Will most likely try the rich cream and the barrier cream. Thank you again for a great video!! Many blessings!!!💖💖💖

Oh gosh first time is the worst, don't worry you'll make it through. Second time wasn't as bad but I was still immobile in bed with a fever for a day lol. Luckily I havebt had a third time yet *fingers crossed*

It’s quite nice, but you do need to make sure to replenish because it makes your face very clean. Thank you for such a complete Rundown of this brand. also I’ve also seen it in Target for those who are looking to purchase it.

So excited for this video! I've been eyeing byoma for a while, so very glad to have this for reference when I run out of my current stuff. Affordable, elegant moisturizers for dry skin, huzzah!
Yes!! Thank you!! Although I must admit, since I fell behind it was a week of Anua and Byoma lol (which turned out to be an absolutely marvelous combo, goodness!! 👀)
Loved the moisturizing gel cream as someone with oily acne prone skin! Pretty sure it helped keep me from damaging my barrier when I was starting off with actives. Gel creams are great for those of us who love that cream, but need it to be light because oil slick lol.
I’m so grateful for your reviews! You’ve got me reading labels now. I have a severe macadamia nut allergy and you’ve called it out on several occasions. It’s amazing how many good products contain that. Unfortunately, I can’t use those products now but Thank you, thank you, thank you! You really saved me there💙💙💙
Few months ago at Target, I fell hard for the Byoma pink and green bottle of sensitive skin body wash. I don't normally buy based on good product design. Okay, I do. Luckily, this time the inside lived up to the outside. Thanks to you, Alice I feel more confident in knowing which Byoma face products will work best for my mature skin - rather than because it's in a pretty purple bottle.
yay, was waiting for this! i overall love byoma and think it’s a great drugstore option to fill in the basics for my routine. obsessed with the milk toner and the purple moisturizer- i did have some problems with the pump so very excited to hear they’re working on that!!
That purple moisturizer has my attention for sure, especially since I'll be asking my dermatologist about switching to other treatments because right now I'm choosing between cystic acne and burning skin. It's fun over here lol

That’s such a good question! LG is more like a creamy serum to me (and I don’t use it during the day as it somewhat tints my skin, only while it’s on though). The Byoma is a cream for day or night use ☺️
Thank you Alice, great review! I’ve been loving the facial oil(it really does last sooo long) and planning on picking up the mist toner and the repair treatment, seems right up my alley😊I just saw they came out with lip oils and a lip mask that contains PHA🤔very interesting choice I wonder what you think?

