours is my guess.
The better part of the day
I really enjoyed this episode 👍🏻 Road & drone shots w music. Tight passages, nice rear axle steering and good teamwork. Happy the mishaps turned out well 😅
I absolutely love your channel and oftentimes find myself jumping down that RUclips rabbit hole, wich is Matt's off road recovery.
I am fascinated by the situations that y'all find yourselves in and would love to know more of the back story on some of these recoveries. This one is a perfect example. How did that sxs end up over the edge with no one in it? There had to be a story there. I don't know, maybe its just me, but don't things ever just make ya go Hmmmm?
Great recovery. Jamie looks awesome in the Jeep.
That was pretty crazy. Glad nobody got hurt and it's all good!
As others have said an awesome recovery! The team work and creativity among your crew is impressive, and the video capture and editing was top-notch. There certainly were a few 🙄scary moments though! Nancy was watching this one over my shoulder and she thought your teen son showing up at lunchtime was predictable! I will sit back and watch this one again!
Super video and a very good and dangeres job done.
Matt, you're right CrMo, it's a bit different to weld.
Your repair skit is missing a good strong small torch, in Germany, say soldering flame. Plus some ceramic wool.
Contact thermometer. Heat to approx. 250°C - 480°F, weld, heat the welding point to red-hot (600°C - 1120°F), insulate and then wait a good hour, then this welding point will also hold. Sure, it costs time and money, but you are also keeping your own people safe and that is the most important thing. Greetings from Frankfurt
a masterpiece of offroad recovery. Very well done !!!
