the egyptian robots are the necrons. the egyptian space marines are the thousand sons. some of them were turned into living soul dust piloting their armor by their respective god. they were normal spacemarines once. and i think they had that same armor before they were turned. am not entirely sure tho. all chaos legions can and do summon literal demons. as the thousand sons are tseench based they summon tseench demons wich are mostly birds.
Yes, it is literally the same armour they had on when turned to dust, and it all sealed shut. If it opens to the outside world, they spill out and truly die. This may even be a blessing for them, as they are essentially like mindless automata in their current form.
The Rubrics weren't changed by Tzeench, that was Ahriman.
@@boothefuzzyhamster3815 Some of them are mindless, others have no mouth, HAVE BEEN screaming, and are unheard by any but Tzeench and perhaps Magnus (meaning their brothers direct them the same as they do the mindless ones). As a bonus: while they don't feel most pain, some get their feeling back as the ripples of the Rubric and Flesh Change happen to pass back over and they catch on fire that shoots out of all the holes in their armor as their brothers can hear them scream and call for help from other brothers that have been dead for thousands of years. 😊

Tyranids have their "standardized" forms, but the whole rapid evolution thing comes from how fast they'll adapt to different situations or different purposes. IIRC encounters with the Tau triggered the hivemind to start producing more long-range units, while consuming the psychically attuned eldar allowed the hive to take Zoanthropes and turn them up a notch to make the more advanced Neurothropes. One of the more recent new tyranid forms is a psychic variant of Lictor called the Neurolictor, because the invisible cthulu murder-alien just wasn't bad enough.
The Chaos Marines belong to the heretic chapter known as the "Thousand Sons". Way back during the Horus Heresy days they used to be normal marines, albeit very psychically gifted, but they had this very minor and inconvenient genetic defect known as the "flesh change" that made them turn into amorphous flesh blobs. So following their defection from the Imperium and allegiance to the chaos god Tzeentch, their chapter master Ahriman tried to come up with a solution for this issue. The very silly little act of warp sorcery he done did done did indeed work, and the flesh changed was cured!...
... except all the -non psyker- psychically weaker thousand sons were incinerated by the warp-charged psychic brainblast they recieved, turning both body and soul into funny space dust with dementia puppeteering the empty suits of armor they once wore. They're known as Rubric Marines, in reference to the act of sorcery (The Rubric of Ahriman) that hit 'em with the space hell version of the sultan's curse. They and their terminator equivalents, the Scarab Occultists, march onwards under the direction of their still flesh-and-blood sorcerer brothers who provide them with the necessary warp energy to function in the material realm.
Mostly correct. Except: ALL of the Thousand Sons are psykers, and the ones that got dusted were random.
@@marmyeater What I've heard was that those that were strong enough psykers to resist the warp energies were empowered, and subsequently became even stronger sorcerers, while the ones that became rubrics were those on the weaker side. So they were all psykers yeah, it's just some weren't psykery enough to pass the vibe check.
Though given this is Tzeentch-related shenanigans though, there being some level of randomness regardless wouldn't surprise me. Bro's out here playing multiversal 4D chess with himself and sabotaging himself half the time because it's all part of his grand scheme lmao.
Ahriman was the first captain, not chapter master. Not sure if the thousands sons had a legion master prior to Magnus being discovered.
you dont beat the nids, the nids are 40ks end time, all factions will die to the nids just because they are that much of a threat

1: Most space marines know that the Emperor isn't actually a god.
2: The entire point of the Emperor is that he is alive and in constant agony on his chair, because being there lets him both: produce the Astronomicon and hold closed a second Eye of Terror that's trying to form right over Terra.
3: Yes, if the Horus Heresy hadn't happened: the humans would be winning BIG TIME, but again: the Emperor is not a god, just the absolute best that a man can be.
The Emperor is in a constant state of life and death, but neither, he's holding back actual hell(warp) where the 4 gods of chaos are. The chaos forces your fighting are followers and deamons of Tzeentch, god of change, schemes and magic(Basically loki , if he was even more of a problem)

The tyranids have guns that are just small tyranids that fire bullets that are just tinier tyranids. even the air they exhale is full of microscopic tyranids.

