    The lead singing his heart out but I wish the whole performance showed the group from start to finish. Those steps were awesome. Made me wonder what I was missing when the camera went to the lead singer only.

      Yes they were. These guys brought that hot greasy soul to the streets of Philly. You could hear their music all up and down our block. Those were the days. I miss those days.

    Everybody that thinks they dance better than the temps never watched the temps lol. These are the temps moves and this is what John Gary Williams said himself
    "The quartet’s first major concert appearance, a Florida date with the Temptations, left a lasting impression on the Mad Lads’ choreography. "The Temps set us down in some chairs and we watched them," John Gary remembers. "They taught us a lot of moves. They and Gladys Knight and the Pips gave us a lot of encouragement. We would try to see the ideology behind their steps. It came down to every emotion and every feeling having a move."

    • @trinidad179
      @trinidad179 2 года назад

      I disagree their moves are unique to them and nothing like the Tempts.

    • @tramizal
      @tramizal 2 года назад

      So if John Gary himself said the tempts influenced them and taught them some stuff how are u disagreeing? Make it make sense. These moves are clearly temptation inspired. Did u even see the temptations perform ever because how can you disagree lol this is asinine.

    I loved the Mad Lads and especially this tune. Well, I loved all their tunes - they had that deep-down soulful sound that's missing from almost all singers these days. That's too bad for the kids of today but us oldtimers still have the best music of the 50's, 60's and 70's to bring back those wonderful times, memories and feelings. Lucky, lucky us.

    The Temps had nothin' on the Mad Lads as far as dance steps. I flat out loved their mid tempo stuff. Sounded a lot more like early street corner Philly soul than Memphis Stax/Volt.
