    This is the video I was looking for when I was installing mine. Best video explaining how to install on a 9th gen tbh

    Already replaced my shift cable on my 12 - Civic a few years back. The other day I shifted a little hard into second and I think I stretched my cable because I immediately started having trouble with second. That cable was cheap and readily available back then, like the other guy said it's on backorder now and it's $226. It was nowhere near that much before.

      yeaaah that’s why i went oem-spec aftermarket. Also keep in mind it might be your cable bushings, cheaper way to see if it helps👍🏻

      So I've noticed that sometimes when I shift it feels weird and not smooth. The trans literally got rebuild so it's not that. You think the cables could be going back it's OEM with hybrid bushings

    Yo quick question about your d16y7 video with cat back, you said you had OEM catalytic did you run the same exhaust setup as A 96-00 Ex ?

      yup that’s exactly right! i have a few videos on that setup, i have one titled “dx to ex conversion” where i explain. basically, get ex exhuast to get the good stuff with no modifications👍🏻

      @@AldenBuild I will definitely be checking that out, I’ve got an Lx with a y7 and found out my exhaust manifold is cracked so I bought a used Dc sports header then realized I need an Ex exhaust system which honestly I was gonna need eventually since I’m doing a head swap

      yessirr! since you have that header, buy a catted test pipe on ebay (VERY cheap), then you just need an ex catback of your choice and your set

    Hey quick question bro if you could answer was the gear selector loose when you had the stretched cables ? Because I’m pretty sure my cables are stretched and my gear selector has play to it so I’m trying to see if I need to just replace the cables

    • @AldenBuild
      @AldenBuild  11 месяцев назад

      yeah, whenever i’d put it into a gear i’d have to pull further to make sure it’s in gear. Hopefully that helps!

      Having similar problem Prety sure it’s both gear selector and because when I let out the gas that the rpm goes down make a grinding noise and cables and only have 120k miles on it
