That is perfect, I have heard some people that the commenting that the mechanic or dealer also recommended changing the fuel pump and injectors, which I think is a total ripoff. A friend of mine that adds a quart or two of diesel to the fuel tank during long trips and that helps him to get more miles per gallon. I also have added a quart of diesel as upper cylinder lubricant to my 1970 Camaro.
This car has almost 300 miles. Since I did work on it I did not change the fuel filter because the fuel filter and the fuel pump is one symbol that is non serviceable. This is the 2nd one I fixed that this has happened to. The 1st one is still running just as good. The lady did not have the extra 350 for a fuel pump/fuel filter. I cleaned it as best as I could and we sent it and it's been doing good.
What am I missing here? Why use a pump and 5 gallon can to put fuel in the tank, when you can just pour the gas in? I have never seen someone do that, we just open the gas cap, stick the nozzle or a funnel in it and pour.

If my 1979 Ford F150 sets around for a while I will add a quart of diesel fuel to it. Just to help lubricate everything when it runs again.
