I love the dynamic of Ky starting out obsessed with dueling Sol, growing up, getting married, starting a family and becoming a metaphorical and literal king, and Sol getting sad his rival doesn't care about fighting him anymore
There's also Leo being a post edgy superiority complex rival type character who is now capable of being self-confident without putting so much pressure on himself to be the best or having to bring others down, and reminisces with Ky as war buddies. Or Chipp going from revenge-driven loner ninja to goofy and spontaneous but perceptive weeb president who simply lives in the moment and does what good he can. GG characters are basically shonen characters who continue to save the world after growing the hell up.

32 mins into the video, and then we finally get started on the story mode. What a game. I tried to catch up on my own but was so confused on what was happening in the story, I had no idea the arcade mode also had cutscenes.
Its actually wild to see the difference in quality/budget of the old story modes compared to Strive's. Anyone thats watch woolie's vids here, i really do recommend checking on Strive's story mode.
