Pro tip: if you want the files to be recovered to their original folders (as opposed to a mess of thousands of random files) click on options then actions and check the box for "restore folder structure." Now your files will be restored to their correct locations! Hope this helps someone.
found so many of my deleted files, no cost, no sign up and no drama, very quick to use. if you want to pay you will get more but this was a massive help to me. I had about 1000 photos/vids brought back to life very quickly. mac version would be nice but lucky I have an old windows pc for things like this!
help! I installed this and I got a lot of lost photos back but when I move them to my photos folder it wont allow me to open up the picture. it says for one of the photos "it appears that we don't support this type of file format." what do I do?
This is just what I was hoping to find online, information about a good recovery tool to find and restore lost files, and your video is very explanatory and helpful. Thank you so much.
Is there a limit to how many MB you can recover before having to purchase an upgrade "Pro" version of Recuva ? I noticed this is typical of other recover programs like this. And GREAT video. I was very hesitant to give this a shot. Thanks alot !
I have a 4tb hard drive, split into 2 partitions, I can access all the data from 1 partition in my computer, but the other partition become unallocated that also has the data, can i just scan the unallocated partition only, I want to get the data back from the unallocated partition only. Should i do a deep scan or quick, plz reply, thanks
I scanned my external SSD 3 times, each time it took over 12 hours....and every time when I try to do the recovery part, the application crashes immediately, I tried sending a report but it crashed even at that part ... Waste of money and time
I have accidentally clicked "quick format" on my hard drive (which I was supposed to do on my flash drive). Now my D hard drive is empty. I immediately stopped using my computer to avoid overwriting and losing any chance of recovering my files. At the moment, I am researching for solutions till i found your video... but we don't have the same scenarios. Can Recuva recover my files?
I have a question. You gave in your example two files that were flagged red as not being able to recover. Would running the deep option possibly raise that level to yellow or even green indicating that the file is now recoverable?
The program is useless. I tried to recover a 6 GB ISO-file. It showed that the file should be recoverable, but it "recovered" an useless, empty file with the name of the ISO and 125 bytes size.
@@DanielBrosman08211986 I can't believe it has been over two years ago since my SSD failed. In the end I got the SSD working again and I backed everything up. Let this be a lesson to never store data on the OS drive. I did not need Recuva, I just couldn't believe my eyes when I tested the drive and it was working again.
Chances are, it won't be able to recover those. A deleted file is just "marked" as deleted, but is still technically on the drive until it is overwritten. A formatted disk overwrites all the sectors with blank space.
TRY THIS FIRST! I used heaps of free and paid programs and they didn’t recover shit. Then I tired this last and recovered everything that I permanently deleted. All working order and no corrupted files!! Fucking love you recuva you saved my bacon!
When you started the scan, in stage 1, it says that it had found over 230,000 files found but at the end it only showed four. What are the 230,000 files?
That boils down to personal preference. If you can't get the data recovered via a free tool like Recuva, you might have to look into buying one. Even then, there are a lot more factors that come into play. Some work with SD cards, but only if Windows is able to mount them as a drive. Else it can't scan them.
Is there any chance you might be able to answer a question about the folder recovery option? It is fairly complex so I will wait to see if you see my message before I type it all out.
I think I figured it out. I have a huge recovery to deal with 5 million files 800 GB. Recuva doesn't seem to have been able to recover the files in their original folders which makes my recovery months of sorting work. Do you know of any programs that might be better for getting the folder tree recovered properly.
Wow! The only programs I have experience in recovering files is Recuva and Undelete. I've personally never had a problem recovering folder tree structure, as long as the sector that it was written to isn't written over. But I do understand your plight.
😮 excellent video Just like you said it would not recover files from my SD card for my camera. Do you know of a program that will, under freeware. I am going to subscribe and hit the bell now Thanks KK

So if you formatted a HDD that had an windows op system on it. You can have recovered HDD the same file structure as when it got wiped?

Mine is with the videos... its all black
THIS JUST SHOWS ME ALL THE FILES CURRENTLY ON MY PC AND NOT THE ONES i HAve deleted from the recycle bin.

What software do you use to recover from micro SD cards?

Same here, very interested in nowing.
is there away to flag just the green files with one click...???
Is there any way to cancel my subscription to recuva? i bought the recuva subscription year but do not use it anymore
after the system told me they have scanning multiple files , once the scanning time is over they say they found any file to recover
Can this be used to recover files from the recycling bin?

My dcmi deleted once my sd card got full. Why did it do that and will recuva work for me?

Hey! I have one question. Can I recover my deleted iPhone data (photos, videos, etc.) Bua this nice software on my laptop?

Can Recuva recover my files?
yes it can
I have a question. You gave in your example two files that were flagged red as not being able to recover. Would running the deep option possibly raise that level to yellow or even green indicating that the file is now recoverable?
Not likely. You can always try, but it's not likely to improve the results of individual files.
Thank you and I will try this tonight
Does this work with a nikon camera with an sd card?
"The Application Recuva Has Quit Unexpectedly". How do I solve this issue?
The program is useless. I tried to recover a 6 GB ISO-file. It showed that the file should be recoverable, but it "recovered" an useless, empty file with the name of the ISO and 125 bytes size.
Use #Recuva to restore deleted data and files from your computer. :)
My windows7 SSD just failed, just wondering if I could get any advice about recovering the files?
Got a lot of memories on that thing, any advice?
If I click on the start the deep scan option on a Monday morning, When will it be completed?

Such a great review and tutorial! Thanks a lot for making it.
Does it only recover deleted files? What about a formated drive, drive that changed to RAW etc..
Chances are, it won't be able to recover those. A deleted file is just "marked" as deleted, but is still technically on the drive until it is overwritten. A formatted disk overwrites all the sectors with blank space.
THank you for this. Very helpful. What programs do you use to recover Iphone text messages?
I recovered a video from a micro sd..unfortunately its all black...why is this so and how can i fix this? The files was deleted an hour ago
That is very weird, I'm not sure why unless it didn't recover all the data points with the file.
It sometimes mean the file is corrupted
TRY THIS FIRST! I used heaps of free and paid programs and they didn’t recover shit. Then I tired this last and recovered everything that I permanently deleted. All working order and no corrupted files!! Fucking love you recuva you saved my bacon!
It's really good for freeware.
First scan didn't showed absolutely nothing

A shame it can't look for files that aren't deleted... Albeit it has an option for it... At least I can't get that option to work.
is 7-Data Recovery Suite worth buying ?
does it recover from sd cards ?
is it better?

After my windows was rewrited my d drive is gone RIP

I can try, but no promises :)

Amendment: Tested again - a 2.4 GB Video (MP4) was correctly recovered.
😮 excellent video
Just like you said it would not recover files from my SD card for my camera. Do you know of a program that will, under freeware.

Great review Capp
Thank you very much!
Hmm...never knew something like this was possible...thx capp for the review.
Glad I could teach you something :)
Is this a virus
No
Second scan didn't show shit. Fuch this.
Nothing is guaranteed in data recovery. If it didn't find anything, then the files could have been overwritten already in the sector they were saved.