Spent too much time wacking it upside to try to get the rest out 😅 But I am so hoping they really have fixed the pump! Disappointed you didnt try the clarifying serum its been a really nice gentle active for me
Hello Alice! 😃 I love their packaging - it's so cute! Byoma is at our local Shoppers Drug Mart (local drug store). I haven't tried anything from this brand yet, I just have so many other products to use, although I would like to try the new cleanser and milky toner. The moisturizing cream and the Barrier + Repair Treatment sound interesting - I prefer thicker creams. The body oil looks very thick - almost like castor oil (is the oil sticky? or leave a sticky feeling?). I will get around to trying these - just too cute looking not to. ❤ Have a lovely night! 🌸💮🌸
YES, the body oil does feel tacky on the skin. IMHO, I think very few people will really love it. Someone will because that’s how the world works, but WOOF, I did not like it lol
Thanks for the review. I wonder how the barrier repair treatment compares to the LRP Cicaplast Gel B5 Skin Protectant which is 21% glycerin, though the Byoma looks more elegant? HPR seems to wind up in eye products (like Drmtlgy), so maybe better for the eyes? So I see there's another body retinol (a serum) from Soft Services (which is at Sephora).
Ah wish I could help but I’ve only tried the old version (can compare those though: the LRP was waaay heavier!) yeah, I guess I can see it in eye care. I still find myself wishing it had more than some in vivo data though!
When I bought the milk cleanser I was stupid and didn’t do my research first. But since it’s pretty much amazing for my skin it ended well but moral of the story do your research :)
I was just going to order from ulta with a 20 percent off code they sent me. It expired so I refused!! 😂 but this helps keep those Byoma products on my radar since I need moisturizers.
They’re so stingy with the 20% off codes, bah! I will say though…the $3.50 off works with Byoma. Because of who I am as a person, I use that on separate pickup orders. $3.50 off a $50 order isn’t great, but keeping it close to $15 is as much as 23% off!
Thanks for the deep dive! I have been looking for a barrier cream that doesn't break me out. I have more of a combo skin type, but still acne/congestion prone. Do you think this could work, or is it really occlusive?
Combo skin is almost harder for me to guess at than oily since you really fall somewhere in the middle. My suspicion is: it MIGHT work for day use, but I’m certain it would work for evening use. It’s not too occlusive, but it does have some occlusive properties. Hope that helps!
I've been really happy with both the milky cleanser and milky toner - they're excellent! I have also previously enjoyed the gel cream. I've been sitting on a small minis set I got as a GWP from Ulta a while ago that has a couple of other items, including the rich cream. It's about to get warm here but I think I'll try the cream anyways since it's pretty small. I have two of the body care items - the body polish and hydrating body lotion. Of the 2, I prefer the lotion. The formula is quite nice and packs a punch but isn't heavy. It does have sort of a....sea scent. Like a scent you'd associate with a candle. It's not overpowering and doesn't stick around more than a few hours. I would rather it have been unscented, though. The body polish didn't impress me at all. I don't like how thin it is. I much prefer a more gritty body exfoliant.
Thank you for sharing! I’m with you on preferring a more gritty exfoliant. Have been disappointed many times there lol (and now pretty much stick to Kopari’s as I’m tired of feeling let down 🤣)
DIY cleansing oil is sooooo good, cheaper than even drugstore, but utterly high end experience. No essential oils or weird ingredients needed. I just can’t find any commercial products that beat my blend, which I change up seasonally. But it doesn’t make sense to do unless you are going to have multiple plant oils handy all the time. lol but the “secret ingredient” that took my recipe to an A++? Mineral oil! That’s the hero ingredient for fast breakdown of heavy stuff like mascara. Like the main ingredient in the 80s & 90s makeup remover we all used…. It’s mostly just marketing is my point lol
Byoma seemed like a kids brand to me like Bubble so never really tried much, but out of curiosity I did buy and use the face mist and the jelly cleanser. I disliked the mist as it was too basic and nothing compared to my K-Beauty face mists, so never bought it again and went back to the korean ones. The cleanser was nice.... I don't really like the square packaging but the new milk cleanser and toner seems much better, I want to try those. Byoma seem pretty good ingredient wise, I am curious about the barrier repair cream, as I have been using LRP cicaplast for years and want to try something different but was never able to find something as nourishing.
I know exactly what you’re saying! I have a feeling byoma is trying to expand their horizons (based on the centella “toner” -essence lol-, barrier treatment, and now even lip oils). Exciting, as I do feel the previous line had a pretty basic feel to it.
Tried the rich cream when it came out and it was great and then the pump stopped working halfway through. So mad cos it's not in a tube so couldn't cut it open like a tube. Scarred and too scared to try anything else 😂
I tried the hydrating serum I picked up from Target on a whim and there was something in it my skin did not like - I seemed to get more breakouts in some areas when using it (I did try again later to make sure it wasn't hormonal or stress breakouts). Sad, cause it otherwise felt nice. I also wish brands would get off the HA in everything kick - my skin doesn't tend to like it and it's hard to find products for dry skin without it.
Pumps on packaging failed for me when I ordered for shipping when it was frigid outside. Items I bought in store all had pumps that worked. Not sure if it was the temps or pressure with shipping.
For the barrier moisturiser, would you say it’s light enough for morning use on skin that gets a little more oily in the summer months? The other body products are meant to be much better than the body oil, sounds like you were maybe a little unlucky in which one you tried first
Hmmm. Tbh, it might be heavy on oily skin, though keep in mind that I’m guessing (as I have very much the opposite skin type!) Unlucky sounds about right, wouldn’t be the first time 🤣😂
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I do normally have very, very dry skin but when we have hotter weather in the summer I do get a little bit of oiliness in my t-zone
Tbh this one is actually a really good option. It’s lighter than some of the milky toners but still quite hydrating. Another option though: get some compressed sheet masks and use those with whatever toner you currently have. That helps prevent evaporation and forces the product into your skin, so you get more from it without a heavy/sticky feel!
We like the spray mist. But i am not surprised at Ultas stock performance. I want to read some analyst reviews, the 10 k and a few quartleys. Ive wanted to do same on Sephoras too. Honestly i just think inflation has killed us and its not going to get better unless drastic action is taken. 16 Trillion in debt with more going to Ukraine and im in Texas this border shit has to stop.
I felt ok that we don't have Ulta here after hearing this review. Interesting but no must haves if you've got some great Korean beauty. Yam milk cleanser for instance?😊
Would you say the milky toner could be a cheaper alternative to the Dr Ceuracle Kombucha Essence? If anyone has any moisturizing essence recommendations I'll take them!!
That’s one of few milky toners that is really quite different (well, that and the Mary & May lol). The Dr. C feels VERY moisturizing vs hydrating and a bit moisturizing. Still, I do think both accomplish the same general idea!
Do I need another milky cleanser or milky toner? Absolutely not. Am I buying them both after watching this video? I sure the f*ck am. And probably the barrier repair cream that I also don’t need. Sigh….
They’ll be there for ya when you’re ready for them, maybe we will even eventually see some good Ulta deals… 👀 (Ulta needs their stock to go up, after all 🤣)
Newbie here, I've watched a few of your videos. I will say your skin, wow. I think this Skin-care line is great for our kids who are getting into skin-care. I wouldnt feel like I would be potentially burning my kids' face off. I have a 13 yr old son who is going through puberty and he isnt too fond of his teeny tiny pimples. I LOVE milky cleansers/toners. My fav is from GlowOasis( milky ph balancing toner) I am in Canada and Byoma is slowly coming into Shoppers Drug Mart, again, not a fan of this disgusting inflation as everything seems to be beyond $$$
We are living in the weeping angels episode of Dr. who. The second you look away, prices go up. It’s exhausting!! But yes, happy this brand is affordable, whew!!
I really liked the jelly cleanser at first and then it started burning my face. The same thing happened with the gel cream. Was waiting for this review because i have my eye on their new cream. Gret video!
Omg the body serum stunk soooo bad I never returned anything sooo fast. The oil kinda stunk and the lotion was weird smell. Sooo disappointed w the fragrance.
I wish! I have no idea how to do that hahaha Although I did buy…paper stocks or something?? Back in the era of the GameStop situation. Very glad I didn’t spend real money let me tell you 🤣
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I wish I knew how to as well XD no idea what the paper stocks are but I was a bit obsessed with a game called tap tap trillionaire a few years back and it was about buying stocks 😆
Ulta stocks probably dropped because their new sale format was so garbage 😬 AND it was right before the Sephora spring savings event so after such a flop, everyone is dumping all that money they didn’t spend with Ulta into Sephora instead 😅 (myself included, cuz they wouldn’t let me use the 20% coupon more than once whereas Sephora Rouge I can use 20% all sale long 💅🏽)

