We love echo friendly ink
This game was insane. So much back and forth. Thanks for having me!
Really wanted to see Eruth be able to storm off. All those stax pieces though. Saw Eruth and immediately started building it. Was happy to see it at the table.
When you guys killed the construct with the mayhem devil trigger it was actually a 2/2 not a 1/1 sue to counting seat of the synod as well as itself.
Facebreaker only triggers once, see clause “whenever one or more” combat damage occurs simultaneously
Thank you so much Mike and Zack for running games with me! You guys were super cool and I had a great time! Hope to see you all at a future cedh event.
Thank you! It was a great time!
Man, you're good! Hope to see more games with you
When the Chalice is away, the 0-cost artifacts come out to play.
Love to see a win that creative! What a game that was too!
I was glad to see Eruth finally in one of your games, but Josh was unable to do much in this game with all the stax pieces on the board. Great showing for Urza though! Awesome content as always! Keep it up!
That was the silliest way I've ever seen Urza win!
Huzzah!
"I put laughter on the stack."
"It resolves."
"Ha ha ha"
Great Urza piloting Matt!
Thank you!
I feel like this is the first time I've seen urza actually win a cedh game so happy!!
I love how this is the first comment I see when coming to this video! 🙃
@@FailOwlProductions urza was my first cedh deck and most games with him on RUclips do not go his way lol
Neither did this one 😅. Turn 1 chalice on 0 made me cry some big boy tears LOL. We won somehow tho
@@WallyballGang lmao yea you're right!! Completely forgot about how much that chalice hurt
I saw that hesitated , why not what the hell dab lol nice
The deflecting swat was hella cool
An awesome game! I love the decks in this match.
That was a really cool win! Great game.
You guys missed a Mayhem Devil trigger when Kevin sacrificed Tana, even if the commander went to the command zone, it was still sacrificed, and the Mayhem Devil would've triggered and killed Kevin before the effect resolved.
11:52
Using Pod to sac Tana should have triggered Mayhem Devil, which could have been dealt the last 1 damage to finish off Kevin.
Both mayhem devils should have died to Blast Zone.
So keen for that Urza list to drop 👀
Urza list has been added!

Great game! Thanks PWP 🥳
Mike's playmat its wild af🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
GG everyone ,nice win matt , love to see combat
T damage wins
After turn 2-3 I did not see that ending coming!😮
Rip a single storm deck vs 3 stax decks 😂
LETS GO MATT THATS MY BOY
❤️
Great game!
Great Game !
A very nice win from Urza, but im actually a bit suprised, that the win wasn t instant. I thought with access to his whole library there would be an extra turn spell to emediatly attack or so.
There’s no need to dilute your deck with those kind of spells. Urza himself is an infinite mana outlet. All you have to do is bounce the board, play all your stax pieces and recast urza a bunch of times to get infinite constructs. There’s no way your opponents are going to win through that. There are other wincons like the dual scepter loop which you can use to make infinite swans or time twisters. In this case Matt used a variant of that through timespiral.
@@frankkor605 correct :)
@@frankkor605 okay just thought it might be dangerous to let your oponents untap once with all their lands, especially when Urzas infinit mana wont work at instant speed so you cant loop counters
@@WiiTara all players have 0 cards in hand, no nonbasics will untap, and even if they do draw a good spell and can cast it I have infinite counter magic with my deck full again. It's impossible for them to do anything
@@WallyballGang okay, than you for the explanation :)
Greeeeat game!
Super excited to see Urza. Sidebar will you guys be at Magic 30 this year???
Gameplay was awesome
Thanks!
Thank you for playing Boros :0 it great CEDH that doesn't get the love it needs :) Im hardcore CEDH Boros for Life. @_@ A Brother of the Legion we are!!!
That was a very convoluted urza win.
Winconless decks usually do that type of thing. Twister Loops and Infinite Swans. This minimizes the amount of "dead" cards in the deck.
God I love Urza!
am i wrong? blast zone should of destroyed the clone vehicle version of mayhem devil since it is also a 3 drop due to being a clone.
I was thinking the same thing.
Yeah, I was looking through the comments to see if anyone else noticed. I was quite confused
So when someone says they have a “layered combo” what exactly do they mean.
