I trust this woman with my life 🙈😂, discovered her recently, I’ve been using her range of products for Oily prone skin for 6 weeks already. As I have a busy lifestyle forgot to track and document my skin but still stick to the routine as recommended, but recently I started getting compliments from a few people of how good my skin is looking. I remember with the first compliment I was at work and run to the toilet to check my face in the mirror 😂. I’m very grateful 🙏🏾 of what she does for our skin of colour community

Hello Dr, I would like to let you know that BOJ Sun Relief & Probiotics is not a sunburn relief cream it’s a chemical sunscreen PA 50++++ and it is now my absolute favourite face sunscreen still - 4 tubes later. It feels just like a moisturiser & with my very sensitive skin I can use it around my eyes with no irritation. Love love love this product and recommend it to everyone ❤

Yeah correct, BOJ Sun Relief is sunscreen. Don't know why she misunderstood it.
I love this brand. I love their probiotics sunscreen. Perhaps the only sunscreen I don't mind using and reapplying everyday. Their deep glow serum is amazing too. It has rice extracts, Niacinamide and 2% alpha arbutin which leaves your skin with a brilliant glow.

I’ve been following her religious for years now - but I’ve come to realise that ever since she started releasing products, a lot of her content is pushing them whilst contradicting previous recommendations. I’d love to use her products but the price range is crazy (for India especially)! So I’m now forced to skimp through these videos, to exact moments and skip all her line of products reccos.

I noticed the same thing. Also, I saw a video where she says min spf 50 for POC but then in the next video she is pushing live tinted spf which is just spf 20 (but is owned by an Indian American influencer turned entrepreneur), so now I don’t know!!!
A lot of her opinions on skincare ingredients are contradictory. I used to follow her in 2020 and found a lot of fear mongering. She has a video on non-comedogenic moisturizers for SOC where she claimed there the Cerave moisturizer is non comedogenic but when I looked through the inci list several of the ingredients that she’s claims are comedogenic not recommended for SOC were in the moisturizer!
I think she tries to provide as many options as possible even if she doesn’t agree with every ingredient in a product. Of course she prefers her own products over others if I made products I would think mine is the best too 😂. Skincare is very individual base. Get the information you need. Experiment with products then find what works for you. 😊 you don’t have to follow everything a person suggest.
It's impossible for her to price her stuff like multi billion dollar corporations who can buy Ingredients in large quantities for cheap.
This is one of my favourite brands, I have used pretty much every product. My faves are the red bean mask, sunscreen, deep glow serum, propolis serum, dynasty cream and the sheet masks. I find that they are very good quality and never cause irritation to my skin.

Hi! (Your underarm issue)..I'm not an expert on skincare, but I was using the solid deodorant (white stick) and that was happening to me, I switched to a clear gel one. It took awhile (few months), but the darkness disappeared. Just a suggestion. 😊

BoJ eye cream is 0.2% retinaldehyde. I use it on my forehead and neck since they can't tolerate the 0.05% tretinoin I use on the rest of my face.
This brand is my Holy Grail! I keep going back to their dynasty cream, glow deep serum, and cleansing oil. I have extremely sensitive skin and it broke out with the glow serum, I have always wondered why, and now I know the answer. Thank you Dr.V, love your reviews and looking forward to more reviews from Isntree, cosrx and I'm from.
Why didn't she say more about the Sun Relief Sunscreen? It is not an after sun treatment, it's an actual sunscreen! And it is a hybrid one. Would be very helpful to learn about different filters
And it contains no alcohol. But hey, she can’t possibly approve chemical sunscreen! Dear me.
It's actually pretty good and gentle on the skin. Especially if you live in a Tropical area

@@Justquitthebs possible there's two different versions. Was just looking online to buy it but ingredients have t-butyle alcohol so now im not too sure about it. Do you have tan skin or fair skin ( asking about white cast)?

