you forgot to save your dinks into a chest, if you die in the mine, you loose much of them ...
and you can pick up the chests there, if they are empty - they have same store-capaticy, but looks much better than standarts

I would prefer using torch in deep mines, i can bring 500 torch. And i can place it every 10 meters. That usefull to track back my way back to elevator without seeing maps.

    Okay.
    Gidday from an Australian.
Here is what things are called.
The dog things you get meat from are called Dingos. They are Australian native wild dogs.
The fire breathing animals are based on a marsupial called the Tasmanian Devil. They are viscious little bastards (but the real ones don't shoot fire balls out of their mouths, thankfully).
    The "alligators" are actually Crockodiles.
    Snail things are fossils.
Anyway, just thought I would let you know. Most of the Americans that I have watch play this game are clueless to my country and its strange animals.

If you hold spinifex resin in your inventory it will recharge your mining helmet so you only ever need one

I just use the motorcycle headlight as my source of light down there. Works great imo

wow that entrance tip on the map was really useful. torturous when I'm using a pickaxe and mining all around it with a horrible field of vision

For the people who don't have the flash light or head lamp you can still make torches with Mangrove sticks. They're good back up lights if you need it..

thats super good to know! once you go in the deep mines once I think your set on the head lamps! You can find so many down there

Or you could use candle hat. Never runs out the light and not using your inventory slot at all.

You can also place the mangrove torches on the ground. I always bring like 200 with me and place them along my way

@@producersean i do the same ... and so i can better find my path back to the elevator and i even know, where i was exploring ... i have no "candle-hat" now - but i think, i will mark my way also, when i got the candle ...

Bleh it took me forever to finally get a miners helmet (lucky enough the chest I found it in, had 2 in it). After I did I started finding 4-8 ruby per run. I tried doing runs with the motor bike but just keep bouncing off every thing so I quit bringing that thing with me. I must say once you unlock the jackhammer it is like a whole new game down there. I like the kabobs more than cooked meat. Croco meat is awesome just for the health boost. For straight up energy I like large cooked eggs. Wattle Brew is amazing, never go mining without that! Start a wattle farm asap! I don't even bother with the bats anymore. They rarely hit me as much as I move around. Must be out of date, those rooms with the chests in them let mobs in just fine. I've had bats follow me in all the time. If you get into the later game, crab pots are amazing for getting keys fast. Fossils (those snail things) sell for as much as a ruby I think. Depends on weight. They seem to be well worth grabbing.

You only get 3 waddle things off the bushes as well as the bottled red ones only 3 not 4 or 5

I think your carrying too much variety of food. I would recommend Wattle Brew, Bottled Brush in brew and bread in food. Croc meat is good too. Also Flaming Bat is better than the spear in the Mines. d

I actually havent used the flaming bat in the deep mines! Good idea!!!

bread is too expensive, make sugar-bread for selling to the "ship-dealer"
