Many thanks for your excellent video! The best I have ever seen and learned so much helpful information. Now, I have no excuses not to clean the beast.
Super Video! Endlich mal jemand, der richtig gut und ausführlich erklärt, wie das Reinigen des Sharks funktioniert. 👍👍👍 Auspacken und saugen kann ja wohl wirklich jeder, dazu brauche ich echt kein Video.
This video is brilliant, I have just been gifted one of these vacuums, and it needs a good clean. the roller needs , how would you do that? can you use detergents or just rinse with water.
I don't think that there is an easy way to remove the brush roll. I'm not at home at the moment but will have a look when I get back and let you know if I find a solution 🤞
@Chic Chic get a wet wipe and roll it into a sausage. Place it on the roller and start rolling the roller. U will see the wipe go through and start cleaning the clear plastic
My whole life story. Thank you for the help, you have aided the planet Galaxakon in it's years of famine. Thanks y'all and, as the humans say, peace out - the make believe aliens of Galaxakon 👽
If you undo the three large screw underneath by rotating partly anticlockwise, ya can clean the entrance to the upwards tube n that usually has a bit of a mouse’s nest tucked away blocking yer main air intake. Good video though, very useful 👍
Those wheels. Get a flat blade underneath in the gap (or at the axles sides) and lever. They are clipped in at the axle and pop out. Then just pull the dust/hairs off the axles ends. Push back in until they clip. 👍
Those little jockey wheels are an absolute bugger ........ Do you know if they can be popped out and back in again ...... I started to prise one out and the inside prong looked like it would come out .... but then i got cold feet in case i snapped something ... So i stopped.
You can just pop them out. I discovered so only today. Makes it much easier to clean hah. Prise each side until they come out and then just push them back in again once cleaned.
I saw a comment which is was i wanted to know and you said youd look into it but no reply after? So basically the bigger rolling brush with plastic flaps on, did you manage to find out if theres a safe way to take apart and clean ? Please and thank you
Hi April, A radiator is a central heating radiator. Most homes in the UK have gas central heating which heats and pumps hot water around a circuit of radiators which transfer the heat energy to each room. A radiator is basically a hollow metal panel full of hot water. In the video I suggest putting the damp filter on (not in ) one of these radiators to help it dry more quickly if it is cold and/or wet outside. I hope this helps.
This is the best study I can find which actually measures the effect of cleaning hepa filters smartairfilters.com/en/blog/how-to-clean-wash-hepa-filter/ It looks like cleaning with water reduces the effectiveness of a hepa filter by about 50%

You can also remove little wheels if you push them a bit. It's easier to clean when you remove them.
Thanks Igor 👍

I would be tempted to use a mild detergent like fairy liquid in warm water.
Is there any way to remove the larger roller? M plastic thing is dark and dirty but can’t get to it to clean it. Very annoying

Mine too! Struggling to clean inside of the plastic cover. I would like to know how to get an access to that dirt.
Yep, crap design that it has a clear window, obviously so you can see how well it works etc but you can't clean the damn thing!!! Pathetic design.

@@systemconvertfirstyear8 Thanks, I'll try that 👍

Great tip. Thanks 👍
This thing has crazy power
I prefer my Shark compared to my old Dyson 😁
Thanks!!!!
Thank you, I'm glad you found it helpful 🙂
How often do you recommend cleaning the shark?
It depends how much you use it. I normally clean the foam filter roughly every 6 weeks and then do a full clean 2 or 3 times a year.
Yes sir.
Those little rollers underneath 'flick out' to clean, you do not have to use a sharp tool to remove hair off the axle
Thanks Linda 👍
I proud of you sir 🤗🤗
Thanks Shaimaa 🙂

I don't think they do come out easily. I'll have a look tomorrow

@Ian Webster That's great Ian. Thanks 👍

@@bigtedshomeI desperately want to clean that plastic shield. No matter how clean the rest is, I can still the gunk inside
What's radiator? You said "If it's winter put it in the radiator ir doesn't matter "

Is it bad that I used soapy water to clean the heppa filter?
