Lol, just last night I commented on Goosebumps Completionists' video saying I was gonna til you did a review to say a bit more about the book and here it is. And I typed that before I got to the ending of this video lol. This book is undeniably over complicated and weird, and some people don't like it but i liked it for that. I like how the pieces are clearly set up early on, and I like the thought put into some of the lore. It mostly feels like one of the better thought out ones. Some stuff is a bit odd, like a certain part lifted some Star Wars but otherwise I like this one, and it even has a kind of nice ending. Since you have the reprint, I should point out the original back blurb had a typo that the reprint fixed. (The original said "used to lived", the reprint fixes that)
Yeah, I saw that comment, when I saw the video get uploaded on his channel! Hahah. I agree with everything you said, man. Very odd read, but a very solid, enjoyably warm (and cold) one hahah.
Your not the only one having a hard time!!!! 2021 may be a better year for me!!!! I slowed down too!!! I want to start a RUclips channel for book reviews.... and mountain biking!!! Lol 😆
I didn’t know whether to get “Beware the snowman” cause it kinda looked like a cheesy kid’s book but because of your high rating I decided to buy it ☺️ And yes, I did enjoy this!! ❄️ I loooved the winter wonderland scenery the book was set in… it reminded me of Canada, where I was raised, and Finland, where I had lived- both snowy cold and beautiful countries. But unfortunately what I didn’t like about the book was the ending, which I obviously will not mention here 😊 it didn’t work for me at all, I was expecting something different/better, it kind of ruined the book for me😓 but that still doesn’t make it a bad book overall :) thank you for the video!
One of the first books I ever read, and it still remains in my top 10, I even made a clay sculpture on the snowman! Might even like it more than the abominable snowman
Had a pretty stressful evening, but being able to watch this review and Michaels up beat attitude has helped greatly. I also really enjoyed this book! God Bless.
It's funny, because Beware the Snowman was the first Goosebumps book I read years back. I think this book is better than people say it is. I should do a review myself, haven't done one on that book yet.
@@MichaelGoosebumpsFan I’m seem to remember to look at the book cover when I was a kid and I thought it’s looks cool but I didn’t read until years later it’s a good memory.
@@stevenchavez7214 That’s exactly what I was just telling someone else, in the comments section hahah. I loved the cover, as a kid, but I’m surprised I didn’t read it. Always looked like my kind of book hahaha.
This was one of the books I attempted to read in the 90s but because I didn't reading.... I said come onnnnn episode. Nice. I was going to mention the Star Wars reference. A few pages later I stopped. It was a funny moment.
@@MichaelGoosebumpsFan I was one that was good but... Monster Blood was the one who wouldn't let me go. Figurative speaking. If actual... I would have died as a 9 year old. xD

I thought you'd like this book after I mentioned it. It was the only Goosebumps story that made me cry at the end, the ending really reminded me of the Jack Frost movie with Michael Keaton when Conrad revealed himself at the last couple pages. Very heartwarming in my opinion. :') The Star Wars reference was kinda cheesy though. XD Sorry you've been slammed at work recently, hope you have a merry Christmas this Thursday and Friday, God Bless! :)
I didn’t even think of the comparison to Jack Frost! Love that movie so much! Lol. Thank you, dude! I hope you have a great day, and a merry Christmas! God bless you!
Hahaha! Sorry, pal! It’s been so hectic, between my usual Christmas movie intake, work, and everything. I got on a bit of a David Lynch kick, recently, and watched two of his movies I hadn’t seen before (longer movies, too, so they took some of my free time up).
@@greedydee1244 Both were firsts for me. Blue Velvet and then Mulholland Drive. Blue Velvet was okay, I didn’t really know if I liked it or not, but, MAN, Mulholland Drive was excellent! The more I think about it, the more I loved it (aside from the constant nudity). I’ve always been a major fan of Eraserhead, and think it’s the scariest movies I’ve ever watched, but Mulholland Drive was a class act work hahah.
Just finished reading “Beware, the Snowman”. I really enjoyed this one! The atmosphere descriptions, and the eerie superstition stories about the snowman were spooky. The winter setting and snow definitely added some spice to the story. The characters were entertaining & fun. I liked the ending, I thought it worked well. I wasn’t sure who to trust. Overall I thought it was a great book. Thanks for another great review dude! 🙏🏼📖
Hey mike great informative video. You are hitting all the non love original 62 without a tv episode haha It is a good book and not sure why it does not get the props
Yeah, I was actually thinking recently about how I hadn’t reviewed an episode of the show in forever hahah. Must be because I haven’t been reading books with actual episodes! Hahah. And agreed! It’s a solid book! I’d love to see an episode of this, someday.
I believe someone told me that a while back, when I read it, but I disliked it so much I don’t think I even remembered it having anything to do with Christmas hahaha.
This one is decent at parts . It’s got a really good lore based storytelling but the ending needed to split up so it didn’t all rush at once. It’s overall decent
@@MichaelGoosebumpsFan I'm happy too see it getting some love!was glad Goosebumps Completionist gave it a good rating too, tho it does gave it problems, I think the good outweigh the bad
Overall a great read! I loved the plot, setting, mystery, buildup, etc. The sense of mystery was simply masterful! The only thing that really sucked in my opinion was the ending. No spoilers, but I was pretty disappointed. But most other things were amazing and make this book an easy recommendation. 4/5 Stars!
Hi there! My other channel I mainly use as a secondary is called Strange Michael.