Sigh….
They’ll be there for ya when you’re ready for them, maybe we will even eventually see some good Ulta deals… 👀 (Ulta needs their stock to go up, after all 🤣)
The barrier one isn’t in Canada yet 😢
Great review!
These are also at target
Have a few of their products I like them they also have body washes and body lotions
is byoma ok for oily skin
What about the face mist for dehydrated oily skin? 👀
I’d say it’s a good option! Dehydrated skin benefits from humectants, which is exactly what you’re getting in a watery mist ☺️
I know you're a fellow drunk elephant bora barrier repair cream lover... what is your opinion. Drunk elephant? or Byoma's repair cream? :-)
I was wondering how to close the body lotion
I really liked the jelly cleanser at first and then it started burning my face. The same thing happened with the gel cream.
Was waiting for this review because i have my eye on their new cream. Gret video!
I’ve heard a few people say that one didn’t work out for them! Surprising as it looks low irritant, but that’s never a guarantee 😢
Omg the body serum stunk soooo bad I never returned anything sooo fast. The oil kinda stunk and the lotion was weird smell. Sooo disappointed w the fragrance.
I had the same experience. I don't think the shelf life is long and that Byoma will be Good Bye Oma soonish. :)
So it’s not just me 👀
Your skin is glowing. Can you please share your skin routine.
Oh in this video it was this brand! It changes based on the “brand of the month” ☺️
I always keep: adapalene and k-beauty sunscreens though
Byoma is actually made in Korea so it’s definitely k-beauty inspired 😂
Thank you, very helpful
Ulta focusing on luxury brands makes them seem more like a Sephora wannabe. I think the stock market noticed.
It seems like they’ve made a lot of mistakes in a short period of time. Wish they would get back to what makes people Ulta fans in the first place!
did you buy some ulta shares last week then? 🤭
I wish! I have no idea how to do that hahaha
Although I did buy…paper stocks or something?? Back in the era of the GameStop situation. Very glad I didn’t spend real money let me tell you 🤣
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I wish I knew how to as well XD no idea what the paper stocks are but I was a bit obsessed with a game called tap tap trillionaire a few years back and it was about buying stocks 😆
i have so much byoma

i just bought the byoma milky cleanser i am really loving it hence why i am now looking to try out more products from the brand :)
Ulta stocks probably dropped because their new sale format was so garbage 😬 AND it was right before the Sephora spring savings event so after such a flop, everyone is dumping all that money they didn’t spend with Ulta into Sephora instead 😅 (myself included, cuz they wouldn’t let me use the 20% coupon more than once whereas Sephora Rouge I can use 20% all sale long 💅🏽)
Agreed, it does feel like they did everything wrong!
I hate those coupons we can only use once especially with no option to split the order to store pickup and online to get items in stock.
