Good vid. But from having just got my 2001 et4 going from being In a shed for a good 7 years here are my thoughts.
Bear in mind guys Robot is running a repair shop so generally the whole “replace not repair” strategy is in place. So on the subject of the carb; if the diaphragm is ok (as was in this vid) then generally the carb will be ok after a simple clean, the same with the fuel tap. Both these parts on mine were still serviceable. Fuel pipe is easy to replace and tank easy to clean.
If you do have a perished diaphragm or the carb has blocked pathways (even after a sonic clean perhaps) then sure replace.
If you are on more of a budget though, those new Keihin carbs are quite expensive, maybe half of what you payed for the scoot. £150ish here in uk and more in the USA. An alternative to consider is a generic Chinese GY6 carb. I’ve not used them personally but have heard good things. They can be bought new for as little as £15! So worth a punt. Just make sure the specs are the same, inlet and outlet size, jets etc. I bought a cheap gy6 repair kit for my et4 original carb when I lost the air mix screw and it was a direct replacement.
    Take care.

Been there, done that a few times. The LX carb upgrade is a no brainer and saves a lot of headache.

I love your videos. I have 2 Et4 150, this model. Both bought 2nd hand with about 20,000kms. I have bought alot of parts off you the last few years simply coz you put out these videos. It's not so much because you saved me alot of money but it's just fun to work on these scooters and it's now a hobby. I run around in Piaggio fly150ie's and have these Vespa et4 150 to show off on Sundays. Thanks for the video. I want to visit your shop one day, hopefully next year and say hello and grab a few parts whilst I'm there. One of my Et4 150 still has a Walbro carb, still going fine and the other has a Keihin bought from you. The one with the Keihin has a bit more zip.Greetings from Australia.

Bought my 2001 et4 at van nuys Vespa. At the time the only Vespa dealership in the US. It gets serviced by 🤖’s techs.

That old scoot certainly has mare charm and character than the new models. Sounds like it good get a bit expensive to bring up to standards the further you look into it, tho.

Compared to a px , access looks like a nightmare. I can't understand why in recent years they got rid of all the things that made a scooter better than a motorcycle, spare wheel etc.😊

Are throttle bodies a thing for these modern classics?

That would require fuel injection, which is an ECU, sensors and a lot of wiring.
