The show was great tbh it was made in a way that you didn't need to know or watch the original or re make moves the show could stand on it's own to feet if you will and definitely keep the viewers interested.

The show had the furtive feel of people on the run and the goth appeal of the Creepy Doctor’s Mansion-something for everyone. SHO will probably replace it with another mean-rich-people series-just what the world needs…

HBO makes awful shows like Velma which is famous for hate watching....and the horrible gossip girl reboot that nobody asked for...which got two seasons by the way....imagine how much money they are investing in these Productions like the gossip girl reboot only for the viewership to completely drop not even half way in... Yet they pay no mind to completely new content....Even tho let the right one is considered an adaptation of a movie... The original movie was foreign....!!!! Foreign ..meaning many people THE GENERAL AUDIENCE IS NOT familiar with the original source material....so the show was a chance to re tell a different story that was loosely inspired by the original...making It a completely new different thing. Why not make room for new content.... But showtime would rather purchase new ips from high end steaming services..they canceled this show but showtime recently bought a cancelled Netflix series called uncouple or some crap like that.. 😓 I'm done...I will never watch showtime again.. remember when they were top notch and had iconic shows like Dexter. Bring that era back please where we can build stories up and make room for new content at the same time... But on a lighter note... A ray of hope... Another cancelled showtime series called three women recently got picked up by Starz...soo I hope perhaps maybe this show will find a.home...i suggest Apple TV it's a perfect service for indie films as well as limited miniseries and other original shows as well.

I think they should've planned the story out to be a one season story. Maybe add an extra one or two episodes to flesh it out if they needed to or just fit it into the ten episode schedule. There's probably a couple different finale situations that would be interesting that could be done by episode 10. They find a cure in episode 10. They end episode 10 on like a hopeful note as they work on finding a cure together. They end episode 10 with Eli dying. Maybe Naomi and the police come in and everyone goes to prison and/or dies. Ending it with Naomi becoming a vampire is such a huge plot twist that it's gotta have some pay off beyond that episode. Even if it didn't get cancelled, the actors are gonna age, which is fine for Isaiah, not so much for Eli. That gives you a very limited window of time that you have to film this story in.

Then, when they heard paramount was buying them out the plan to renew the show was dropped. Paramount holds all the cards. You need to contact them and keep contacting them. Email them tweet them call them tell your friends to do the same spread the word. This is not a no post it’s 2024 January 10th. This show must continue to. It had very good ratings the first season. And from what I hear, everyone is willing to come back for the show. So basically, it’s up to us to condense Paramount that is in their interest to renew the show. to me it actually wasn't, it was a great series the respected both films. Was their some underline woke moments yes, but those were moments and those moments didn't take over the entire series. If you were to tell me that the kid was being bullied by three white kids and they hated him because he was black then i would agree with u, but they bullied him because he liked magic and was a nerd. It was a series with great characters with great relationships and great lore.
