Huge Laurie always comes across as a bit overawed by George Clooney, almost like he feels his own light is no where near as bright. Yet we all know which one was the better actor at being a doctor. ;)
Englishmen are often very self effacing. Laurie is a great actor. I didn’t particularly like House & fault the writers for some of the lame storylines & ridiculous diseases.
I only discovered House recently and I just love it and Hugh Laurie!

I'm literally in love by this interview...first, the soup joke at the beginning is a kind of 😉 to the funny old "Brown Soup/Suit" A Bit of Fry & Laurie sketch...and funnier because HLAURIE is wearing a brown suit...
2nd, The pure chemistry between the two is delightful....
And finally, why I have the impression (in a near future) it's possible that Clooney will cast him In his next movie he will direct....

yes. this is a destiny of lots of actors in long lasting series. and mostly not good for their further career. like Hugh. he did not make much after House MD. Hugh IS and will always be House. ;)
Nope. He did a lot of work in his native England before House. He was hilarious in ‘Jeeves and Wooster’, among many, many other things.
He was a terrifying bad guy in ‘The Night Manager’.
that's one thing I could not STAND about being famous. Everyone yankin at me for autographs everywhere I go. that would drive me NUTS. LOL

+Spencer Erickson There is something like that actually, it's more of a comedy sketch they did with Jimmy Kimmel though as a ER 'reunion'. You should definitely check it out, a lot of it is them joking around like in this interview.