I assume its a combo where a number a different cards all have intersections with each other creating multiple layer for the combo to operate on
Where that a redundant and overlapping combo pieces. E.g. Hullbreaker combos with any of the 0cmc rocks. Or there are different ways to put together a pod line to win. So if one piece gets stopped, you can keep going.
Threat assessment was dubious. The second they knew Matt had hullbreaker horror, they all needed to focus him down. Interesting game nonetheless.
it feels like kevin forgot that giver of runes can not protect herself
Would you guys make a video again somethimes where you play budget CEDH deck with a price limit like 500 €? I think it is very intrestink and fun because not every body can afford the expensive Card.
I always wonder why urza decks with tyrants in play do the swan song thing when they can just repeat the 0 drop loop while already having infinite mana to bounce and recast urza over and over again and get infinite constructs. Way more flavorful than birds imo
Birb
Ethersworn cannonist would have stopped the cast of so many spells if they caught it
blast zone should have killed also the devil copy from urza, that was relevant for the pod player. Overall nice game :)
i suppose thats why after that point there was only one mayhem devil trigger instead of two whenever treasures were sacrificed
Cool game, but like a very convoluted way for urza to win.
Yeah if I wasn't running polytyrant I'd have ran thasa's Oracle. But that win was a typical win for a poly tyrant list
Thassas oracle is a brick unless your winning. So are cards like walking ballista. This combo plays 0 dead cards and still wins the game. It helps keep the card quality in my deck high without worrying about bad cards like thassa that do nothing unless I've already won the game
Death by ducks
Urza wins are always so convoluted.
Doesn't professional facebreaker only make 1 treasure since it says 1 or more creatures deal combat damage?
If it said one or more players, it would only create one treasure. It works like Tymna.
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG Got it. Thanks for the clarification!
how do i get in on these?
What are your thoughts about the new Jhoira?
Too early to tell. Initial thoughts are underwhelming. Dodge some countermagic, but realistically you're just putting a 2 drop artifact on the battlefield.
Games like this show me that those comments from casual players saying “oh if I had all the expensive cards I could make a cedh deck” are basically bs because there’s no way they can figure out this line. Cedh really is a mindset
has blood pod been renamed to meta pod?
Blood pod was the originally 5c mainly blue stax deck meta pod is the 4 c non blue stax deck
mê cái gia đình này quá
is this the same list mike won punt city with?
It was tweaked slightly, but this is the general list, yes.
Honest rules question: why did aven mindcensor limit the Winota trigger to top 4? Winota doesn't search; it just looks at the top 6 cards.
Winota wasn't stopped. Thalia's Lancers was.
Why didn't Kevin play Tymna & pod for Felider into Kiki? He could have won on his turn unless I'm missing something here...
Did Ryan just dab on us 👀
.... maybe.
Okay bird win>>>>most other wins
Doesn’t face breaker say one OR MORE creatures? You guys gave him an additional treasure every time.
you get one per player hit
I don’t understand the thought process of the players not teaming up on an Urza when they know too well it gets out of hand pretty fast.
Urza wasn't the threat at the time. Kevin was in the lead.
@@jackpabich763 but after kevin’s threat was taken under control, they shouldve focused on urza instead of spreading damage.
The deck is called Meta Pod... does it know Harden?
In the discord where the cedh decklist database is discussed, the second iteration of the deck is the Butterfree
Wait why counter the drannith after you saw the player to your left tutor for a removal spell
:D fun
10:38 This situation is a bit unclear to me. Did Blast Zone resolve before Opposition Agent was cast? The animation makes it look like it, but the narration doesn't ever actually say Blast Zone resolved, and in the footage I see Opposition Agent sitting next to Kevin's other 3-drop permanents.
Yooooo
How am I so early
Why did giver of runes die when it had protection from red to counter the mayhem devil damage?
How did it have pro red?
Giver cannot give itself protection. You may be thinking of Mother of Runes.
So as a fellow Urza Player I understand his finishing line as it is a good one. But I see a quicker route of just capesizing everyone's permanents to their hands then if anyone floats mana to go down the shuffle their hands away route. If no one responds I just cast Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and plus and win. Am I wrong for using this line?
Edit: I was rooting for th Urza player and I don't think any way of winning is wrong. I just like my way more than others.

Interesting how blood pod couldn’t win even when two of his opponents had terrible hands. Really shows how bad the deck is
