no I like halo reach tip of the spear oveture and then halo 3 defference to darkness and menagire as well as a couple halo 2 ones and a surprising amount of halo 4
Deference for Darkness has captured my heart when I was a teen, and even now, almost 12 years later at 26 am moved by the music of ODST, god bless honest production with heart, soul, and free reign creativity to match, a masterpiece, I pray one day we get something close to what this team was able to create for us.
Lord I'm still pissed by how they punked Rookie, killed my motivation for getting any more Halo novels instantaneously. Destroyed a perfect opportunity to have the players feel something by having him be the character hunting the Chief, or even if they Necrod Six from the ambiguous grave a better story could have been told. SO MUCH wasted potential! SO many better connections and greater storytelling eliminated!
@@S501Airborne Yeah.I felt so bad.He survived alone against the Covenant multiple times just to simply die like this.He would make one hell of a spartan.Rest in piece Rookie :(
Not sure I'd go quite that far. ODST wasn't the strongest Halo game and quite a few of the classic COD games were top notch back in the day. So it's preference really.
@@alphabet2238 Understandable, but for a lot of people, myself included, ODST is a favourite of the Halo franchise, not just the FPS genre. ODST wasn't really a full game, and the campaign was short, but given they produced it in around one year, that's pretty damn impressive if I say so myself. It had a fantastic atmosphere, vastly different from the previous games, great soundtrack, and great new characters. Perhaps my only gripe would be that because it was built off of Halo 3, and in such a short time frame, the ODSTs felt a little too strong (likely because they were technically just remodelled Spartans). If we judge it for what it is, which was a campaign addon for Halo 3, and compare it to other Halo campaigns, its a strong candidate. I certainly have a lot of love for some of the classic COD campaigns - the Modern Warfare franchise was great the whole way through, and Black Ops was great for the first few games, but neither hold a candle to the story of Halo in my opinion. Call of Duty was a strong arcade shooter seated in reality (when compared to other arcade shoots that took a far more sci-fi approach), with a multiplayer focus supported by an action packed campaign. Halo had its own success with its arcade multiplayer, albeit of a very different playstyle to Call of Duty, but lets not pretend that its story can compare. The narrative of Halo has always been a primary focus of the franchise, at least whilst Bungie held the reins, and something that runs continuously through every game.
Does nobody notice in the odst's helmet it looks like a skull instead of well..a human head as you'd expect. the eyes look hollow and empty and the teeth look sharp, odd.
"You know the music, time to dance."
Anyone else think Skyline is one of, if not the best composed music for all of Halo, or is that just me?
Its not ghosts of reach tho
Just you, lol jk
I agree
Can't we just all agree that any halo soundtrack made by bungie is fire
