Love it Paul... the extension looks fantastic... so much scenery packed into that space and that's way better than giving in to the temptation to fill the space with tracks... I love the M.O.W. department idea... thanks for sharing
Paul, I never thought I would like industrial flats, and industrial backdrops, as I always thought I needed all four sides of a building, and backdrops were only for trees, sky, and other natural scenery. However, your layout is proof of concept that industrial backdrops, and building flats actually can be immersive. So I'm rethinking future scenery purchases now.
I’m happy I’ve been an influence. Before my current layout, I had the same perspective as you. Now I’m a big believer in making the most of your space by using forced perspective, kitbashed structures that blend into the background, and backdrops that add to the story. Full buildings work, but melding them into the backdrop creates the illusion of distance and eliminates the feeling of walls around the layout. Thanks for the nice comments!
Hey Paul. Wow ! I'm the first to comment today... Well let's say that the pieces of the puzzle are gently falling in place. It was an area you had to finish to make the whole thing looking even better. You've blended it like a pro. Like it very much. Looks great as usual. Keep on your good work.
You should be pleased with this extension Paul. You did another fantastic job. The backdrop with the extra greenery looks great. One question for you, regarding details, where did you get the derails from? They look to be functional even. Have a great evening sir !
Thank you! The derailers are Durango press midwestmodelrr.com/drp214/. They are operational. Made from cast metal. You have to file and assemble them with CA glue but they are great.
Awesome Pauly looking absolutely great dunno how the hell i missed your survey !! but iam on board with the majority of your responses !
Thank you Ricky!!
