You've certainly improved over the past couple of years in terms of originality, but your ability to make animation feel natural and satisfying was never in question. Looking forward to the next episode.

This scene looks like it's going to be a flashback of sorts. Maybe explaining how Shadow ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom. Also I'm hoping this means that Rouge and Omega got sent there too. I can't remember the last time I've seen them used in a sprite animation. Whatever happens, I'm just excited to see this episode whenever it comes out. You're doing great work Smashinity.

So now we’ve got full detail on how Team Dark made it to Mario’s world. Cool!
If Shadow ended up jumping to the conclusion that Sonic activated the Phantom Ruby instead of Metal Sonic, then that would be a nice twist. Can’t wait to see more previews soon!

2. r we ever gonna see sonic and shadow work together against mecha sonic because they all lookin for the chaos emeralds
It woulda been more logic to make the robot at the start, being a shadow android.
as shadow despices them and wouldn't Bash a random bot that much, also it just adds more character to him :)