Hi! Dr V fans❤ She reviewed the BOJ sunscreen on her best and worst spf 50 sunscreen for 2023. She said she likes it as a chemical sunscreen but remember she prefers mineral sunscreen. So for those of you that were curious about using the sun relief as a sunscreen…YES we can! Yay! LOL!
If you're dark skinned forget about this brand's sunscreen - leaves a cast...the stick particularly. For the amount we need to put on, the tube one is also an oily mess.
As a new HOJ user, this video is what ive been waiting for. So far, ive tried the Ginseng essense water and the sunscreen with rice probiotics and they suit really well with my dry/combi asian skin

I use the sun relief rice and probiotic as my sunscreen, it's SPF 50 PA ++++ which is the most recommended for our skin and I love the way it feels.
The eye cream has retinal at 2%. I started using it when I was doing tretinoin at .025% for a pretty close equivalency, but gentler on my eye, forehead and neck than the tret. I moved up to .05% tret and tried to move my forehead, neck and eye area up to at least .025% tret or 5% retinal, but found it noticeably drying. So back to using the 2% retinal eye cream for all those thin skin areas.
I just ordered the probiotic sun relief sunscreen and can't wait to try it. Also on order is the deep glow serum. I feel encouraged by hearing your review.
Please be careful, don't use retinol or bakuchiol around eyes. I tried to research it on RUclips and found a couple of eye doctors warning against it, I'm sure you can find the information, it can cause permanent dry eye disease, unfortunately
When you reviewed the sun relief product you said it was good for sunburn. Isn’t it also a sunscreen?

I am Latina with dry skin and mild rosacea. I loved the BoJ rice relief sunscreen and did not like the moist sun serum.
Alpha arbutin serum was great too for hyperpigmentation.

Beauty of joseon list 0.02% Retinal and 10% Ginseng extract in eye serum, which is technically a moisturizer comes in a huge bottle that would take years to finish just as eye serum, I use it all over by mixing it my etude soon jung hydro barrier moisturizer and that thing really works

The Sun Relief Rice and Probiotics, despite its name, isn't a post-exposure, sun-relief cream. It's actually a sunscreen.

Dr V would you consider making a hair range for oily sensitive scalps. Also i was wondering if the ingredient cocamidopropyl betaine causes skin allergies ?
The one she mentioned at 5.04, which she doesn't approve is actually a sunscreen serum. She mentions actual sunscreen at 6.08 (sun relief rice and probiotic) which she loves and is approved. So yes the sunscreen from this brand which went viral and is used by a lot of people is Dr. V approved.

Hi Dr V..thank you for all your skincare advice..i started using products siggested by you within my budgets and have notuce such an improvement with my skin..i have 3 auto immune illnesses and 1 of them is Sjogrens syndrome..it dehydrates the skin..affects my eyes and mouth..my face often is inflammed..i am using The Ordinary ramge of products and CeraVe moisturing cream and Sunscreen Sun relief by Beauty of Joseon..even my beauty therapist says my skin has improved so much..now all i need is some product to help with my extra dark under circles..i cannot afford your kit as yet..but im also not sure if its wise to use any strong products around my eyes since they are so sensitive..any advise on cheaper products thats in South Africa that you can recommend to help lighten my very dark under eyes

Retinol isn’t for teenagers. Early 20’s is when you start. Adapalene is probably the best to use if acne & it’s scars are present

I guess she is reading the wrong INCI list relative to the cleansing oil as there is no glycerin in it. INCI: Glycine Soja (soybean) oil, cetyl ethylhexanoate, sorbeth-30 tetraoleate, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, sorbitan sesquioleate, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, tocopherol, panax ginseng seed oil, ethylhexylglycerin, eclipta prostrata extract, panax ginseng root extract, melia azadirachta leaf extract, melia azadirachta flower extract, coccinia indica fruit extract, amber powder, moringa oleifera seed oil, solanummelongena (eggplant) fruit extract, curcuma longa (turmeric) root extract, ocimum sanctum leaf extract, corallina officinalis extract, bixa orellana seed oil, panax ginseng berry extract, panax ginseng root extract, butylene glycol, water, 1,2-hexanediol.

I have been listening to the tips of Dr. V and this video was a bit late already. I have purchased the Glow serum and I turned a blind eye on it because i thought it was not the product that started breaking me out again. I have used propolis and niacinamide before but i know that tea tree irritates my skin. I just learned that it has tea tree so now i understood why i kept breaking out. I have stopped it a week after purchasing because i understand my skin and when i break out, i know that i have used something that my skin doesn't like.
Oh.. you are wonderful… thanks for the product review…. I am planning to use this brands product.. but I am lost on the order in which we should use these products for anti aging and uneven skin tone . Would be great if you can give the order to use too .