The reason some space marines have red helmets is because of a space marine sergeant that came up with the idea of training the different chapters on how to fight other space marines (Since from his point of view space marines were the most powerful warriors ever, so training in how to fight a space marine would be the best form of training possible). He was initially mocked by others by being forced to wear a red helmet but after the Horus heresy he was regarded as a genius and thus the Space marines began to honor him by making the sergeants of their chapters wear red helmets (Initially only the ultramarines did this but soon all other chapters copied it).
The chaos marines you fight here are not necrons (Those are far, FAR worse to deal with than even the Tyranids). These are known as the "Thousand Sons". These ones specifically are Rubric Marines. Basically imagine the living armor from Dragon's Dogma 1 but with a gun.

"How do you stop the Tyranids?" That's the fun part! You don't! If every bullet in the 40K galaxy was fired and killed one Tyranid, then they'd still have enough soldiers left over to blanket every planet in the galaxy several times over. The only reason the galaxy isn't dead yet is because they just got here and they're still scouting.
A Neurothrope is a big deal because it's a further evolution of the Zoanthropes you've already fought as minibosses. IIRC, it's not only more powerful but it can suck the psychic energies out of targets to heal nearby units on top of acting as a Synapse Creature.
And there's a further evolution of that genus called the Neurotyrant. One was able to decive an entire world's defenders that they were receiving visions from the Emperor and lured them all into a massive kill box. It's not just the bioforms that are evolving.
The most entertaining part about this is hearing them be so wrong 😂
I really hope that they also do some of the multiplayer and learn that they can customize their own space marine armors, both pve and pvp
those are rubric marines, basically the thousand sons tried to stop themselves from mutating made a deal with a chaos god who messed up the ritual deliberately. the sorcerers are still flesh and blood but the normal marines got turned to dust with their souls trapped in the armour, basically leaving them undead golems.
addendum: the ritual was called the rubric, hence dusty boys are rubric marines
Also I recommend Bricky's guide to Warhammer 40k. It's a bit out of date (no Votann), but it helps ease in newcomers to the gonzo lore of the 40k universe.

Many of the mortal servants of Chaos who are not transhuman Heretic Astartes are also known to the Imperium by the term the "Lost and the Damned."

I'm not even a casual fan of WH40K, and apparently, even I know more about the background lore of it than Josh and Cotton do.
Side note too: there are no Chaos Orks because they're protected from the corrupting influence of Chaos by their own Warp gods, Gork and Mork, who by right of being the gods of one of the single largest psychically attuned factions in the universe, are also the strongest warp gods. The reason they don't just dominate the warp is because they're too busy fighting each other to see who's better, only taking occasional breaks to smack any other god that tries to nab one of their boyz.

15:08 The Emperor is more like 50-60k years old but refused to get involved with human affairs for the vast majority of his life. It was only in 27th millennia (I think?) where humanity entered into its penultimate dark age, humans had already taken over the galaxy but then a galaxy wide warp storm came and cut off everyone from everyone else, Emp's was like "ENOUGH! I am taking over!" Cut out his empathy along the way and became the worst dad of all time. Leading to 5 odd centuries later him being not quite dead on his golden throne because he is a living Chaos god.
Sorry to comment twice but forgot till you all started talking about the neurothrope but I would suggest doing operations after finishing the campaign as actual pro and noob videos as it has some really cool bosses including the main big boy of the tyrannids.

There are 4 chaos gods, there’s smarty boy, angry boy, grandpapa and slut. You are fighting Smarty boy. And chaos is the whole reason why Horous became a traitor. He got stabbed by a chaos dagger and it slowly corrupted him to make him easier to control.
