Great video. I was wondering about this line, ever since you gave a great review of their balancing face mist. Soo glad to know that their brightening products are not strong enough to help with hyperpigmentation for skin of color. I am probably #5 on the Fitzpatrick scale and when I scar or have hyperpigmentation, it truly lasts for months and sometimes years. I am learning to make wise choices when purchasing products for my skin and overall health. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Byoma seems like a pretty good brand. I bought the face mist and the jelly cleanser after Abbey Yung recommended it and loved them. Their cleansing balm was a fail though. The serums seem really nice

Love your suggestions and your formulations. I’m awaiting your body sunscreen, eye cream, Collagen gel shorts and most importantly your pregnancy kit for face and body to explode in the market.
I also heard you talking about the need for Antioxidants to our scalp and using the Dr. V Antioxidant Serum on our scalp. Can you make a video on how to apply it and how to use in conjunction with your other haircare products for it to be effective and avoid build up on the scalp.
Or maybe even be the first one to make a seperate antioxidant serum for the scalp that could reach every corner of the scalp easily with a fluid consistency and a specific packaging that could cater easy apllication on the scalp.

Thanks to dr V, I’ve finally built a hyperpigmentation routine with drugstore products that actually works for me! (2 months in)

@@LadyBug-pp6fr I’ve been using 4 components mainly, a Tranexamic acid serum from the Inkey list, Kojic acid from Derma Co, Alpha Arbutin and Ascorbyl glucoside from the Ordinary, (the vit C suspension works better but 2 months of use gave me some irritation). Sometimes I use a mandelic acid serum, max twice a week. Yes its a lot but it makes me very happy that my skin finally looks decent without red spots or dark patches.

Hi Dr.V Im a person with combination skin and i have pimples and comedone issues and is it okay to use 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide cream and 1% Salicylic Acid gel(PM) in alternate days .

I am wondering the same about ceramides / peptites (as I tend to apply mostly creams containing ceramides rather than peptites....)
I’ve been using the gel moisturizer for a bit now and love the niacinamide in it! I’m a fair olive toned lady and I’m prone to hyperpigmentation and I’ve read niacinamide is good for helping reduce it. I’ve been using MD acne wash bc it has salicylic acid but recently found out they’ve been doing shady stuff to their products. Thinking maybe I can switch to the byoma jelly cleanser

I think she addressed this in her hair range videos. I believe she said oil on the scalp basically feeds the bacteria growing there and contributes to dandruff, irritation/inflammation and clogged pores.

Hey Dr V I would love to know about any brightening lotions that would actually work. I went to use it all over my body but want something that would also lighten dark knees and elbows etc. to be specific I’m not trying to bleach but brighten and even out my body tone. I’ve seen Byoma bring out a brightening body lotion. Idk if this would work or you would recommend something else. I’ve seen friends try to lighten and even out skin tone with lotions but they are harsh and they end up getting stretch marks when nothing it weight gain or loss has change, pimples and hyperpigmentation pimples and over etc and I really don’t want to result to those, as they are so harsh my friends have to stay out of the sun. I just want to know the ideal products that would cause this. Right now I just use a hyaluronic acid lotion either Cerave or advanced clinicals brand. And try to use serums to target these dark knees and uneven body skin tone which don’t work really, as they are made for the face and small therefore running out quicker. But it would be easier to have a safe large body lotion. I really do hope you reply. Thank you😊

Your content is very helpful especially as I have dark skin!❤ I've been watching you for over a year and since then I have been thinking of starting a skincare routine for hyperpigmentation. However, I am still confused after researching and watching a lot of videos. Could you help me or make a video on this? First of all, could you review Revox products? It's very affordable and where I live it's starting to replace Ordinary products. Such as I can't find Ordinary's Arbutin anymore but Revox's Arbutin can be found everywhere. Is this brand as good as Ordinary?
Also, I am confused about which products to really use. I would like to use Arbutin, Vitamin C and tranexamic acid for hyperpigmentation as you recommend. But you also recommend retinol. How can I also add retinol into the routine as after using 3 active agents it won't penetrate the skin? Or should I use it at all?
Look for her past videos. Some products like retinol you would use at night and alpha arbutin and vitamin C maybe in the day. Again check her previous videos.
